At least I assume I'm the "Rachel" the flamer is after. If not, my sympathies to the intended target.

I've been notified by the Topix moderator that someone complained, saying that I haven't been playing nice on the Topix boards. I don't know who complained, but I have a guess.

It might be a mean-spirited, thin-skinned former mayoral candidate who will post whatever she thinks might help defeat Mayor Wong. The same one who can't understand why the voters of Fitchburg did not embrace her candidacy. She really believes that she deserves to be queen of Fitchburg.

If it is, I should consider myself lucky. She didn't try to have me fired for criticizing her. Nor did she threaten to sue me. She has experience with both.

Why would anyone want to be Mayor of this city? From the post's I read it would seem like if you have welfare , food stamps and a record you are the best candidate. If you're someone like Wong who want's to change thing's you're wasting your time.

It appears that one candidate wants to pad his pension while current and past city council members tell him what to do.

In the past, at least one person announced her candidacy to feed her overinflated ego. The voters saw through her, and she never even made it to the ballot.
