Singapore doesn't renew license

I learned today the the Singapore restaurant in Fitchburg missed the deadline for renewing thier liquor license. The Paddock Lounge made the same mistake a couple years ago and were forced to be closed for 5 months. Let's see if double standards take over now, many are watching....

If the local Liquor Board is paying attention to the status of the Singapore's liquor license as well as they were paying attention to the status of JR's Pub's liquor license, the owners of the Singapore have very little to be worried about. It is common knowledege that JR's Pub had a liquor license in the name of JR's Inc for well over decade after JR's Inc no longer existed, as they happilly served liquor to the masses. And, the local Liquor Commissioner either was too stupid to realize it; or he knew all about it but he played the role of Mickey the Dunce: he made believe that he had no knowledge of it.

Again, if our Liquor Board jumps on this as quickly as they jumped on the rhubarb with the Siomos Clan and JR's Pub's liquor license, the Singapore has well over a decade to sort this mess out. And, even then, it would take an unwarranted beating of a camera wielding innnocent man to bring any focus to the issue.....

And you and I both know Singapore will not be closed down over a liquor license technicality chuggles. They serve more booze and food there in one hour than the Paddock serves in a month. Heck, the whole city of Fitchburg would have too close down along with them. Where would all the divorcees go for entertainment on a Friday night? I mean c’mon chuggles, I realize you have a hair across your ass for the licensing commission but this one’s just way too easy to predict.

Greetings all once again, it's that time of year we wish you all a joyous "Happy Holidays". I would'nt want to offend any Terrorist out their by sayng "Merry you know what".
Anyways this weekend we will be throwing our annual Happy Holidays Party at Chapter Headquarters.
Stamos himself will be guest speaker, kicking off the Holiday party.Stamos will give lectures on" How I made my success within 5 years" speech along with a How to prove people wrong with the gift of BS" speech. In addition Stamos will close it out on his theory" How to Impress people even if you have no idea what your saying".
This year's raffle will be a life size "Blow-up Stamos Doll". A punchong bag with Stamos's face imprinted on it and a "pin the tail on the Stamos Donkey"
Non -members need to pay a $50 Dollar admisions fee. See you all at the party

The matter will be discussed Monday Dec 17th at the commision meeting, the didn't sign by 11-31-12, they're screwed. We had the same thing happen at the eastwood club and were closed for 3 months.

I really don't know how the City could possibly take a hard line with the Singapore, after they took such a soft line with the Siomo's clan and JR's Pub for years running.

Somehow, JR's Pub was operating for well over a decade even though the business that was holding the actual liquor license for JR's Pub didn't even exist. On top of that, Chuckles The Cop was barricading off one end of North Street on a regular basis, as his patrons wandered around on public streets with open containers of alcohol in their hands. Screeching tires and loud music being played outside was the norm over at JR's, and the entire police department, right up to our proud police chief made believe that they somehow hadn't noticed the illgeally parked cars and the 40-50 motorcycles that were parked illegally on the sidewalk on a bi-weekly basis for years running.

No, I'm afraid that the License Commission will have to take the same soft line with the Singapore that they did with JR's Pub. What is fair for one is fair for the other.

Gee wizz Jackie...that is not a bad idea, but you never know how someone will react to something as harmless as a few snapshots...don't forget, Chuckles The Cop came bounding out of JR's Pub (propelled by his powerful hamhocks) when he heard that a Shutterbug was outside snapping a few innocent pics...Over at the Singapore, one or two of those cute little oriental men COULD come bounding out of the place when they become aware of innocent snapshot taking going on ouside.

Some people are just plain camera shy. I think that Chuckles The Cop must fall into THAT catagory. I am not so sure about Asian men. Maybe innocent picture taking doesn't faze them. Besides, I don't think that they have very powerful hamhocks. They cannot accelerate and bound as well as some of our Lawmen can. So, the person snapping the innocent pics SHOULD be able to get away; instead of getting used as a human punching bag....

When you feel the police aren't doing a good job I see you will post negative comments at them. I also notice if they do a good job then you post positive comments for them.

So what it is? Mayoral candidates are not fence riders! A fence rider never gets elected. Citizens do not respect fence riders they would rather know how you stand.

People like to go out and have a little fun after a long week of work. Maybe you just don't like the idea of people having fun? I guess we can add to the list of people you have insulted to the Asian people. Most Asians believe in something you can't comprehend 'Hard work'. If you took a vote of residents if they feel that JR's or The Singapore should be punished for paperwork problems 99.9 percent would say "who cares, we have fun and it's not that big of a deal.".

The number of residents who would have a problem would probably equal the number who voted for you....next to zilch.
