Does anyone know if the wannabe Mayor attended this "Nazi" meeting?
There's another "gathering of the Nazi's" scheduled in April if anyone's interested.

FITCHBURG -- To run or not to run.

That is the question that needs the most deliberation when someone seeks elective office, according to Sally Cragin, organizer of a civic engagement seminar held at the Fitchburg Public Library Saturday morning.

"Members of Fitchburg councils, committees and commissions were among the dozen people who attended the hour-long session that included tips and tricks for getting on the ballot and winning an election."

I doubt if he would have been inside. He may be banned from there as well. One of the librarians told me that he was making a nuisance of himself, constantly demanding to be shown the hidden rooms downstairs where they keep the secret archives of the Masons, the Grand Army of the Republic, Christ Church, the Fay Club, the Hedley Bray papers and other secret documents of the good old boy network.

Perhaps he was across the street gathering "evidence" by snapping photos of license plates to add to his conspiracy database.

Unfortunately the city council have done nothing for the citizens of Fitchburg. The Mayor has just become an accepted do nothing.

It may be all over for the citizens of Fitchburg. The economy has failed, the local government only guaranteed failure by doing NOTHING for the community!

At this point under these conditions I see absolutely no hope for Fitchburg. You give nothing you get nothing. You get out of it what you put into it. The citizens have once again got the shaft.

The city council shouldn'tbe concerned with padding the Mayors bum as they need to lead, they need to be the checks and balances and most importantly the "VOICE OF THE PEOPLE"!

2. Fitchburg 63 up, 21 down

Small city in northern central mass, the home of Fitchburg State College, and a victim of the ice storm / blackout of 2008. When driving to Fitchburg, you know you have arrived when the roads are almost impossible to drive on without hitting a pothole. The train that runs through the city goes straight into North Station in Boston. Go downtown at your own risk (I recommend not going downtown). Also known as "The Burg," and the more common "Dirty Burg."

"Have you been to Fitchburg? Man, that's a dirty city!"

The ONLY thing that she has done is improve the bond rating!! This is a political point for her benefit ONLY!!!!! When are you going to get it?

The University recieved tens of Millions in grants that was airmarked for years prior!

Keep ignoring the truth about the status of the city! She has allowed everything to go to hell in a hand basket! Take a walk and look around! You think it is not bad??? Wait till the good weather!!

You really are clueless. There is little political upside to a positive bond rating, but higher bond ratings mean that the city does not have to spend as much to borrow money.
Bonds are floated as Tax Anticipation Notes to allow the city to operate and pay its bills before real estate and excise taxes are collected. Capital Improvement bonds are floated for road construction, buildings and other capital improvements and may be for a period of 30 years for major projects.
City government is about a lot more than just restricting parking in front of JR's.

Everything is so much better huh? Roads are better? Crime is better? Poverty is better? Community is better? Besides the bond rating what in Fitchburg has improved?

The city council is in the clouds over the bond rating! A Fitchburg company just approved a 100 employee facility in Leominster. This is what the city council should be concerned with!

People want out more than ever. Every cost of living expense is HIGHER! We have less services!

I am sure that EVERY citizen would be happy to hear that the city buys electricity for a much lower rate from a company other than Unitil!

While she shares coffee with Antonucci Mr. Unitil and Mr. Chamber of Commerce now along with his Mr. president label; the citizens pay higher Utility rates, the business community within Fitchburg is falling apart and disapearing.

If she spent half the energy on issues concerning Fitchburg residents and not on making others wealthy by destroying the community within Fitchburg then maybe it would be a safer and better place to live.

So, do you think it is a higher quality of life? She allowed the Longsjo to leave Fitchburg and for crack cocaine to take the lead in the business world.

I have been informed that the Longsjo race is coming back to Fitchburg, now we have to incorporate it in our definition!!!!!!

Do you get it yet? The Longsjo and similiar events is what we want to see as Urban definitions. We can do better, all we need is for our city councilors and Mayor to concentrate more on Fitchburg!

We all know that the city will save on interests!!! We know this fact! Let me explain, when you allow everything to go to ruins then it costs double to fix in the end!

When you do not keep up on maintenance then you have to spend on tearing down first and then there is a cost to rebuild. For example, if you continue to allow the roof to leak then the building will succumb to structural damage sometimes beyond repair!!

This is what happened to the water and sewer system!! There was plans in place to seperate the sewer from the rainwater catch basins years ago. The city planning and zoning boards knew there was a problem but they continued to approve development projects that collected rain water into the system.

This collection of rainwater was too much for the system to handle as it caused waste to go into the river in which Fitchburg was fined heavily for.

These boards should of stated to the developers,"We have hundreds of vacant homes within the city as we need to concentrate on filling these homes first before we allow for further development.

This is a good ole boy network situation. They destroyed Fitchburg in order to make a profit on it!

As I stated before there should be a question and answer period open public forum held at a school auditorium where the public can attend and answer questions.

There should be the department heads and also the "grunts" from each department to answer the questions.

There should also be representatives for the State departments too such as the State Police and Mass Highway department.

I notice many posters on here don't understand why things are done the way they are done and there is a simple answer for all of them.

Clueless? Lets look into properties of the city. They had been handed out to a certain group of people for free. Is this OK? The good ole boy network has destroyed Fitchburg.

In order to move Fitchburg forward we need to rid this network from having a grip on our want for a better and safer Fitchburg. They control everything!!!

You want to open a bar? You want to open a restaurant? You want to open a hot dog stand? You want to open a business in Fitchburg?

A city has NEVER operated correctly in this fashion. Everyone needs to be treated fairly from the start. No favoratisms! NONE!

Downtown Fitchburg is not empty because it is unsafe!!! The energy is bad and constricted. Everyone is watching!!!

When someone states "too much OT" then it is like War talk! The system is abused by the State Police!! Their pension system is corrupt.

It is all fixable but if it goes on to long then it is tougher to fix. Like everything they just continue to throw more money at the situation.

There is a need for OT but not at this level! Tell me how OT goes concerning court days! Try and explain that process to the tax payer!

Yes, the state police is more professional than local police departments. This isn't a police issue as much as it is a budget issue and a management issue.

There is enough money in this system and you know it. It doesn't help when the Colonels are going out on disability pensions when they do not need to but for the fact they are utilizing a loop hole!

Tell everyone how they go out on disability for high blood pressure. They perscribe me Lisinopril. Tell everyone what they do for a Colonel???

You will have to wait for my book for all the details but I will give you a brief. You ask how they are making profits?

OK, you have a group of individuals that if they do nothing about drugs then a neighborhood gets run down. Neighbors move out and city takes over properties. Then members of the same law enforcement outfit purchase all the properties for bottom dollar and some recieve them for FREE from the city.

Then there are friends of the network that are players. They could be developers! Hmmm?? Big profits here! Then there are properties that recieve a very low assessment which in return cost them thousands less in taxes.

Now for its members? Some are in the college. Some are in the police department, the courts, the clubs, the FFD and DPW. Many can be traced through DUI arrests and NON ARREST.

An FFD member stated out here that the Fay Club has a sticker and that certain people can pay $5-10,000 a sticker which will exempt them from arrest.

The only time this is not controlled is when an outside police agency gets involved.

Now if you want to know who the members are then give each city employee including the courts and city hall a slip that is to be annonymous and ask them if and who the network is and you will have your answer.

Whatever your answers you have to understand that the law rules and not your opinion, not your labels and not your wants.
