What is the deadline for candidates to file their papers for the mayoral race?

Without knowing the field of candidates I think your poll is premature.

Really? You do not have to vote for an unopposed candidate. You can write in anyone you like including yourself.
Good bet

And remember what she said publicly that she didn't want to piss them off until their repair work was done, in so many words what she meant. She said that the time for public scrutiny would come and it has. Maybe you took it too literally to mean she found them without fault at all, which is not what she said.

just sayin how would you know exactly what she meant in the emails to me? were you the one who composed the chain emails that she had her office send out in response to the resident complaints. As a reminder she works for us not unitil. her half heart commitment to us the voters will be her down fall. she is the one who hid in the EOC she is the one who did not go beyond main street. she is the one who supported a hotel throwing out storm victims. she did not join our other elected officials in calling for public hearings by the DPU until 2 days later. she is the one who put the responsibility on the city council for the city to hold its own special hearings when is she going to lead? the executive office at any level of government is to lead I do not see her leading anything accept meeting to start a coffeeshop coop.

So please who the heck are you to tell me what she meant or are you unable just another wong support who wants to bury the truth. half hearted sound bites will not get her reelected

Yeah, while Fitchburg froze, she spent time at the Coco Key Water Resort. It's all about priorities I
guess...

Correct. There are some voters who at this point are sure they would not vote for Wong under any circumstances; however, there are others who will decide based on the field of candidates.

I can foresee a scenario where some who aren't fond of Wong would vote for her if she is opposed by someone they find even more objectionable.

I will write myself in before I trow away the vote to her

What good would pointing fingers do back in December. I think we all knew who the darn ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM WAS - no need to point a finger at it. Please, tell us what pointing fingers at Unitil would have done on December 12th, 13th, 14th etc. Do you think if we pointed our fingers at them, they would have had our power back on any sooner?? Leaders resolve issues first and point fingers later.

please real world what has she done to ressolve the problem of unitil as i have stated on other forums she expects everyother elected official to be fully engaged in the unitil issue but she is over at FSC trying to keep a unitil director happy. of course in order to resolve the unitil problem would mean she would need to hold them accountable but since she is trying to please a unitil director that would mean that holding the company accountable would offend them and heaven forbid we offend unitil. what has she done in the last 2 years that was good for the real residents of fitchburg. lets see she did the coffee shop coop, oh wait that benifits FSC and brings in no tax revenue. She turned off the lights but have you noticed the double lighting on main street. Real World she is the elephant in the room and her half hearted sound bites will not get her reelected

BLAH, BLAH, BLAH......you haven't answered my question. Let me be clear, what would pointing fingers have done to get our power back on any quicker? Answer?? I'm NOT asking about what anyone is doing about holding them accountable.

There are many of us who have seen what this petulant YOUTH (miss Wong) has cost this city from the very beginning. It may not be quantifiable on a balance sheet but it's chilling effect began immediately. By effectively closing our Public Library she gutted any chance that Fitchburg had at municipal self respect. She claims to want to save this institution for future generations. Are the children of this generation the losers by default? The tired "someone has to suffer" excuse coupled with the "tough decisions" cop out. How can we stand amongst our fellow cities and townships without cringing with embarrassment over what this inexperienced pupil has wrought with her reactionary and brutal closures and cuts. Less police, fewer streetlights. An ideal habitat for the unsavory elements that would make life less livable. This girl has Made us LESS safe. By trying to manipulate the citizens into a trash fee with threats of darkness and worse she has shown herself to be what we have known all along... She is WrONG for this city. We've been here too long and been through too much too be bullied and intimidated by this blip and her henchmen Casassa and Streb.

All I have to say is we need November to slide in here quickly!!!! And put the damn lights back on. I've had my car broken into and as they drove away I couldnt see the plate or color of the car, it was so black out there.
Ive lived in Fitchburg 53 years now and never once have we closed our library. What a gal...
Increased Taxes, Water, having to run three flood lights, having to pay for damage done to my home that was caused by a decaying city tree, that I have reported numerous times, There are no sidewalks on either side of the street and many children take this route that attend memorial middle school. I could go on and on. oh what was the question, will I vote for Ms Wong in November NOT

I would rather lose the library than lose more cops or teachers. Its that simple. Dont like it? Support a 2 1/2 over-ride. You cannot squeeze blood from stone.

She still gets my vote. She is willing to make short term sacrifices for long term success.
