Obama vetted her and they realized she was a liability with this Indian claim so they didn't let her run the consumer protection organization. Now she's getting pressured from within her party by another Democrat challenger. Maybe she should take the hint that she's not wanted even by her own people.

Charkes Fried, hired Elizabeth Warren and laughs at the claim, acknowledging he voted for Scott Brown!
Warren on the issue...

"When I was a little girl, I learned about my family's heritage the same way everyone else does -- from my parents and grandparents.
My mother, grandmother, and aunts were open about my family's Native American heritage, and I never had any reason to doubt them. What kid asks their grandparents for legal documentation to go along with their family stories? What kid asks their mother for proof in how she describes herself?

My heritage is a part of who I am -- and I am proud of it.

But that's not good enough for Scott Brown and the Republican Party. For several weeks now, they have orchestrated an attack against my family, my job qualifications, and my character. Earlier today, Scott Brown even questioned the honesty of my parents -- even though they are not fair game and are not here to defend themselves.

Scott Brown wants me to give up my family and forget where I came from. I'm not doing that -- not for politics and not for anything else. I'll hold on to every memory I can. My family is part of who I am, and they will be part of who I am until I die.

Despite evidence to the contrary, Scott Brown also claims I got special breaks because of my background. That's not true, and I need your help to fight back:

The people involved in recruiting and hiring me for my teaching jobs, including Harvard professor Charles Fried -- the solicitor-general under Ronald Reagan and a Scott Brown voter in 2010 -- have said unequivocally they were not aware of my heritage and that it played no role in my hiring.

I did not benefit from my heritage when applying to college or law school, and documents reporters have examined prove it.

I let people know about my Native American heritage in a national directory of law school personnel. At some point after they hired me, I also provided that information to the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard"

Fried on the issue...

BOSTON — A Harvard Law School professor and former Reagan administration official is calling "false" and "complete nonsense" any suggestion that Elizabeth Warren enjoyed an affirmative action advantage in her hiring as a full professor.

Harvard Law School professor Charles Fried told WGBH that the Democratic Senate candidate was recruited to be a tenured professor because she was preeminent in the fields of bankruptcy and commercial law, saying, "The suggestion that Elizabeth Warren was an affirmative action hire or that somehow minority status played any role in her hiring, displays a profound ignorance both of the hiring process at a major law school and also of her particular qualifications.”

Fried was a member of the appointments committee that reviewed Warren. He said the subject of her Native American ancestry never came up.

“She was hired because she is a superstar in her field. She’s at the very top of her profession as a scholar. She was one of the two or three best in the country," he said. Glowing student evaluations have continued to show her abilities in the classroom, he added.

He said that calls for Harvard to conduct a review of Warren’s hiring, as suggested by State Republican Party chairman Bob Maginn, were wrong-headed. Maginn did not return our emails.

Her heritage is NOT the issue. The issue is that she "LIED" when confronted about it. That is the "REAL" issue! You can spin and spin and spin but you can't hide the fact that she's a proven Lying Hypocrite.

"It’s turning out that she’s not quite the working-class heroine her worshipers in the limousine-liberal crowd thought she was.
Last week, news broke that Harvard Law had cited Warren as a minority hire — a Native American — when it was under criticism for lack of faculty diversity in 1996. Asked Friday for proof of her Indian ancestry, Warren’s said it’s part of her family “lore.”
She also said she couldn’t “recall” if she’d ever claimed minority status when applying for a job and that she’d never known of Harvard’s 1996 boast until Friday. When Brown’s campaign demanded that Warren apologize for taking part in a “diversity sham,” she said her campaign is searching for “evidence” of her Native American lineage.
When the campaign began, The Boston Globe saluted Warren for her “rise from poverty” as a child in Oklahoma City. Since then, as the truth has trickled out, the narrative has evolved. Goodbye poverty, hello to “the jagged edge of the middle class.”
We’ve learned that, by 1965, Elizabeth’s family had three cars, including a white MG that the hard-scrabble Native American drove daily to her tony high school. Still, the Globe insisted, the MG was “beat up.”
Last Friday, she released four years of tax returns. Over those four years, Warren and her husband, another Harvard Law prof, averaged $300,000 more than Sen. Brown and his spouse, a TV anchor. In 2009, the Warrens made $981,000 vs. the Browns’$249,000.
Even the Globe had to admit that Warren was “in the top 1 percent of earners”— ironic, considering her bragging that she provided the “intellectual foundations” of Occupy Wall Street.
As recently as January, Warren was still crying poor, saying on MSNBC:“I realize there are some wealthy individuals — I’m not one of them — but some wealthy individuals who have a lot of stock portfolios.”
No, she has mutual-fund portfolios. Her financial disclosures put her worth between $4.6 and $14.5 million.
Well, being middle class is “not about a number,” she told one reporter.“It’s about a place in your heart.”
Another recent embarrassment: The Massachusetts state-income-tax form includes a voluntary check-off for any concerned citizens who wish to pay the old, higher tax rate of 5.85 percent rather than today’s 5.3 percent.
Warren, who sternly lectures every audience on the need for higher taxes on the wealthy, is a multimillionaire — so she must have paid at the higher rate, right? First, she refused to answer, then she issued a press release denouncing Brown’s Senate votes.
Finally, she admitted that no, she hadn’t made what she described as a “charitable contribution” to the commonwealth.
Despite her missteps, Warren has raised vast amounts of cash —$6.9 million in the first quarter alone. Wall Street is lavishing millions more on her than on Brown, even though she regularly brands her GOP opponent as a rubber-stamp for the robber barons.
Asked how she could be raising so much more money on Wall Street than a capitalist running-dog like Brown, Warren answered with a straight face that her money is coming from bankers who “want reform.”
Whatever else, Warren’s stumbles have provided great comic relief for the working people of Massachusetts whom she claims to love so dearly. They don’t much like Harvard; as a well-known old joke has it: You can always tell a Harvard man, but you can’t tell him much.
Now Warren is providing new fodder. Democrats always say they need to raise taxes “for the children.” Warren, as one cynic on a Boston message board yesterday noted, demands higher taxes “for the papooses.”

