Fitchburg serious about business
The Fitchburg City Council has taken a prudent step in approving Councilor-at-Large Dean Tran's proposal to create a position in city government to boost economic development.

The economy is showing some signs of recovery and my worst fears are becoming a reality.
Fitchburg is not prepared for a good economy. We need to position Fitchburg as pro-business. We need to get serious. We need to lower the cost of doing business in Fitchburg.
Leominster has just taken up the topic of slot machines. There are pro and cons YES but they at least put it on the table for discussion.
We need energetic and others to take a stand here in Fitchburg.
Fitchburg doesn't need to create a position concerning these matters. We need to encourage participation from all. Welcome all to the table not just the dam good ole boys who have already proven to be roadblocks towards a better and safer Fitchburg.
Yes, I take bold stances and I have been attacked. We need more Kevin Lynch's to stand up to this network.
Jody Joseph seems like he is unbiased, Marcus Dinatale seems like he is not easily influenced. We need to pull up our sleeves and get to work.
We don't need anymore ass kissers, we need progressives. We don't need an outside board to tell us about Main street and John Fitz Highway.
For too long this city has listened to people who have zero common sense or whom have an agenda.
Our councilors all have to be focused on working for the people of Fitchburg. What are there interests??? This city belongs to all 40,000 people who live here.
It should never matter who you know, how long you have lived here or what your nationality/ethnicity is or if you are straight or gay.
We need to hold people accountable as this is the way to build a community and its trust!
We need to encourage citizens to vote!!! We need to make sure that there are questions on the ballot. This city council dropped the ball!!
We had two special election dates in Fitchburg and absolutely ZERO questions placed on the ballot. Why is there this lack of interests?
Attend ward meetings and demand results ; don't allow these councilors to just shrug it off. Demand for the Chief to hold neighborhood meetings.
What is going on here? There is such a lack of interest in Fitchburg it is insane! Everyone is comfortable with receiving state and federal funding.
I watch these council meetings and it is insane. There is no one who knows anything about drugs and the issues we face here in Fitchburg.

Well, Lynch, you seem pretty comfortable with receiving state and federal funding through your cuckoo check.
And, by the way, where is the John Fitz Highway? Is it new? And as for needing more "Kevin Lynch's" I'm guessing that the Boston Public Schools never taught you the proper use of the apostrophe.
Fitchburg has many challenges. And, of course, they are all the fault of the good old boys, according to you. And the Blue Light.
You'll get 96 votes. If you're lucky.

why don't you really make a difference and check out all the illegal activity at the bar in the upper common
all the city elected people and the good ol boy net work hang out there
they park everywhere if you live here you cant get a parking place
see how many of them drive drunk all the time
it is disgusting and no one ever does anything

Give me a night cap

If this is happening then it should be addressed. I know that this is a common hangout for city workers. This isn't illegal. But if they are staying open till 4 am then the connection would clearly be an ethics situation.
Honestly, I haven't seen any of this as when I go by this bar there doesn't seem to be any loud music outside and I never noticed a parking problem.
If I am missing it and it is true then you need to address it with the city and other organizations. I am being honest, I never see any violations from this bar as it seems rather quiet.
I am not calling you a liar but I haven't seen any issues coming from this bar. If there is drinking and driving issues then there is a problem. All bars must be able to critique policies and/or anything they can within there power to stop drunk driving.
Plus, I thought all residential buildings in that area had there own parking lots? Now when the Mayors, student overlay exemptions concerning parking begin to be realized then you may have parking issues.
Just the fact that city workers drink at this bar is not an issue. However if there are obvious laws being broken, a blind eye to these issues and an obvious allowance then there is a problem.
I just do not see anything along these lines so I cannot comment nor address them. I am not calling you a liar but I have been by this bar at 1:00am on Friday and Saturdays and I haven't seen any issues. I am just being honest from what I see. There could be violations going on but I never see them. I know there are city employees that go to this bar but that is there right.
If there are people in marked city vehicles at the bar and then driving afterwards there is an issue. If there is a constant allowance of illegal behavior then there is an issue. I just do not see it myself.
I would suggest that if you see such violations that you go talk to the Mayor but I will tell you, do not believe what she says to you and do not expect much from her. She told me that the city had issues with a certain bar that I was complaining about, she told me to obtain more pictures from multiple dates and then go to the license commission. Then when it hit the fan she turned her back and actually attempted to have me thrown in prison.

go ahead and complain big deal nothing will happen
#12 Jul 16, 2013
You can't comment on anything without inserting your own dysfunctional life into it and blaming others for your troubles.
The mayor did not "attempt to have you thrown in prison." You foolishly got yourself into an altercation, were arrested, spent the weekend in clink and wound up on probation. All of this involved the police and the court. Only. To repeatedly suggest, as you have done, that the mayor somehow orchestrated all of this and directed people do her bidding is perhaps the most outrageous of the many lies that you have told.

