By the way Einstien, read the article she wasn't a girl, she was a 40 y/o woman, and I'm sure the car was the weapon.

Thank you Typical for saying exactly what I was thinking...I live in Fitchburg and it may not be the best place around, but I know from experience the FPD goes above and beyond. These men and women put their lives on the line every day to make sure that this city is protected. I would love to know what some of these people would do if they were in the same situation. I am sure the officer shot the woman as a last defense. I am sorry that someone had to pass, but I would rather not see a headline in tomorrows paper about a death of a police officer. Keep up the good work FPD.

besides it doesn't say HIGH SPEED CHASE...its says police chase...they're not ALL like they are on TV ya know...sometimes a "pursuit" can be a normal speeds but the car refuses to pull over.
I couldn't agree more with your previous post. However, as a point of information, I was caught in the middle of this chase on my way to work this morning. The women nearly hit me from behind as she split me and an oncoming car. I was doing 50ish.. she was easily doing 90+.. The 10-15 cops that followed minutes later were moving as well. I think it is appropriate to classify it as a high speed chase.

AAA I'm sorry but you don't see my logic. Is it worth putting thousands of innocent peoples lives in danger and send police officers to the hospital because 2 crackheads stole a little money and a snickers bar? These girls seem to be about as sharp as a spoon and would have been found later.
You are truly clueless! Being a West Fitchburg Resident, home owner, taxpayer, I would hope that the FPD would do every thing in their power to catch these biotches...Fifteen minutes earlier my son would have been on his way to school!! I am glad he missed all this action! TY FPD!

I know that we are away from a lot of the C_R_A_P that happens here, but the value of my home is in the toilet just like everyone else!!!

Do you have more details than the paper because it didn't say a FPD cop shot her, could've been State Police.

These people may have broken the law and justice may have been served. However the person who died is someones daughter, sister, mother, aunt, and friend. Maybe this person was battling her demons she made some very poor descisions but she was a human and could have been one of your relatives.
Let's show a little compasion to her grieving family and remember this could happen to anyone of us. You can not tell what your future will bring. You can only hope for the best.

My compassion is with the cops and their families. the 9/11 terrorists had families to so does the person who killed those 4 people in Boston 2 weeks ago and we're supposed to have compassion for them, not me.

It was FPD not State Police but what does that matter she was ramming cruisers with her vehicle that in itself is a weapon I am glad that the officers or innocent people did not end up dead because of this dirt bag they had no regrets

Jazzy, at least someone has the families in mind.. sorry it was not me, my first thought was my own son that drives by that store at least 5x a day, and one of those the times is on his way to school. But I do get what you are saying, sadly, the dead woman was a daughter, or a sister or even a mom... All I can say now is that I am glad I am not her mom, daughter or sister, because that may be a very tough position with some regrets.. but I am not sorry that my son left for school early enough to miss the commotion on his way to school. What ever went down today was of her own doing and FPD is scrutinized for every move they make, I am just glad that they did what needed to be done and they were not killed or critically injured.

We have to take care of own first and foremost, and today, my son means more to me than a junkie, criminal or even an officer.. Someday that may change, if my son decides to be a cop or a junkie criminal, but today he was a kid on his way to school! So my gratitude rests with the FPD..

I understand about compassion yes she probably has a family that is grieving now but this is a life she chose this is what happens when you live a life in crimes and drugs..so please don't say the one thing I hate to hear and that is that she was turning her life around I know you didn't post that but I'm sure someone will say it..it's not an ending that police want but it was the only thing what if they didn't shoot she would have ran over the police and whoever else were on those sidewalks..no winners here just survivers

If anyone wishes to appologize for comments made about my previous posts I will accept. The picture in the T&G article only shows a fraction of the manpower wasted over a cpl. dollars. To set the record sraight the FPD did not release a statement saying the next time a kid steals some Skittles from Market Basket they may call in the National Guard.
