So the people have spoken, snd the Board of Selectmen have spoken.

But Peter is not done talking,

why is Peter so not interested in the democatic process?

when the baby doesn't get his way he cries louder and louder

Why didn't Katina ask some hard hitting questions like why are you still trying to move forward when the people have spoken Peter?.

I always thought there were two whiners in Ashby that had some type of grudge against the BOS and the government in Ashby but now I realize that you and Ashbycantwin are the same person.
It is obvious you have someone on dispatch so you are bias, but for the regular citizens of Ashby there is a chance to update our equipment so there are no dead spots (we should be very concerned about the safety of our police)at no cost to us. My taxes will be going up enough for North Middlesex so if we can get this without us paying I'm all for listening to what the people from the state Regional Dispatch have to say. If there was wrong info out there why wouldn't you want to get the facts straight - unless you have some personal reason not to.

So you truely believe that King Peter is looking out for Ashby and doesn't have personal agenda.

It wasn't tslking about upgrades.
Peter doesn't give a crap about the police and "dead spots". he is still thinking regionliation. If he did give a crap he would have told a concerned citizen to mind their own bussiness when a major saftey issue arose at the POLICE station.

you want to fix dead spots, thats great say that. make a motion to get more cell towers in town to fix ALL THE DEAD AREAS FOR ALL PEOPLE. all the police officers have cell right? they can't use them in 3/4 of the town.that's also when radios don't get any reception.

The bleeding hearts would say,we don't want cell towers they take away the small ambiance that we have. Don't talk saftey to me. The dead spots have to do with the radios, the repeater and the frequencies on which police/ems broadcast on.The upgrades are to what the 911 systems?

"Ashby police officers and dispatchers who attended the selectmen's meeting last week said the system Ashby uses for RECORDING DATA is not compatible with Ashburnham's, and valuable data would be lost in transition." THATS A STORY QUOTE.

This a quote from you ;"If there was wrong info out there why wouldn't you want to get the facts straight - unless you have some personal reason not to" what do 911 upgrades and recording have to do with broadcasting strengh thru out the town?

Is the reason why only the two of you are posting about this is because this is the FITCHBURG forum and you are to stupid to understand that?

I do truly believe that Peter and the BOS are looking out for Ashby. They live here - what possible personal agenda could they have? I watched the meeting on tv and it said that any information could be transferred at a cost. Didn't our Ashby chief ask for almost $300,000 to upgrade our 911 police system in Ashby? Regionalizing would solve that. It probably wouldn't save much in the beginning because we'd have to keep the dispatchers here (personally I think they should have been told to go to Ashburnham in that nice new building and get them out of that trailor) It was also stated that Ashburnham's system has something they put in their trunks to get better service. If this was truly the "big issue" I would like to know if any Ashby officers took up the Ashburnham chief's offer of riding with an Ashburnham patrolman around Ashby to see how the reception is.
It is obvious you have a personal reason to be so negative about this - I figure you have a relative that's a dispatcher. As far as a citizen being told to mind her own business, we all know the story of Lil. I give everyone at town hall credit for being as nice to her as they are because she is very confused and a pain in the neck. I saw her letter at Mr. Mikes that made no sense. Every time she opens her mouth she is an embarrassment to this town.
Once again I will ask what personal agenda they could possibly have except to be looking to the future of our town.

First of all, It's not a f&*king trailer! never has been. 40 years ago it was built for the kindergarden, two classrooms that's why it has two doors side by side.

"something in the trunks" Do you even know what trunked radio system is? Ashburnham is not on trunked frequencies, the FD operates on 470.450 high band and the PD is on 470.300 high band. Cities like worcester and Boston operate on 800 and higher. these are for Cities that have a large number of municipal services. this still has nothing to do with the 911 system. 911 grants won't pay for TWO RADIO UPGRADES.you are a complete misinformed idiot. as for Peter, he was the class clown in school. class clowns are that way because they crave attention. things have not changed to much in 45 years.

