People drive crazy around here. Especially around the schools. The police have to be around all schools. Crossing guards…? Have anyone seen any of those any longer? People just do not care for anyone any longer. People are just selfish and self absorbed. SLOW down…get OFF your cell phones…and be courteous.

Victim was kneeling, the driver gabbing on her cell phone. Classic example of stupid on both sides! As for crossing guards, we have cops that can be crossing guards. Keeps their fat asses out of the doughnut shops and the tax payers don't have to foot the extra salaries of a bunch of un-trained senile crossing guards that can't even see the sides of the street when they are in the middle of it to "protect" the children.

I bet at least one of them was on their cell phone. Not sure a crossing guard would have helped in this situation since it was on school property..but I have to add that the crossing guard in my neighborhood is so old that she looks like she is unable to do her job. She sits in her car on cool days. She looks like she is freezing to death. By the time she makes her way out of the car a child would already have time to dart out in front of a car. I don't know why she is allowed to work since she obviously isn't phsically able or seemingly alert enough to do the job.

I was there. There was a stray dog in the parking lot of the school and guy was trying to hang onto the dog and two woman came over to help. All three of them were kneeling around the dog when the woman driving her child to school, came into the parking lot and looked to me as tho she miss-judged how close she was to the 3 people with the dog. She didn't run her down, she banged into her and knocked the woman to the ground on her bottom from the kneeling position. I'm just glad no one was seriously hurt. Not for nothing, but have you ever been up at Memorial during that time, you not only have to watch out for the kids running around, but the cars, the busses and in this case, a stray dog.
