there needs to be a full investigation of the university"Despres' bail was reduced to $500 and he was released the following day.
He was ordered to be GPS monitored, to be confined to his New Bedford home except for court dates and to have no contact with FSU or any of its students. "
From $50,000 to $500 ? Just stomping on Constitutional rights. There is NO accountability for mis-using the courts displaying abuse of power???
People may think it is crazy but we are really not far from bringing back pure racism. You will be judged byyour skin color!
To drag this kid back and forth through the court system in an attempt to making him into something he is not!! Leave the kid alone already!
Stop lying as these belts have been in schools since I was attending over 25 years ago! Everyone has seen a belt like this, I cannot believe that the state has not withdrew the charges.
When they make such mistakes then the system utilizes all of its resources and power to cover it up because they are afraid of the civil suit.
Our state government is in complete shambles. I thought with an african American as governor that he would atleast stand up for civil rights!!! I voted for him twice, the second time I struggled with it but the alternatives were in your face anti constitution.
The people need to stand one time in history and to vote! It is so bad now that the governor allows civil right and constitution violations as policy of the state of massachusetts.
The lawyer for a former Fitchburg State University student arrested in December for trespassing and wearing an ammunition belt on campus is seeking to have the case dismissed because the state police crime lab determined the belt is fake.Full Story

He didn't threaten anyone. They know it but they are showing their power of corruption.
Such corruption will come up for discussion, it may take a few years but someone will show that they care.

Okay here we go again, got your seatbelts on? Need more education?
Bullet belts have been around for a long time and are worn by punk rock fans.
Anytime someone purchases a belt they are warned about not to wear it to schools, church and in stores, etc.
It is not illegal to wear it but obviously anyone who buys one knows it can be offensive to other people.
Now there are dress code regulations in every place in the US whether people agree or disagree with it.
Trust me you cannot wear a thong in class at Fitchburg State. They may not have a dress code but they do have a rule that a student cannot present themselves as a disruption to other students.
There is no law about wearing any type of clothing to school but there is a rule in colleges about being disruptive and being a distraction in class!
All it takes is one faculty member or a student to complain.
This is called a "Catch 22 rule" that was originally started in the military.
The "Catch-22" is that "anyone who wants to get out of combat duty isn't really crazy." Hence, pilots who request a mental fitness evaluation are sane, and therefore must fly in combat. At the same time, if an evaluation is not requested by the pilot, he will never receive one and thus can never be found insane, meaning he must also fly in combat.
Therefore, Catch-22 ensures that no pilot can ever be grounded for being insane even if he is.

You are wrong! This kid was charged with Ammunition!!! He was wearing the belt in public!
They put this kid in a real horrible human rights violating prison. I am not exagerating! You talk about dirty? This prison has been known for skin diseases and serious water problems.
Besides these conditions we are talking about a belt here. Whether you like his dress or not you have absolutely No right to imprision him over it!!! Antonucci abuses his authority. The Fitchburg courts see more government abuse of power cases than most cities. They talk openely about personal problems between citizens and police ect. They call it "political" cases.
The University is suppose to be the place to express yourself no matter how different you may be from others. Our nations University system is the foundation for our democracy.

When students don't know his belt is fake and started screaming for help and calling the police, that is okay too?
#26 Mar 10, 2013
"and started screaming for help and calling the police". You are attempting to misalign facts!
The kid was packing his car with his belongings, he wasn't ranting and raving he was leaving.
You are still attempting to label this kid into a group which you deam dangerous!
The problem in society today is the fact that your group has made too much money which has made you feel better than!
Karma is coming to everyone who has earned it as there is no avoiding this energy.
Deval Patrick should request for Antonuccis' resignation. Then Mayor Wong will apply for the job!

The kid sent threatening e-mails to staff after being expelled for doing drugs. After being told to call campus police before he gets his stuff he just shows up wearing a belt full of bullets and scares everyone. The key word in this topic is 'seeks' but it's not going to happen.

No, the problem is you have been "institutionalized" and when that happens you cannot be reprogrammed.
In a normal world that non-institutionalized people live in, walking around with a belt that looks like real bullets in a normal college setting isn't something you just ignore.
It's not your fault because the way you view the world.
You have a problem with authority. You have problems with law enforcement. This is due to you being programmed in an "institution".
I know you didn't have a relationship with your father because you never mention him and only your mother. That didn't help either.
You never had a father to guide you and to "program" you into the norms of society.
For example: if someone broke into my house I would not hesitate to take my 9mm and neutralize them.
You on the hand hand will think like a criminal and state his life should not have been taken because you will always retain a criminal mind that was "institutionalized". IT'S NOT YOUR FAULT !
I don't think like a criminal, I don't know why an intruder is in my house and I am not gonna ask because within seconds he could take my life, rape my young daughters and kidnap my wife.
I am sure an intruder did not break into my house and violate my private space unannounced to make cupcakes with me.
Neutralizing an intruder doesn't make me a criminal, it makes me a "defendent" of society's rules.
You will never be able to comprehend that and it is not your fault, I understand that.

"The problem in society today is the fact that your group has made too much money which has made you feel better than!"
I see you base everything on money too, why is that? My group? I don't even live in Fitchburg or Massachusetts. I earn approximately $12K per year. Is that alot to you?

I love living in West Virginia. I only play topix for the points.

WOW prisons that aren't 5 star hotels? What's next, hand cuffs that can cause a rash? Here's an idea, DON'T go to prison. Normal people don't know police, judges, jails and all the other people you complain about. Just stay out of trouble please and try to become a productive person and get a job.
If you don't like prison don't do anything to put you there.
