And what, exactly, has Lisa done that garners your unwavering support? Enlighten the group, maybe you'll win her some votes.

Everyone is forgetting the ending of the article: Rosemary Reynolds, aka part of the problem, is trying to get back on the council. Rosenfeld has no chance against Wong, let's be real. Dan Mylott was given six years, and you think voters are going to give Wong only 2? I'm not a big fan of Wong, but I do understand that she's inherited 20 years of gross mismanagement.

What concerns me more is the lack of attention to the council races. So far, you have Dan Mylott and Reynolds going for at-large. God help us if both get in. Can't these old guard politicians who lost past elections just hang it up???

So is Rachel's disability also to blame for the tax taking on file for her in the early 80s?
She moved to Fitchburg in 1990.

So much for your credibility.

So it's just a coincidence that the signature of Patricia A. Collins on the 2004 mortgage that got foreclosed is strikingly similar to that of a Patricia A. Collins on the 1981 deed conveying the property for which there was a tax taking in her name?

Oh. Thanks for the heads up. We do not need another outsider telling us what to do the help this city. How about Sonny? He has lived here all his life. He is the most qualified. Sonny for Mayor!!

From reading her previous Topix posts, I'm convinced Rachel is a troublemaker.

Read her posts and judge for yourself. She begins with a seemingly sensible sensible set of statements, then throws in something controversial thatís sure to make someone angry and stir up trouble. Then there is the inevitable paranoid plea of the typical nut with a persecution complex. She then has the chutzpah to sign off with the Hebrew word for peace.

She's not a peace-lover, she's a muckraker. Watch her lose more and more credibility over the course of her campaign.

<quoted text>While you're doing all the checking on the internet, why don't you pull up some of her postings and comments over the past 4 years? Ever see her calling anyone a name? Ever see her angry about anything except illegal taxes and back door deals? By all means, let's see you support your statements.
I have; yes and yes.

As far as "turning", she never endorsed Wong, check the archives of her blog. She didn't endorse anyone. She predicted Wong's shortcomings from the beginning.
I'm betting the one or two who post here under multiple screen names aren't even registered to vote in Fitchburg.
Rachel may not have officially endorsed Ms. Wong, but she was very impressed with her in the beginning of the campaign. Check out the postings on the Save Fitchburg blog from 04-26-07 in reaction to Wong, I am running for Mayor. Find one of Rachel's comments which reads:

"Lisa Wong's announcement is possibly the best news we have had in Fitchburg since the days before our hospital was closed. This is a lady who can energize and cultivate the city council, who can really form a coalition with them to get good things done. Don't let her age (or dare I say gender!) fool you. This young woman can bring it home."

Now compare that quote with what she is saying today, and some of the nastier comments she has made about the Mayor. Yes, she turned, and it hasn't been pretty.

And I turned this up after Wong had been on the campaign trail for six months.

Looks like Rachel was clued in before the rest of us.

Lisa Wong

Has the education to get part of the picture. Idealistic, good work ethic, goal setter. Has the mindset of a CFO, not a COO or CEO, so it should be an interesting couple of years. We do need to set our financial house in order before we can move forward as a city.

Short on people skills, short on respect for lifelong residents including those who worked in her campaign. In throwing out the baby with the bathwater she's building her own clique of "insiders." Will the replacement clique really be any better than the "old boys" of the present/past?

Nobody's perfect. She's young and perhaps she will learn something about foundations, history, legacy and respect with maturity. She has no idea what she's truly going to be facing as mayor. Guaranteed, there will be tears. Will they be public or private ones?
Please

Rosemary is only one of the good old boys. She wants to be on the council because her grandfather was. She only cares about the Reynold's name. We don't need her or Mylott. If they get in God help Fitchburg. We need someone who cares about Fitchburg.

You hired her to get the job done. If your feelings get hurt, too bad. You ever heard the term...
"IT'S ONLY BUSINESS"?
She is running a business, not a social club. We were in a HUGH mess.(Thank you Dan Mylott, Mary Whitney and the city council)
People will be hurt in the process. That is business! Not the good ol boy network.

Patrica Collins/Really Rachel/Rachel Rosenthat, will be another Ted DeSalvatore. A move around the country, so you can hide your past sins kind of candidate.

No she was not for Wong. This lunatic was all for Ted DeSalvatore. She overheard him making an
anti-semitic comment (so she says) and dumped him.
I for one am going to find out everything I can about her past whereabouts.
As we found out about Teddy's past, weird, very weird, and not so honest.

She didn't just dump him. She made it her mission to totally destroy him.

My point is that once she is through with you, she can't just walk away, but turns nasty and vindictive. Could she keep that side of her personality in check and run a city? I think not!

Boy I don't know the woman, but it's obvious that she REALLY pissed off that Ted guy! He really is the kind of guy they make horror movies about isn't he? He's not funny nuts. This guy's obsession with her on this forum is just downright scary.

billybob last time we checked heavy lifting wasn't in the mayor's job description. if she was elected the salary would disqualify her for social security disability payments. and last time i checked, in the US thanks to the ADA the disabled have an equal opportunity to run for political office or apply for a job. that equal opportunity stuff is pretty neat. it helped us have a female asian-american mayor, an african-american governor and an african-american president. you saying a disabled person doesn't have the same rights?
YES!
And why isn't she working a job where no "heavy lifing" is involved.

I don't see anyone who claims to be Ted on this forum. It's SHE who has a paranoid fear of him and imagines he's behind every negative comment about her on this forum.
