So I'm here to say, F-YOU Republicans and Conservative trolls and Topix board a-holes, BENGHAZI is not a scandal, "IRS Intimidation" is not a scandal unless you'd like to go after the Conservative Republican who did it, NSA spying is not a scndal unless you'd like to prosecute W and all the Congress who voted several times to keep the Patriot Act you so love from the beginning in tact!!!
F-YOU BUT, thanks for giving us a two term Black President and the first Female President in 2016, Hillary Clinton!!!!!!!

How you do you justify tax dollars being spent to support you and Gomez? Why don't you have jobs? Why don't you pay back society for all the money spent to incarcerate you?

Another poster asked this question. Lynch's response was typical:

Maybe when he talks about working hard, he is referring to getting into fights, going to court, being assigned to the prison laundry, generating thousands of letters to the FBI and the FPD claiming that he has exposed the good old boys, that he is being threatened, blah, blah, blah. Not quite in the same league as punching a clock at the same time every day like most of us slobs.

Think of it: When you are wishing for a coffee knowing that lunch is still about 2.5 hours away, Lynch is just rolling out of the sack, grabbing that first bag of Cheese Doodles and a bottle of Dr. Pepper and flipping on "The View." Whilst you're hard at work.

Lynch is a member of the new American royalty: The entitled non-working class. Doesn't have a job, doesn't want a job, never going to try to go out and get a job. Yet he believes that about 50% of whatever you make should go to him.

Or, how does restricting access to a legal procedure create jobs? It doesn't so, why are Republicans doing so much of that and so little to actually create jobs?

I sure know how Abortion {might} add to the deficit, IF we allow your Republican party to pass Abortion restriction bills that ADD TO THE DEFICIT you like to say you care so much about!

"This is certainly amusing on its own, but there's a larger significance beyond the story's point-and-laugh quality.

Nearly every single House Republican voted last week to increase government spending and push the nation further into debt -- all to limit abortion access for some women.

The official budget scorekeeper of Congress says the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, which would ban abortions after 20 weeks, would increase Medicaid costs by as much as $400 million.

We're referring, of course, to Rep. Trent Franks'(R-Ariz.) legislation, the most sweeping abortion restrictions considered in Congress in a decade, which passed the House two weeks ago on a 228-196 vote. Nearly every Democrat voted against it; nearly every Republican voted for it.

At the time, the debate followed a fairly predictable trajectory -- opponents noted it was an unconstitutional bill that Congress' shouldn't waste time on, especially since it can't pass the Senate or earn the president's signature, while supporters said the Republican Party's right-wing base is a beast that must occasionally be fed with pointless legislation.

But the CBO score adds an amusing twist: Franks' bill, thanks to its impact on Medicaid expenditures, would make the deficit bigger if it became law.

It's the bigger picture that I care about, however. There's an amazing phenomenon that's unfolded in recent years, in which nearly every Republican on Capitol Hill says their principal goal is deficit reduction. They say it's absolutely necessary to help America's children and to prevent an imaginary debt crisis.

It doesn't matter if the deficit is already shrinking; it doesn't matter if these cuts would make unemployment worse; it doesn't matter if these austerity measures would undermine economic growth. There's a list of GOP priorities, and this has been at the very top throughout the Obama era.

But that's not the amazing part. Rather, what's been interesting has been watching these same Republican policymakers reject Democratic policies that reduce the deficit the GOP pretends to care so much about, while pushing Republican policies that make the deficit worse.

Congressional Democrats said, "If we approve the Affordable Care Act, we can reduce the deficit by hundreds of billions of dollars." And Republicans said no.

Congressional Democrats said, "If we approve comprehensive immigration reform, we can reduce the deficit by hundreds of billions of dollars." And Republicans are in the process of saying no.

Congressional Democrats said, "If we approve a cap-and-trade system and the Dream Act, we can reduce the deficit by tens of billions of dollars." And Republicans said no.

Now, GOP lawmakers certainly had their own reasons to oppose all of these ideas -- including the ones they came up with -- that had nothing to do with the government's fiscal challenges. But therein lies the point: for all the talk about deficit reduction being their top priority, when confronted with bills that actually reduce the deficit, Republicans seem oddly disinterested.

Instead, they like bills like Trent Franks', which actually make the deficit bigger, not smaller."

How is the House helping to

A) Reduce the Deficit?
B) Create Jobs?

And POOF goes scandalmania!!!!!!

"Republican officials and the Beltway media gambled on the IRS "scandal," betting heavily on its viability and seriousness, convinced that the odds were in their favor.

With each new revelation, it's clear the gamble did not pay off.

The House Oversight committee's top Democrat on Friday will release new evidence that the Internal Revenue Service targeted both progressive and conservative groups for extra scrutiny during the 2010 and 2012 election cycles.

Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) said in a draft letter to committee chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif) that congressional investigators have discovered training materials from an July 2010 "Screening Workshop" that prove IRS agents were told to be on the lookout for groups from both sides of the political spectrum.

A PowerPoint presentation from the workshop told IRS processors to screen for names that look like "tea party," "patriots," " 9/12 Project," and "progressive." It noted that such groups "may be more than 50% political," which could disqualify them from tax-exempt status.

This follows evidence from last week that IRS scrutiny was not ideologically based at all,
http://www.nytimes.com/2013/07/05/us/politics...

which followed evidence from the week before that groups on the left were subjected to identical treatment as groups on the right.
http://www.nytimes.com/2013/06/25/us/politics...

Everything about this entire political controversy has been discredited; all of the allegations have proven baseless.

Ideally, this would a time for at least some accountability. There were countless Republicans and mainstream pundits -- left, right, and center, from Limbaugh to Jon Stewart -- who were absolutely convinced that this story was legitimate and President Obama bore responsibility for the wrongdoing we now know didn't exist.

If I had a nickel for every unnecessary Nixon comparison, every headline about the White House in "crisis," every soundbite about "enemies lists," "cover-ups," the "second-term curse," and using the IRS as a political weapon, I could retire comfortably.

And yet, the scandal that evaporated into nothing has led to precious little introspection among those who demanded the public take it seriously. The political world flubbed this one, and instead of acknowledging that, it's simply moved on as if it hadn't made a mistake.

As we talked about a couple of weeks ago, the walkbacks from the politicians and commentators who were wrong never appear, because that's just not how our discourse seems to work. The political world treated Scandal Mania as a toy for several weeks, which eventually grew tiresome, which in turn led to a search for something new to play with.

As Jon Chait put it, "The entire scandal narrative was an illusion." But instead of the Beltway acknowledging this, we see largely the opposite -- there is no effort to look back and explain to voters that Scandal Mania was itself a mirage, and the widespread disgust was misplaced."

repeat! And yet, the scandal that evaporated into nothing has led to precious little introspection among those who demanded the public take it seriously. The political world flubbed this one, and instead of acknowledging that, it's simply moved on as if it hadn't made a mistake.
