Oh look, Ryan found time to explain how they plan to pay for all those tax breaks...
Turns out it's easy math!
"Today, he gave it another shot.
Ryan, interviewed in Iowa, said that the plan will go after tax deductions and said clearly that individuals making $150,000 per year will see a net tax cut.[...]
To accomplish this feat, Romney backs going after tax breaks "primarily" for upper-income individuals, Ryan said. "You can lower tax rates across the board by 20 percent, primarily limit your deductions from those at the top end, and then get rid of all those nook and cranny special-interest tax expenditures ... and you can do this without raising taxes on middle-class taxpayers. This actually lowers their taxes," he said.
I realize Ryan thinks this is supposed to be helpful and persuasive. It's not. So long as he refuses to specific which "nook and cranny special-interest tax expenditures" he intends to eliminate, this is still just hot air.
Worse, it's inaccurate hot air. Catherine Rampell reports today that, in 2015, the Romney-Ryan tax breaks would cost $251 billion per year for households with income above $200,000. Can that be financed through closing loopholes and eliminating deductions? No, it cannot -- the total number of available tax expenditures is $165 billion. Even if we assume the political will existed to eliminate all of them -- there's not, but just for the sake of conversation -- that would still leave a gap of $86 billion a year.
That would mean Romney/Ryan would be left with a choice: curtailing their tax cutting ambitions (which they've said they will not do) or raising taxes on the middle class (which they've also said they will not do).
As Kevin Drum summarized, Ryan is asking you to believe -$251 +$165 + 0 = 0.
Forget ideology, party, and philosophy, and just look at the arithmetic. If you think Paul Ryan is telling you the truth, you need a better calculator."

Kind of like the same specifics within Obamacare that everyone was given before our Democrat politicians shoved it down the throats of the American people.
It was a telling thing when Pelosi said "we will know whats in it after we pass it and it becomes law". Great governance!!
#26 Oct 3, 2012
Good point facts. Unfortunately it's just common knoledge that certain people just believe anything Obama says. I'm still waiting for him to keep one of the promises he made before he was elected.
#27 Oct 3, 2012
Good Luck with that!! I'm sure it will make the news and maybe even earn him another Nobel peace prize...after all, Obama is the darling of the mass media and others out in the world.
Before long, Obama will have a UN flag flying in place of our American flag.

It was only discussed for more than a year, just because you stick your fingers in your ears and go la la la la la doesn't mean nobody else understands what is in it!

"Obamacare Summed Up in One Sentence"
From a video posted on YouTube that shows Dr. Barbara Bellar speaking at a Women for Romney/Ryan rally last month:
"So let me get this straight. This is a long sentence.
We are going to be gifted with a health care plan that we are forced to purchase, and fined if we don't, which reportedly covers 10 million more people without adding a single new doctor, but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents, written by a committee whose chairman doesn't understand it, passed by Congress, that didn't read it, but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a president who smokes, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, for which we will be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect, by a government which has bankrupted Social Security and Medicare, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese and financed by a country that is broke.
So what the blank could possibly go wrong?"

ONE hard core righty rant is supposed to be proof of something about the HCA!
What a joke you are Factless, liar and a joke
#31 Oct 3, 2012
BTW extremists right wing ideolog
You very own Mother will still be covered by Medicare, without it, she'd be left to the open market because she would have been dumped by her insurer right after going through the Cancer treatment!
Obamacare as you like to call it, guarantees she could not be dumped after or declined coverage by another because she had pre-existing Cancer, god you're stupid!!!!!
#32 Oct 3, 2012
I noticed you didn't contradict the "right wing rant" with any proof, you just keep spouting your nonsense. I already told you asshole that Mom has coverage beyond Medicare and its a good thing because she would have to eat a very high percentage of it if the hospital doesn't keep her at leat 3 days...
Read the healthcare act and get back to me when you can prove your bullshit.
#33 Oct 3, 2012
The BS piece is full of right wing nutjob lies dummy, there are no 1600 IRS agents or any other scary things in it. Soooooo a lying rant deserves no response.

Last nights debate was just a taste of the beating that Obama will have to endure for his failed policies and the damage he has done to our country.
All he had to say today was, "that wasn't Mitt Romney" in the debate. Well I beg to differ Mr. President...it was Mitt Romney and you have more in store for you.
I especially found it amusing when Obama stated there are tax loopholes that allow a company to move workers overseas. Mitt Romney stated clearly that there is no such thing, which just highlites Obama's ignorance for helping business put Americans back to work.