I spoke to her in person with Dave over these issues. She encouraged us to take more pictures from multiple dates and then to go to the license board.
I filed a complaint with her, I wrote her a letter to follow up and YES, This letter addressed to her was then used to file unjust charges against me; my attorney was able to have these unjust charges dismissed before arraignment. Such charges would of automatically imprisoned me. So, YES, the Mayor had something to do with the unjust charges that were filed against me. And if she didn't then she should file against the person who went forward with these unjust actions without her acknowledgement as the letter was addressed to her!
So, either she was behind it and it was unethical or they duped her which is unethical on their part. But I doubt that they did it without her knowledge as the letter was addressed to her.

shut your face trouble maker you stay away from my bar
#16 Jul 17, 2013
Who are you? Which bar are you talking about? And who are you talking to? Punk !
Go ahead make my day Punk! Tell me which bar so I can keep an eye on it.

They should legalize drugs. All the empty store fronts can then open. "Heroin Heaven" or "Heavenly Heroin". "The crack shack", or "Cacaine cavern", "The white line". "pot palace", "Marijuana cave".
#18 Jul 19, 2013
"The Marijuana hut". I can see t now, bistro tables on Main street, three University students siting around a party bong with their straws all entering a smoke filled bowl of Heavenly Hawaiian hash.
We would finally get those "extra patrols on Main street that the Mayor funded as local gang members will be attempting to join the girls with their ghetto pipes and mid grade.

Dear Mr. Dinatale,
I don' now if you like or hate me whichever the case I believe that you work hard concerning your position as city councilor at large. I believe that you care about Fitchburg and its citizens. I do not agree with your positions 100% of the time but more than the other councilors I agree with your positions..
I understand that you are very fiscal conservative and I applaud this fact. What I feel though is that we all need to take a stand for the interests of the Fitchburg people. It is due time for a tax break for at the least our seniors and a break on their water and sewer increases. I feel that we all owe our seniors at least this much respect as many are living on fixed incomes and the city put the squeeze on their quality of life through these tax and service rate increases, they need a break.
Forgive me for the following constructive criticism of our local government as I ask you to have an open mind as you read my proposals.
I have been taking some heat for my suggestions concerning funding my proposals for tax breaks for the citizens of Fitchburg. I am frustrated. Let me begin by stating the city of Fitchburg belongs to the citizens of Fitchburg. Every citizen is paying more concerning trash removal as I strongly feel that we all were under represented concerning the new Waste management contract with the city of Fitchburg. We all have taken some serious increases concerning water and sewer which everyone pays for whether you own or rent via your rent payment.
What has been done in the interests of the citizens of Fitchburg? We all need to vote and to take a stand and demand that our needs get addressed and not continue to get filed or swept under the rug for a later date to deal with.
To be honest. What has every Fitchburg citizen received from the city? We all received less services, more guns, gangs, drugs and heavier fees and taxes!
When does it stop? Seriously? When do we really represent the people of Fitchburg's' interests? Trash fees are higher.
Every citizen in Fitchburg has paid the price both financially and with an unsafe neighborhood.
I would walk around Fitchburg sometimes at 2-3:00am when I couldn't sleep or just needed to get out. I wouldn't walk around Fitchburg as it gets dark now. It is very dangerous now and it isn't a joke.
Every citizen is paying double now and receiving much less!!!! This is a FACT! It would be easier to swallow if the streets were safe but they are much worse and extremely dangerous if not deadly!
All jokes aside, forget about hating me for a moment. This is a problem!
And what has the city done for our elder citizens? NOTHING! And it is getting old to continue to watch this without saying something!!
Every politician wants the elderly's vote but what have they done for these elders? NOTHING! It is time that our representatives did something for our elders, PERIOD! Make it happen!
We have a full time attorney, order him to uncover all the facts and all the players concerning all these projects that took place in Fitchburg and Leominster and YES file suit against them and their insurance companies! These guys carry massive insurance policies for this such reason. There is liability here and it isn't the Fitchburg citizen!!!!!
The citizens pay this attorneys salary as well as the Mayors and all our reps. The citizens of Fitchburg got the shaft and that you cannot argue against! I am just one out of 40,000 plus!
Respectfully, Kevin Lynch

The "hating me" part would raise some red flags! I guess you assume that he knows who you are? I guess you assume that he hates you?
Hate is a very strong word and is never used unless you are planning to do harm to that individual.

Perhaps your post to Councilor DiNatale (Who, I'm sure, doesn't need any lecturing from you) should have included this little passage revealing how you feel about Italo-Amaricans.
Lynch for Mayor wrote:
Ready guido? Put down the spaghetti fork
and wipe the garlic from your perverted mouth!
Pull up your sweatpants guido, comprende? Is
sammy the bull or Gotti your hero?
