FITCHBURG -- A Leominster woman allegedly attempted to escape from a hospital after she was arrested on prostitution and drug charges, according to court documents.

Victoria L. Devlin, 30, of 38 Legate Hill Road, Apt. 1, Leominster, is charged with possession of a Class B drug, being a common streetwalker and attempted escape from a penal institution or court.

According to a police report included with court documents, Devlin was arrested Friday on three warrants after she was reportedly flagging down cars at the intersection of Blossom and Pearl streets for the purpose of prostitution. She was allegedly found in possession of crack and a crack pipe.

"Ms. Devlin was disheveled, her hair a mess, the legs to her pants were all wet, and she had numerous sores all over her face and arms," Officer Tabitha Pepple wrote in a report.

Devlin was brought to HealthAlliance Hospital in Leominster after claiming health problems, the report states, and while there, allegedly slipped out of her handcuffs and attempted to escape, but was quickly apprehended.

Devlin was released on personal recognizance and is due back in court Nov. 19.

Sex offender faces lewdness charge

LUNENBURG -- A known Level 3 sex offender is facing a lewdness charge after a neighbor saw him allegedly walking around pants-less one morning around the time school buses were operating, according to court documents.

Gabriel J. Pelletier Sr., 44, of 38 Lesure Ave., is charged with open and gross lewdness.

According to a police report included with court documents, a 53-year-old Whalom Road woman was out walking her dog the morning of Aug. 28 when she saw Pelletier standing at the end of his driveway, allegedly naked from the waist down. She told police she was "shocked and alarmed" at seeing his bare buttocks, and that it has been an ongoing problem.

Officer Sean Zrate noted in a report that Pelletier has prior child rape convictions and the incident occurred around 7 a.m. as children were waiting for the school bus.

Pelletier was released on personal recognizance and is due back in court Nov. 12