It sure looks like a trailer to me! It seems as though I've hit a nerve. You didn't mention who you have on dispatch because you obviously have someone. I'm guessing you also have some connection to Lil because you are the only one who always defends her crazy actions.
I don't understand all the technical parts and I don't need to, that's the job of our chief and Ashburnhams chief.I don't want the 911 grant to pay for 2 radio upgrades. As a tax paying citizen of Ashby who will be paying big bucks for North Middlesex, and with no hidden agenda like you, I want to save money, upgrade on the grant's dime, regionalize with Ashburnham and let them dispatch from there. I think the selectmen were too soft to say they could stay here. And now after how the dispatchers have acted throughout this whole ordeal I'm sure Ashburnham or anyone else wouldn't want them.
And finally I understand your hatred of Peter. It all stems back to grade school. What was he teacher's pet and you were jealous. You're a big boy now and it's time to grow up.

FYI type in Ashby's zipcode 01431 into the Topix change city and you will see this under the Ashby forum. It's probably also under Ashburnham's and several others too.

First of all my agenga is not hidden. it's right there in front of you. Secondly I could be anyone a dispatcher, a member of the police dept, a firefighter a DPW empolyee or a combo of any of the above (there is some).I could even be a selectman whose tired of the P M show. you don't know. but at least I know who you are now.
Ashby people have spoken and the majority of the BOS have spoken. Nothing hidden there. so who has the hidden agenda? Hell I'm still waiting for a valid excuse from somebody on paying in full for a firetruck. It must be Lil Whitney's fault, she so "crazy".
I have a feeling that there will another vote that Peter will in the middle of soon. He won't be voting though, he'll be the subject voted on. So don't blame anyone on that except the subject there of. The people need to be listened to, whether it's right or wrong. the people have the say. that's how it works.

Dan voted to reconsider after the state contacted him so there goes your majority. Don't you want to get the whole truth from the state 911, obviously not. And as far as the firetruck I figure Peter could not have voted for that because he is on the fire dept and he would have had to abstain from voting, so why do you blame him? I also don't think it was "the people of Ashby" as you said who voted that day.I feel it was mostly friends and family of the dispatchers and not a true representation of the taxpaying people of Ashby.
And to get back to Lil. Last night was another embarassment. You could see the people rolling their eyes and hear the groans every time she got up. The 32 that actually voted for her are the same people that vote against everything the town governement tries to do just for the sake of it.
I am anxious to hear what the state has to say about regionalization and then make an informed decision about what is best for everyone in Ashby and not just a few dispatchers.

this really does not matter since they already lost the grant opportunity for dispatch when they voted against it- who cares if they are changing their minds now......too late!

That's why I keep asking why Peter is still marching forward. Why indeed? To take the focus off his other short comings since he's been Selectman.
Peter has not doned his bunker gear in so long he'd probably wear in backwards. Firefighter, I don't think so.

Who really gives a crap what an old lady says at these meetings any way? I didn't think any one could be intimadated by such an obtuse fiqure, guess I was wrong. It's funny Ashby woman I opened the door and you walked in.

I have no idea what this door thing is about and I certainly am not intimidated by Lil. I'm just embarrassed and sick of her wasting everyone's time with her ridiculous questions that make no sense to anyone.
The grant has to still be on the table if the state 911 wants to come to explain why Ashby should go regional and use the grant. I think you are misinformed.
I have no idea who does what on the fire dept but if he was on it then he couldn't have voted for the truck, he would have had to abstain. Thats the law. Unless you know otherwise.
No problem

I believe Ashby should fire all of the police. I also believe the town needs a connector and I believe an airport would help. Are you a cop or a cops wife? Are you hiding behind a badge?

voting for a truck and paying for it in full before anyone has even seen it are two different things. I want to know who said it was ok to cut a check for 325,000 dollars for something that was nonexistent. the damn thing wasn't even built yet. who ? town admin, BOS, tresurers office.? your telling me that he , they just sat back and let it fly. if that was your corporation would YOU make someone acounttable?

Would you have said "it was only 325000,you keep your job."
this is what I need to know.
Do you think this is important / relevant to what I've been sayin.
does this action or lack of it define character or job ability?
Or was this action business as usual for the big yellow building.
I think it does
