I attended last nights meeting in Lunenburg. It was refreshing to see the company at the meeting. Mr. DiNapoli and Mr. Caribo indicated that they are on track for their 5 to 7 year trim cycle. They spend close to $400,000 per year in their MA area. Could they spend more and trim more trees? That remains to be seen once the DPU and they review the 3rd party audit that was noted. All in all it was a cordial meeting. I did not realize that they support so many organizations. Mr. DiNapoli mentioned quite a few. It is good to see the town and them talking.

OMG I could just VOMIT. Asplundh requested permission to trim our trees on behalf of Unitil a year ago - a full year later the trees were not done and they CAME BACK to request permission again.- This time we had to sign a form saying the wood would be left behind - isn't that just more work for me? Take your darn wood with you!

What REALLY makes me mad is that over the past 16 years we have lived here we have requested line trimming and they REFUSED. One tree even touched the power line and caught on FIRE and STILL they did not trim the trees.

The real Unitil.

Lets get our executives on local boards and committees like CFO Mark Collins. He's Chairman of the Board of Directors of NH Public TV. Or how about Unitil's Director of Electric and Gas Operations Raymond A. Letourneau. He's a Trustee of Leadership Seacoast. Even CEO Schoenberger once served as chairman and trustee of Exeter Health Resources.
He also served as Director of the Greater Seacoast United Way. Lets spread our tentacles out into the community. Lets throw a $100 to charity here and $1000 there. We'll show everyone what good neighbors we are. Then maybe, just maybe, the folks won't notice our obscene electric and gas rates, investor dividends at the high end of the scale and hundreds of thousands in bonuses to our employees and our arrogance.

WHAT tree trimming? So far we have signed permission forms twice, 9 months apart, and no one has ever come back to trim any trees. The second time around some trees were tagged with orange tape - which will probably rot and fall off before anything is done.

They did remove a number of trees on Sunnyhill this winter - and left the trunks on the lawns all winter!!!

just a FYI - The utility does not own the trees it is either the land owner or the town that does... and if a utility takes down more we complain, if they take down less we complain. It is a balance i worker in the utilty field for years and you can never make everyone happy. Ask Verizon or Charter to trim their lines and see what they say.

Oh Steve, I think you need to sit around the board/"bored" room a little longer and think up some new lines back at your office in UNITIL......PATHETIC....honest ly, treat residents like their stupid and someday they'll believe your BS? Uh, one word Steve- NO.
At some point you and your company will be gone, until then your pathetic excuse for a company will continue to ravage people with unexplainable high rates, your days are limited in North Central MA and from the sounds of things in NH now that people are waking up, UNITIL won't be long for this world there either. Adios and good riddance.

Interesting.....on July 1st the DPU put out a memo which states that FG&E/dba Unitil had submitted their request for proposals for a comprehensive mgmt.audit which incl.a short list of all bidders. They were looking for written comments by 7/23....wasn't this suppose to be done A LONG TIME AGO? WITHIN 45 days of ruling?

Ask verizon to come and trim? We did - they responded - and trimmed their lines free of vines. No Unitil though.....
