Fitchburg drug raid nets marijuana, guns and $50G in cash

A raid at a Main Street home Tuesday morning netted nearly two pounds of marijuana, two handguns, a large capacity rifle and more than $50,000 in cash, according to court documents.

This story makes no mention of the FPD being involved. I heard that for some strange and unknown reason, the FPD WAS NOT involved in any way with the North Worcester County Drug Task Force. The story floating around a couple of years ago was that the police departments from every town and city in Worcester County had involvement with the NWCDTF; except Fitchburg's PD.

I do not know if:

1) That was true a few years back.
2) If it was true a few years back; if it is still the case.

Again, this story makes no mention of the FPD itself being involved with this raid and arrest. Why is that?

And why is the bail so damn low?$1000.00 cash bail? Unreal. The Judge who was presiding over this case deserves to be tarred and feathered at high noon this coming Sunday on the Fitchburg Common.
