As I predicted the U.S. is sending in more battle ships and Russia is sending battle ships and submarines to counter act. This could get ugly fast and nobody but France will support us.

This is a tough situation. Yes, the world should not let Syria do this to their own people but if we are not getting enough support from our allies then this maybe a situation that we cannot do anything about.

Other countries know their economy will tank if they get involved such as Britain. It sounds terrible but maybe we should start taking care of our own country before worrying about the internal affairs of other countries.

It would be a different situation if Syria attacked the US or American entities overseas then there would be no question that we must protect our own.

So this can be justified either way. Mind our own business, attend to our own economy and domestic problems and there is nothing wrong with that. Or send Syria a message that they committed a horrendous crime on humanity which is nothing wrong with that too.

It does come down to money. Are we willing to let our economy go back into a recession to uphold our morals and values that we as Americans have always stood and fought for?

Syrians killing Syrians? Well now they've gone to far. If anyone is going to do any killing it's us!! Nuke the place!!! Turn it into a parking lot! Torch the sand into glass! That will teach them not to mess with the U.S. or we will retaliate with extreme predjudence!

No, you are Hmmmm, the Republican idiot poster boy of the Fitchburg Topix Forum. You have no moral fiber, no ability to conceive a rational thought on any subject. But you sure like to let that drivel flow out your keyboard.

In Play

The War Powers act, look it up, 60 window of action is given to the President

REagan used it
Bush 1 used it
Clinton used it
Obama can use it

Without going to Congress so you can just tell Speaker Boehnhead, who's chomping at the bit to use this against the President that no, the President does not have to consult him!

This is incomprehenshionable!!!! Syria is such an amatuer at killing people with chemicals! America is the expert at killing people with chemicals and sweeping it under the rug.

Does anyone remember the outbreak of deaths around the country from tainted drugs from a Cambridge company? Ok me either. Now if you don't mind I'm going to go smoke a cigarette full of toxins that are proven to kill me WEEEEEEE!

There are no reasons to attack Syria. There are no proofs, that it was chemical weapon there, if it was chemical weapon, there are no proofs that side of Asad has used it, it could be used by one of hundreds rebellion groups there or by erdoganīs side ( it is enemy of Assad too or king of saudi arabia- it is not friend of Assad too, or by criminals from mosad or provocation from cia side)or maybe it was no chemical attack, but something others.
It cannot be that people explain and majority of politicians from whole world including usa are against it, even there are reasonable republicans, who are against it like Rand Paul, even Newton Gingrich, even many democracts are against it. But there are 3 freaks: obumbe, kerry, hagel and they want to attack and the whole world must sit qioetly, because these three global mass murderers and terrorists have wish of fresh blood.

It's obvious that you graduated the fourth grade after only six years of trying... CONGRATS to you. Why the entire world thinks Obama is an idiot for a strike on Syria? Any intelligent thinking person knows why the rest of the world is against any strike THEY ARE RACIST!!

So, temporarily, he has a way out by waiting until Congress reconvenes to discuss. He could still back down. Should he?

I think it's to late now. Look on the bright side, we have Captain Obama on deck giving orders and Joe Biden at the helm of the ship. What's the worst that could happen?

Relax things seem to be settling down in Syria. Yes you had the Government fighting the Al-Qeida rebels (armed by us). But a secret report states that Obama sent a message stating 'If you guys can't get along you leave us no choice but to send Lynch over to live in your country.'. The response was 'OK you win! We will get along. You can bomb us or shoot us just please don't send that whacko here to live in my moms basement!'.

A great article today about Syria on Yahoo. The picture shows Obama on the phone with his foot on the desk and Biden siting in a chair in deep thought. Still no sight of Congress but at least Obama says he will consult with Congress after their vacation and will postpone bombing Syria for days, weeks or maybe months if he wants.

On the flip side Syria is saying 'WTF you said you were going to attack us and we are still waiting.'.

Here is where the brilliance of Obama comes in. He says he is going to do something like lower taxes or end wars and then BAMMM! right in your face sucka he's raising taxes and starting wars.

He will never said that he will make lower taxes. It was Ron Paul, who would like lower taxes and end of wars. Obombe will make rather higher taxes, because wars are expensive. Such one tomahawk missile costs 1 mln dolars.
