Now, now; I thought you and I had an agreement. You would stop posting phoney messages with my name on them.

You need a new hobby. Have you considered learning how to make ballonn animals? You can dazzle the kiddies at family functions. It will be more productive then just posting phoney bullsh#t with my name on it.

You need to get away from your computer and get out of the house more often.....

Folks, Darn Tootin from West Newton ALWAYS posts from West Newton; and never from Fitchburg.

PS: I agree. There are a few lazy, good for nothing cops on the force; but I can do my own talking....

What a bunch of whiny little poop-heads you turned out to be! Fitchburg is finally going to get some of their streets lit up at night through the use of explosives, granted only for a short period of time, and all you can do is whine. It's better than setting houses on fire to light the streets, and with a lean fire department that will probably happen next!

Cancel the fireworks and parade. There is no money to pay for police and fire protection for these events. it sets up a dangerous situation with large crowds and no one to police them. This is toatlly irresponsible on the city's part.Who is making these insane decisions?

I attended the Block Party last year and it was fantastic, I loved the old cars! Stayed for fireworks at Crocker Field and they were great!! If the city is able to pull of the firework display from the top of Rollstone hill this will be a HUGE draw. Who came up with this idea?? I want to congratulate the person.

Last year Mr. Ansin donated the fireworks. Heard his business isn't doing so well this year. Is he paying for the fireworks again?
Mr Ansin paid for the fireworks for a long time, but for the last few years he stoped because not one thank you came from the mayors office.
This years fireworks was paid for with money left over from last years block party

I can't believe the mayor said she was not upset that for hours police surrounded an empty house and we the taxpayers have to pay for such shoddy detective work. She might not be upset but I'm a little outraged and embarrassed to have to pay for stupidity with tax dollars.
Why is this being discussed on this forum

There are so many great places you can see them from that its hard to list them all, but I think your best bet is to come downtown for the block party, park somewhere in the uppercommon area and after the block party watch them from there.

They are setting them off at rollstone hill, behind the 2009 high school rock, the best place to see them is behind city hall in the parking lot.
