Typical smoke and mirrors. Gas is still way over priced but now you can feel good it went down a couple pennies. When Bush was in office gas was $.99 a gallon.

I was told by the Govt. that with all of the push for electric cars and green energy that gas prices would go down. What happened?

YEah well interesting, Gas was only this high during 1981-1984, you know the Reagan years! Nothing has changed and you're still just a dirtbag no work POS.

Guess the only real difference is, gas mileage which thanks to Democrats, is better and better so the cost of your commute, if you worked and actually had one that is, is cheaper now than then!!!!

You insult yourself here daily idiot, that's why you get this from me!

More expensive than what? I've just proven to you that gas prices are actually the same as in 1981-1984 so.....fact is, you're an idiot drumming up BS whining and complaining based on nothing but your ignorant fantasies about Presidents.

Thank you for the compliment Bill. I don't have a direct line I'm just speaking in general. The public was sold on going green to save money but it's more expensive. Plus those shitty new light bulbs don't last and cost four times more than an incandescent bulb.

In short when the main stream media tells you something is to good to be true it usually is.

Gas being high in 1980-84 wasn't Reagan's problem. Or have you forgotten about the energy crisis under Carter? Gas prices fell significantly between 1980 and 84, Regean's first term. And comtinued to drop into his second term. And continued to drop, by a smaller margin, during Bush I term. They bounced up and down a little during Clinton's terms and then shot up during Bush II terms. But they're peaking under Obama with the trend moving up and to the right.

That's a government chart with the adjustment for inflation accounted for.
That's cute how you can say it wasn't Reagan's problem yet, it's the current presidents, I can find charts too...

"then shot up during Bush II terms" YOUR WORDS!

Going UP steadily since 2002.

yet somehow it's Obama's fault.

"Gas prices fell significantly between 1980 and 84, Regean's first term."

Is just an outright lie even based on your chart $3.51 in 1982!!!

Easy people. I just ask obvious simple questions. For instance I possibly have five old televisions in my basement. All work well but they are older models that are heavy and not flat screens. Where do these old TV's go? I can't sell them because nobody wants to spend $200 for an older TV when they can buy a new flat screen for $300.

Thanks Tim. I'm just confused why my trucks that burn gas are worse than battery cars? If my gas tank gets rusty I get a new one but if a battery car has a problem you're looking at $2500 just to figure out what the problem is.

Your name is quite fitting, by the way.
Look at the chart you linked. Gas prices spiked again at the end of Clinton's last term, in 1999 into 2000. They came back down for a bit in the middle of Bush I term but then started thier upward trajectory. Big drop in '09 then shaper increase exiting '09 into '10. Or can you not see that in your chart?
And you prove exactly what a rabbit hole is, something you bozo's just love to trample down.

Price of Gas in 1982, like it or not, no excuses, 3.55!

The story linked and what started the conversation, like it or not, no excuses, 3.52!!

"That price is 6 cents lower than the national average for self-serve, regular and 4 cents per gallon lower than at this time last year."

yet, it wasn't Reagans problem?

Enjoy your rabbit hole voter, it's all you ever have.

Sorry Robo. I grew in a day when gas stations would pump my gas, check my oil and wash my windshield at $.99 a gallon. Now that I'm a smart liberal I do it all myself because I'm the best gas filling person in the world and I like working for free WEEEEEEE!!!! I feel so empowered when I fill my gas tanks, I would say I should pay the gas station for letting me fill my tank but I already do YAAAAYYYYYY!
Love it

Carter created the issue, Reagan inherited it. Just like Obama inherited a lot of Shrub's issues. If you can't see that then you're a partisan hack.

And love your childish over and out, you trolls always high tail it when someone dominates you like Voter did.

Since you'd like to admit here "Just like Obama inherited a lot of Shrub's issues." maybe you'd like to list them all out clearly so the rest of the thread can understand that which they have never admitted to???
