What's up with Cedar Street?

FITCHBURG -- A Fitchburg man was arrested Friday after he allegedly beat his wife with a folding chair and slapped his 14-year-old son in the face following an argument, according to Sgt. Glenn Fossa.

Khamjan J. Keomany, 38, of 63 Cedar St., Apt. 1, is charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery on a child with injury.

According to Fossa, when police arrived at Keomany's apartment just before 9 a.m., they were greeted by Keomany's wife, who was crying and shaking uncontrollably. She told police Keomany grabbed and pushed her down, resulting in an ankle injury, and hit her with a folding chair. Keomany also allegedly slapped their son in the face when a dispute over the son allegedly lying to him about a school issue became heated, Fossa said. He said the boy's face was swollen and red.
