Fitchburg city councilors, hopefuls rip union's billboard

Oct 23, 2013 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: Sentinel & Enterprise

While most City Council incumbents and candidates agree more police officers are needed in the city, many disagree with the union's way of getting its message out.

I applaud the Sentinel for being proactive concerning this situation. This is democracy at its best.

Such conversations are out there and must be had in order to work towards addressing the city needs.

If elected I will be spirited as well as very open minded when discussing and debating the issues concerning the city.

Now hopefully our citizens will stand up in force and vote in high numbers. We have the will and we can fix any issue that is put in front of us; lets get rid of that rubber stamp and begin to negotiate in a realistic way.

As everyone knows I have been extremely disappointed with the Sentinels lack of attention to the issues. This article shines and builds and strengthens our democracy in many ways.

If such energy continues and is maintained then we will make Fitchburg a better and safer place to live.

The Sentinel? They are a private organization, they donít run the city. You need to stop reading the Sentinel.

No one even buys the Sentinel anyways. Are you okay?

Problem with the new meds today?

And what issues are these, Lynch? The Sentinel's failure to talk about the Blue Light? About printing your crazy, slanderous and completely unfounded comments about the police, the mayor and the FSU president? That they had the courage to print the truth about your violent episode on North Street, the one where you made an unprovoked and vicious attack on a cop and a firefighter? That they followed up and again printed the truth about your getting sentenced to 2 1/2 years of probation? Or maybe it can best be captured in your own words:

Lynch wrote:
"The sentinel has slanted the truth! The word "gets" is purposefully misdirecting! Their is no "probation officer", pre-trial probation is a term not a sentence as their was NO plea change, no admission whatsoever. The Sentinel has purposefully misguided the public as they have done all along!!! I cannot make comments in reference to facts or names but I can comment on anything else. I am not in fear of getting into trouble because "I DO NOT GET INTO TROUBLE". The Sentinel is full of shit as usual! No one has the guts to tell them so but I will! I call it as it is unlike the Sentinel. The Sentinel is on the verge of being reported for their biased protectionism of local government! This fact seriously hampers checks and balances concerning Democracy! The Sentinel can go FUCK THEMSELVES! Hopefully they bring a libel against me which they will not because I have plenty of evidence against the Sentinel as that PUKE editor was told as much in writing!!! In ending, FUCK YOU SENTINEL! Your paper is horrid, slanted and is beginning to be realized by the citizens of Fitchburg. Your paper is nothing more than a BS bulletin!"

Of course you have issues with them, you bozo. You have issues because they won't print your crazy, incoherent, unfounded and libelous diatribes and they have reported the truth about your violent, anti-social past.

I was listening to Public Radio a couple of days ago and they were discussing unions; specifically Police Unions. They made the point that these unions are no longer there to look out for the well being of our lawmen; they are there to demand more and more.

As I have said a few times on this forum: Garcia, cut out the crapolla. Your boys are getting an obscene amount of paid days off per year. Bring it back to reality and you will have the funding you need for your additional officers.

And, the $500,000 per year for overtime is just another scam to fatten the wallets of our lawmen. According to Garcia, there are 72 uniformed officers on the force. If we divide 500,000 by 72, we see that on average each lawman is able to increase his yearly pay by $6744.00. In the private sector, the successful companies are striving to reduce and even eliminate OT. But, over at the police staion, Garcia is striving to keep it going! It's another scam in a long line of police scams....

Overtime is reserved for emergency situations and is used for officers that have specialized training.

If there is a fatal car accident then a reconstruction officer has to be called in and road details will be needed to block the street off are needed.

The fire department will also have to call in a couple of firefighters to utilize the Special operations Unit to assist with the investigation.

Fires, shootings, stabbings and other long term commitments by public safety will require the hiring of extra manpower from the fire, police, dpw and other departments and that is what overtime is used for. This is too keep the incident from tying up the on-duty personnel.

All details are paid by the private organizations.

I did contact SSi and they stated anyone running for a PAID public position no matter how much the salary is in violation of disability laws. That means you are stating that are working and can work.

Talking with other councilors they stated you cannot refuse the pay or the health insurance if elected because that is against the city bylaws. Obviously the other councilors want to be paid and retain the health insurance benefits. That would hurt the council.

So sorry you cannot hold any position or actually run for a position because that technically is working. If you can do that then you work a desk job even if it is a dispatcher.

You are actually given legitimate people on disability a bad image.

Shame on you.

So, let me ask. Were you there when my friend and I were attacked?
If so, why didn't you come forward to tell the truth?

And if you want to lie then let me ask, swear on your entire family that they may die horrible deaths if you lie.....

Ok keep trying, and don't forget to add "most revealing is the fact that he had a fist fight in 1992"

You did notice that once you ask these guys to swear on it being the truth they hide and burrow back in their holes.

Boston Herald
The Boston Herald yesterday obtained confidential criminal offender records for Kevin A. Lynch, 22, of South Boston and Kevin M. Dahl, 20, of Weymouth, who are said to have the most extensive criminal histories among the nine accused of fatally beating and stabbing Andrew McDonough, 23, Saturday.
Both Lynch and Dahl were named by homicide detective Sgt. William Mahoney as participants in the attack on McDonough, who died two hours after he was found in the street with stab wounds and other injuries.Mahoney, testifying at the defendants' arraignment Monday, said witnesses saw Lynch kicking McDonough in the head in the 2 a.m. assault.
