Is it a coincidence that since Arthur DeMoulas was fired that the prices at market basket rose by 5%? I feel disrespected by market basket as the packaging has gotten smaller and higher pricing. I recently shopped at hannafords next to Walmart and found good deals on boneless chicken and other items which have risen at market basket. We have all filled both market baskets in the past and what we get in return are smaller packages and higher pricing? I think it is time to explore other markets. Check out other supermarkets locally . These other markets would show good marketing skills especially during market baskets current employee strike.

People who pay high prices for food at Market Basket are idiots. The dumpster at McDonalds is filled daily with all sorts of tasty free treats.

You do not have to boycott them. There is nothing left for food in the stores. The food in the warehouses are rotting. The Market Basket truck driver's are on strike. They are teamsters. There are scabs driving the trucks but the State Police are also supporting the Teamsters and pulling over the trucks and nailing the scabs for even the smallest violations. Obviously any truck on the road can be found with a violation and will have to be towed. Just one tire under inflated can cause that. Obviously the tow trucks and truck service companies will also support the Teamsters so those trucks being towed will not get back on the roads for a long time.

Looks like the Market Basket CEOs will be dealing with the men in black suits and sunglasses (Teamster leaders) within a short time. The Market Basket truck driver's will also get a hefty raise too out of this. Will Arthur get reinstated? No. But it will cost the new CEOs plenty and they will learn a lesson.

It's all fun and games but management always forgets that the truckers have the ultimate power.

On the flip side of the coin and there is always a flip side. The average consumer and Market Basket employee were not aware of the losses. Remember as private company their losses and reason for their losses are never published publicly. There was another side of Arthur T. and his family.

Arthur T. allowed his sons to move to Europe and start an F1 racing team using corporate funds. They lost $400 million in one year as the F1 tem was unsuccessful. They also lost another $600 million in other endeavors or so called "investments" using corporate money.

So stockholders were worried and this type of behavior had to come to stop especially after losing $1 billion dollars of company money. He was recklessly spending money that was not authorized by the majority of stockholders. Arthur T. did not own 100% of the company so his era came to an end.

If you weren't poor you'd have a car. Why don't you take your liberal, EBT lazy butt outside of your mom's basement and get a job. I heard Market Basket is hiring. And since you live in either the North St. or Patch area of Fitchburg it's a short walk over one of the bridges.