The American Political System is Corrupted by Money. We have the best bought Politicians in the World.

Solution-reverse the Supreme court decision allowing SuperPACs and take the money out of Politics! Allow a maximum of $100 campaign contribution per Individual and Corporation0 that way all the Lobbyists will have to leave DC and your vote might count for something!

Why Dodd-Frank should finally be enacted in full with no Republican obstruction.

That is, IF you wanted things to get better which we know the GOP do not actually want!!

"There was no testimony and no trial. Citigroup admitted wrongdoing on Feb. 15 and paid the $158.3 million to settle. In a press release the same day, Citi said it was pleased to resolve the matter.

“We take our quality-assurance processes seriously and have proactively undertaken process improvements to ensure that they are as robust as possible,” the bank wrote. The statement didn’t mention Hunt.

Bank of America
Citigroup isn’t the only bank that’s been held accountable for processing bad mortgages. In February, Charlotte, North Carolina-based Bank of America Corp. settled a false-claims case with the government for $1 billion, without admitting wrongdoing.

In May, Frankfurt-based Deutsche Bank AG agreed to pay $202.3 million for endorsing unqualified mortgages for FHA insurance, and admitted wrongdoing.

What continues to set Citigroup apart is that the bank approved flawed loans well past the 2008 financial crisis. A battleground over loan quality persisted at CitiMortgage even as the settlement was signed in February, the complaint says.

Just months after Citigroup settled with the Justice Department, another big financial institution, JPMorgan Chase & Co., announced a multibillion-dollar trading loss -- helping to rekindle the debate over regulation of so-called too-big-to-fail banks.

Dodd-Frank Debate
President Barack Obama invoked the JPMorgan loss as more evidence of the need for tighter regulation of Wall Street. Mitt Romney, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, has meanwhile continued to call for the repeal of Dodd-Frank, the law Sherry Hunt followed when she blew the whistle on her employer.

If Citigroup has learned anything from Sherry Hunt, it’s not clear from the comments of CitiMortgage CEO Sanjiv Das, who’s based in New York. He says his division does terrific work.

“We are focused on making sure we manufacture loans the right way,” he says.“This is a complex industry. It’s a complex process. It takes time. We’re heading down a trajectory that I’m incredibly proud of. Is there something that is systemically wrong? Absolutely not. Absolutely not.”

Citigroup CEO Vikram S. Pandit declined to comment for this story. In a video recorded in 2010 and posted by Citi on the Internet, Pandit pledged that his bank was turning over a new leaf."

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-05-31/woma ...

Because they will not stop unless they are regulated to and no measly 100M fines are going to even bother them along the way!!!!!!!

"Mr. Brown, a freshman who harnessed populist Tea Party anger to win the seat once held by Edward M. Kennedy, has taken more money from the financial industry than almost any other senator: all told, more than $1 million during the last two years, according to data from the Center for Responsive Politics.

Of the 20 companies that accounted for the most campaign donations to Mr. Brown, about half were prominent investment or securities firms like Morgan Stanley, Fidelity Investments and Bain Capital. His donors include such blue-chip names as Gary Cohn, the president of Goldman Sachs, and the hedge fund kings John Paulson and Kenneth Griffin.

Mr. Brown, in turn, has been an important ally at critical moments, using his swing vote in the Senate to wring significant concessions out of Democrats on last year’s financial regulation bill, including helping strip out a proposed $19 billion bank tax and weakening a proposal to stop commercial banks from holding large interests in hedge funds and private equity funds."
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/11/19/us/politics...

IF you wanted to hold Wall Street accountable and don't trust that they will police themselves, Warren is your clear choice. A vote for Brown is a vote for Wall Street.
