Let's all hope that further investigations do not uncover more corruption in the department that involves them.

It would be nice to see the department start turning around, but the number of people involved will probably never be fully determined and short of firing them all and starting over, it's shell game.

Either way, Good Luck Mayor and Chief, keep on house cleaning, it's unfortunate that so much time has to be spent on this away from other important issues, but this had become such a crisis for the city, it needed to be addressed. Thank You for finally addressing it

Anon, either you are a cop or you smoke a lot of pot! Maybe we should allow every cop the entitlement to two get out of jail free cards!
Smell the coffee dude, get a clue! Do you even live in Fitchburg?? This town suffers every day that this department is allowed to continue their inept services to it's citizens!!

What rock have you been living under? I am not a cop, do not smoke pot and I live in Fitchburg...I also believe in having the punishment fit the crime...and his crime does not fit the punishment...if what he did has been the SOP, then blame the SOP and change that...you are the Neanderthal, DUDE !!!

We need Sarrasin to answer questions ans this clerk who maintains the financial records at the station! From what the FPD website explains, there is a clerk whom takes care of the books! She/he knows everything!

These guys all seem related in some way! We need a federal audit, it goes much deeper than the police as I believe it involves city employees also! We want answers; all this money missing and an inept job being done!

I have to wonder what Mark Louney and Kerry C. Siomos, Jr. have in common with address 96 ? You tried to hit me with your car today as my back was turned! You seem to be an angry person!

Here are some headlines to ponder!

A former Detroit police officer and a city tax assessor have been charged in a $2.1-million mortgage fraud scheme.

New York authorities claimed as part of the Jamestown case that Kartesz and Saracki inflated the home prices on individual property deeds, then sold the higher-valued mortgages to private investors

A Tarrant County grand jury issued indictments against five people, including an Arlington-based home builder, in an alleged mortgage fraud involving loans worth $13 million, a case prosecutors say is the first of several more of its kind to come.

Bill Postmus exploited his office as San Bernardino County assessor to enrich himself, his friends and political allies and to create a political operation at taxpayer expense, according to a report released Tuesday by the county Board of Supervisors

Something no one has commented on. All the demoted people and the one fired have had many blog comments with one exception. The woman demoted seems to never be commented about yet she wasn't promoted back to her rank. Do I detect some discrimination against a female here? Granted the mayor is female but the chief isn't. The only female ranking officer on the department (unless I missed one) is no more. By the way I am a male so I have no predjudice here nor am I associated with Fitchburg or it's department. Just an interested observer.

Being a female and having had to deal with this woman in the past, I would say she should go.

Your exactly right Kevin and this needs to be looked into. It is extremely unethical for someone use their position to look into a matter or try and influence a matter for a family member, friend, co worker or anyone. Any officer, elected official, or public employee who uses their position or their office for this should be removed immediately.

Lincoln st; if you are a cop you need to get in touch with officer Lemay and Garcia. Lemays'$275,000 home is accessed in 2010 for $65,000. Unless it burnt down there is a problem here.

The Garcia bros and the bergeron family are the slickest of the bunch. Garcia is protected under an LLC; they purchased a $200,000 builging for $545,000 off Bergeron in a recession. All their personal properties are protected under trust. If there shoe shine business goes under and they default on their loan, they will be protected.

Lincoln you need to get with these guys; all their relatives are recieving great realestate deals!

Cops are so unaffected by the economy. Criminology is an extremely easy field! There are many college graduates that are out of work! They have been milking the system for years and at the same time they allowed Fitchburg to crash and burn! If they did any criminology work then maybe we would feel bad for them!

Yes, I think that we all agree that many people throughout Mass and the US have continued their education; up to and including getting Master Degrees; only to find themselves demoted or out of work all together.

Somehow, in a cops mind, he should be guaranteed a job forever. And, he should never be demoted after he obtains a degree. But, it is perfectly OK for other educated people (besides cops) to loose their jobs and to be demoted. Why do the cops routinely feel that their jobs, their positions and their pay should never get negatively affected; even though the nation has basically been in a depression for the past two years? Once again, the cops feel that they are entitled to special treatment.

It makes me wonder; do they REALLY believe that they are entitled to everything that they get away with. Or, are they simply hoping that the Taxpayers are stupid enough to buy off on their warped reasoning?

As far as cops losing jobs in a recession, it is a time cops are needed most.

LOSE not "loose."

"The cops" this... "The cops" that.." Did he not have ANY qualities that attracted you to him? OR what WAS your trangression against society? You'll NEVER fool me. You're STILL either a scorned lover,(NOT necessarily heterosexual, of course!) OR just another narcissistic sociopathic con. Just a concerned citizen? Yeah, right... Out to enlighten all of us with your infinite wisdom? Just a few facts spun with plain old bullshite.

How'd you do on that test? Off the chart? PLEASE take it and let me know how you did!!! After this post I'll find it again for you. Until then, see if your photo and info is on this site,(oh, I know, I'm certainly grasping now, but what the heck, someone as peed off as you at law enforcement certainly must have an "axe to grind," (Not to avoid a cliche).
