Befor you think about running for mayor, you should think about taking a course in English 101. Let the mayor do her job. If you don't like how she is doing her job,you have one vote., USE IT!

You don't like it in Massachusetts move to SC or OK and take a nice cut in pay, The have their republican brand of the good old boy network.
Perhaps you should read George Washington Plunkett on the difference of honest and dishonest graft. Here's the link. Now not only is it entertaining but it makes sense too. don't let the Marxist org thing throw you that's where it came up when I googled the story. It'll probably change your attitude about Nepotism and the good old boy network.

I was talking to someone who went to the comedy night and said Wong just sat at her seat before the show. Any other mayor would have been talking to the citizens and socializing but not her she is far too good for that. She just has NO social skills.

Anyone who has any connection at all with this police department will not have a chance in Fitchburg. These corrupt bunch will be driven out. We will run for mayor to finish the cleaning of the house! You obviously have this false sense of continued ineptness within the FPD as entitlement!
Go ahead and run, I will personally make sure that I receive 5,000 minimum in unregistered voters, registering and voting against this continued corruption of a police force.
This city cannot function until the entire force is cleaned out! Get a clue; put a question on the ballet; Do you think this FPD is so corrupt that it is beyond repair, should the city clean the slate??

And, don't tell me; if she HAD gotten out of her seat and addressed the citizens; you would NOW be here on Topix Forum telling all of us that she is completely full of herself, and you would be wondering why she didn't just stay in her seat and stay quiet!

I agree lets work together!!! Here is my take A dirty cop is almost bad as a convicted felon! Fist I say clean out all the Felon, ex Felons (Even though there is no such thing, once a felon always a felon they cant even be trusted as baggers at Market Basket) because Fitchburg, and society, has no use for them they can never be rehabilitated. Once all of the Felons are gone then get rid of all the dirty cops and bam Fitchburg’s almost empty but it will be an awesome place to live again.

I would have to disagree. For one a "skinner" is a nickname for a r.a. pe. ist. We need to fire the entire FPD. Then we need to lead by example and allow anyone that has a social security card to be automatically eligble to vote. Hold voting on saturday. This way all the co defendants of the corrupt cops will be voted out.
Then we can fire the zoning board as well as the enviromental board as both these partys seem to favor friends and well connected over the rest of Fitchburg.
Then we need to require a DNA sample from everyone in society so 100% of all unsolved crimes can be solved. As opposed to the 1% that they solved by taking DNA from all ex cons. They stated that taking of all cons and excons DNA would solve all these unsolved crimes? WRONG! We now have to take DNA from the rest of society so we can catch the other 99%!
My guess is we all would see what our government and all its trusted "law abiding" lifes that they live really do in their given "service" to society?LMFAO
Dude, maybe you wouldn't be BLIND if you took your head out of the pooper of BIG BROTHER! Yeah, the same BIG BROTHER who controls all the gambling and alcohol sales; heck even drugs and prostitution in some states!

I most definitely agree, it is unacceptable and it happens in the private sector every day, not just in city government.
As far as Bernie Stephens goes, my mother always told me "if you have nothing good to say, don't say anything", so I have nothing to say. Whoever it was several posts ago who mentioned Mr. Stephens' work at the Sentinel, was right on.

what catches my attention is how Sentinel and Enterprise choose to report this news. While this newspaper's title for this news was "Police officer says he was excluded from interview process for veterans’ agent job", Worcester Telegram and Gazette's title for the same story was "Decorated veteran named to veterans post." At the end of the day, if someone didn't get a job is not news. However, this newspaper seems to take a bias when it sheds a negative light on Ms. Wong administration on this article and many more. I believe she is doing a fine job taking what she has to work with. And please, be less bias when reporting.

Why should this cop get the job? Why does he feel entitled? These guys have this unbeleivable sense of entitlement.
What about entitlement not to break the law? Do your job at hand! These guys get the biggest hand out in society!
It is becomming a joke! I say lay off 70% of the cops on first shift! We will have the exact same numbers in terms of arrest. Then rehire cops to the second and third shifts on thursday, friday and saturday.
Please answer Bourne, what does your day entail? What do you do from hour to hour for 40 hrs a week? The citizens of Fitchburg would be blown over by all the FPDs answers to these questions!
Tasca stated "everyone takes this "matchbook/taco bell wrapper comp time" that they keep track of themselves. Why wasn't this investigated?? Another cover up??
Where is the $43,000 plus that was missing from the treasury?
Kaddy at $43,000; the city could hire 8 investigators! Then u wouldn't complain about the $77 dollars that the mayor was overcharged!
The public is watching all these foolish comments as the FPD and former FPD (kaddy, etal) attempt to bash the Mayor over every crumb as they allow $43,000 to go unanswered and as they protect CORRUPT thieving COPS!

Kaddy was quoted as saying that Tasca should not have been fired for digging into his mystery stash of 8 year old comp time; comp time that was not on record anywhere. I suppose that Kaddy must have felt that if we simply took Tasca aside; and slapped his wrist ever so lightly for his apparent indiscretion; the public would have felt vindicated.

I guess the fact that Tasca was taking two extra weeks off with pay and using his mystery comp time to cover for it was not thought of as being out of line by Kaddy.

Wow...all of you saying that Wong did this... Do you actually think that DiNatale or any of the other city councilors would have actually said "Hey Mayor..I trash you every chance I get and I disagree with everything you do...but SURE, I will do you a favor and give him a job!" I doubt it.

To Sonny Brisbois - Yes the final choice was hers, but that is not what Bourne is upset about. He is upset he was never interviewed, which was NOT her call but the search committee's

7-8 years ago I filed a excessive force complaint against a Fitchburg Officer for beating on a 15 year old kid. Capt Carbone who was ahead of Internal Affairs had the officer dead to rights and he assured me it wasn’t the first time this officer crossed the line. I should have know the fix was in when:
The arrest report followed my complaint with excuses for his actions almost line for line. Carbone was reading the officers report to me and my daughter when he got to a part where he stated;
“ When he got on top of me I was in fear for my safety” My daughter and I simultaneously looked at other and chuckled as if on cue, and again as if on cue we said “He’s lying! 3 days later carbone called me and told me the tape hadn’t been turned on and could I come back to give another statement. He also told me he didn’t need my daughter because my statement would be good enough. My daughter later told me the red light on the recorder was lit. A few years later the same cop now a sergeant went off on a deputy sheriff.
I went to court on the kids behalf and the judge believed me and not the retired officers daughter who came out of the woodwork to perjure herself for the officer. The judge threw them a bone by finding the kid guilty of resisting arrest, and not guilty on the A+B on a PO
When carbone ran for city council I informed the sentinel about his felonious act but it went no where. So much for the 4th estate. I blame carbone more than that punk jeff. You guy’sbe sure to tell him I called him a punk to.

Now, now.....be nice, ol' pal. If you go back and re-read the comments; you will see that someone brought up Kaddy's name on post number 57; and it was not me. I did offer a comment or two regarding that captivating individual Kaddy; but again I did not swing the conversation THAT WAY.

I'll take my apology NOW, please.
