You are clueless the biggest pawns are the 13 and 14 year old PR's that are conned into doing the dirty work.. Anyone in a gang is a coward and only in the gang because they cannot defend themselves. I'm waiting for them to raid meadowbrook and take all the scum out of there.
Norma will never let it happen. There are people there thst owe a ton of money and no eviction. Heck one of her own employee's kid's was arrested for drugs. I thought you are surpose to evict, and why not because it is just still Gettobrook, someone should hold her accountable for let it bread and fester there.

You can sure as hell send them to jail for robbing and stealing, selling dope and shooting up the place though. If you look at the
srug related" incarcerations, it isn't because of their addictions they are locked up, its because of the CRIMES commited to feed it. You won't go to jail for being a junkie, but you will for robbing a mini mart and shooting the proprietor in the process, to feed your freaking habit. The same as you won't go to prison for being falling down drunk every day, but you will for driving in that condition and flattening a pedestrian.

If the police were not cut to bare bones in this city, they would be able to have more officers and resources to effectively combat gangs and drugs. If the mayor keeps cutting the police departments budget, the problems will only get worse. No gang unit in a city this size is foolish. Three drug officers is crazy in this drug infested city. You can only do reactive police work with the sixty patrol officers that are left. Cities this size across the country have double that.

I can't believe that this city doesn't have a gang unit, they must. If not they have to formulate one asap, like today. We need to find this out. They balance of officers is un organized. We have too many cruisers during the day as you see them drive four cars in a row down the street. Now on friday and sat night they have a total of four cruisers. They need to change the shifts so they address the crime element.
On Friday and saturday you can drive behind the police station and see the gun runners and drug dealers cars. They know when to operate, they are moving big weight. On Friday all they have to do is have someone break a car window on south street and at the same time move big weight to it's local dealers from rt 2 on water street or choose to shoot some kids over there in a gang war or status, whatever!
We need an organized gang unit;it is not hard to see who they are and follow them to their friends as they throw gang signs loudly. They wear Gold and black clothing allot to show their gang affiliation.

There should be a weekly question and answer by the chief each week addressing these problems. As we could get law enforcement progress updates on shootings, stabbings and killing suspects ect..

I can't figure out why the mayor of Fitchburg thinks it is a good idea to keep the streetlights off, given everything that is going on in the city. There are murders occuring that could very well be prevented by adequate lighting. Has the Mayor been down these dark streets at night? Would she be willing to walk alone without an escort? No, she knows how dangerous it is, but she would rather keep the lights off rather than finding the money somewhere else (which of the city's employees could we do without? I can think of very many).
As far as the Fitchburg police are concerned, gang violence is only important enough to assign a few officers? I think that violent crime would be their first order of business, and perhaps things like traffic enforcement would be put on the back burner. What is the Fitchburg Police's first priority, I really want to know.

I don't get people like you. But I think I now really understand the term, "Bleeding heart liberal."

I still can't get over your comment. Babies!?!?! Get a clue before it's too late.

BTW, for those of you who do not know what [sic] means, it is from Latin, translated as "thus," "so," or "just as that."

It means that the previous word as originally penned is misspelled or used improperly.

They were babies; they shouldn't had a machete,if they did. A machette is a long thick knife for cutting through brush. They were probably showing it off all the time trying to be big shots.

They were young kids who have this misguided culture being thrown in their face like this rap music that depicts a life that doesnt exist but makes the kid think he is a bad ass.

We had Heavy Metal as we were guided to act out of control and smoke pot. Some kids murdered and got killed behind this music also.

I do think the new chief is doing well but he can't fix this department alone as it has been corrupted for years. There budget is multi millions!! They allowed these Cliques to run and ruin Fitchburg for years and I am not talking about street gangs!!
The FPD had become an out of control thug force that harrassed it's citizens and allowed the criminal element to run the city.
You should consider running for Mayor...

Deep down inside his heart lurks a malicious, bitterly envious creature wholly in the grasp of the compulsion to control and get even with all authority.

Another one for the gipper...
"My position concerning the need to renegotiate the FPD union contract has nothing to do with the ability of our officers. The FPD is short staffed concerning second and third shifts."
