Atletics ain't for sissies, male or female.

Cursing students? The shame! The humiliation!! How dare he...when a calm, nicely worded request followed by a sincere "Please." would certainly elicit the desired result.(You do realize that most of today's kids can, and will, out cuss the worst sailor, right? Their vocabulary in this category would peel paint off any locker room wall.)

Evidently there was no evidence that any harm was done to a child or this guy would not have a teaching certificate.

I shudder to think how long many of today's players would have been tough enough to play in the '60s. Perhaps 3? Maybe not that many.

MAN UP! for crying out loud.

Nothing in the article about hitting a student. Get your facts straight.

You need to read a little closer. He was never accused of hitting a player or student. He was banned from coaching, not teaching, for cursing at a player after a personal foul. There isn't a coach in GA that could have held that job if cursing at players after personal fouls gets you fired.

I cant believe this post. He is a teacher and supposed to be a role model for the kids, not out cuss them. You are trying to defend him and I understand that but this man is a teacher who works with our youth and the kind of behavior displayed in this article is uncalled for and not how you handle things. This is 2012 and I think we should be doing better, not trying to go back to the 60's. After all the 60's weren't our proudest moments when it ccomes to the treatment of children, blacks, or women. Think about what you are saying. You can not just abuse kids in one state and then run up here to Georgia and ruin our kids because they wont have you there.