Now Romney is claiming he was "wrong" when he made his 47% comment. I suppose you'll now say you were wrong for backing his statement, right Facts?
#36 Oct 5, 2012
If he is saying he was wrong by not being "Politically Correct", or because he spoke the truth, that is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than being wrong.
If the percentage is off by a few points, it doesn't change the truth in the message. Romney spoke the truth and people don't want the truth, they want some magic fix that isn't going to happen.
Obama and the mass media keeps feeding people bullshit about how to fix things, and it is only bullshit.
There are truths about our economics that we will have to face now or leave it to our future generations later, but they will have to be fixed.

Prior to Wednesday night's debate, traders at Intrade were giving Obama a 74% chance at reelection. Romney's chances to become leader of the free world were just 26%. Following the debate, though, those numbers changed to 66% versus 34% in favor of Obama.

This is the reality of our current situation...
#39 Oct 8, 2012
"My expectation is that if you want to be president, you have to work for everyone, not just for some," Obama said.
If this is true, Obama should stop working for only the Unions... They have benefit the most from his administration. The rest of us? Not so much.

The Moron NOT all the FACTS is at it again!
25 % of Corporations pay ZERO tax (Including GE which we taxpayers bailed out under Blithering Idiot BUSH's TARP) because of tax Loopholes.
The biggest Loophole is when Corporations move offshore- then they pay ZERO tax when offshore. They only have to pay taxes when they re-locate back to US. How may Corporations have relocated back?? NONE!
Even Halliburton (Cheney- can't shoot straight former CEO) re-located to an ARAB country to avoid taxes! The Right wing teabaggers want to pass a law that would FORGIVE taxes due if they return to US!! Heaven help us if they gain control of Senate!
What an AZZZZ you are!! Get your head out of Romney's AZZZ!

Why Mitt Romney is Unlikable!
A lot is being said in the media about Mitt Romney not being "likable" or that he doesn't "relate well" to people. Frankly, we struggled to understand why. So after much research, we have come up with a Top Ten List to explain this "unlikablility." Top Ten Reasons To Dislike Mitt Romney: 1. Drop-dead, collar-ad handsome with gracious, statesmanlike aura. Looks like every central casting's #1 choice for Commander-in-Chief. 2. Been married to ONE woman his entire life, and has been faithful to her, including through her bouts with breast cancer and MS. 3. No scandals or skeletons in his closet.(How boring is that?) 4. Can't speak in a fake, southern, "black preacher voice" when necessary. 5. Highly intelligent. Graduated cum laude from both Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School..and by the way, his academic records are NOT sealed. 6. Doesn't smoke or drink alcohol, and has never done drugs, not even in the counter-culture age when he went to college. Too square for today's America?
7. Represents an America of "yesterday", where people believed in God, went to Church, didn't screw around, worked hard, and became a SUCCESS! 8. Has a family of five great sons....and none of them have police records or are in drug rehab. But of course, they were raised by a stay-at-home mom, and that "choice" deserves America's scorn. 9. Oh yes.....he's a MORMON. We need to be very afraid of that very strange religion that teaches its members to be clean-living, patriotic, fiscally conservative, charitable, self-reliant, and honest. 10. And one more point.....pundits say because of his wealth, he can't relate to ordinary Americans. I guess that's because he made that money HIMSELF.....as opposed to marrying it or inheriting it from Dad. Apparently, he didn't understand that actually working at a job and earning your own money made you unrelatable to Americans. My goodness, it's a strange world, isn't it?

Mitt Romney's background, experience and trustworthiness show him to be a great leader and an excellent citizen for President of the United States.
You may think that Romney may not be the best representative the Republicans could have selected. At least I know what religion he is, and that he won't desecrate the flag, bow down to foreign powers, or practice fiscal irresponsibility. I know he has the ability to turn this financial debacle that the current regime has gotten us into. We won't like all the things necessary to recover from this debt, but someone with Romney's background can do it. But, on the minus side, he never was a "Community Organizer", never took drugs or smoked pot, never got drunk, did not associate with communists or terrorists, nor did he attend a church whose pastor called for God to damn the U.S. IF THIS ISN'T WORTH SENDING TO EVERYONE THEN I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS !

It is incredible that Obama could even be compared to Romney, but we have so many people in our country looking for handouts, they wouldn't think of hiring Romney.
