We are looking for information concerning an incident at Walmart between 5-6pm May 14th in Lunenburg. This man dropped his 38 snub nose revolver upon exiting Walmart. Kevin Lynch and his friend Dave were exiting Walmart at the same time as the revolver dropped at Mr. Lynchs' feet.

If you have any information concerning the identity of this person please contact the Lunenburg police department. The person who dropped the gun is a white male approximately 51 years old. The best description would resemble Sgt Fossas build and complexion but with a tighter haircut. We are not suggesting at all that this guy is related at all to sgt. Fossa but he best fits the mans description.

The gun is a 38 snubnose revolver nickle plated. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Walmart has video cameras everywhere, even the parking lot. Have you subpoenaed their video archives?

This could simply be a case of an off duty, intoxicated cop who happened to be doing some much needed shopping over at Walmart, and he got a little careless with his weapon. I don't think that anyone has anything to worry about in this matter. Cops have been bumbling around in drunken stupors while off duty for years now. If a dangerous weapon happens to slip out of their pocket or holster from time to time we should all look the other way. After all, every last one of them is risking his or her life for us 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Plus, they are under a tremendous amount of stress.....lighten up, people....

Yeah, but I'm pretty sure it's a case of a plumber that was simply irresponsible in how he carried his hand gun. This seems to be a common problem with plumbers these days! It's slips out of the waist band when there is too much plumbers crack showing! Darn plumbers!

Ummm, how can someone be approximately 51 years old? Are you saying you know who this is? Do you want to be mayor of Lunenburg, too?

I have no idea what a 38 snub nose is but I'm sure criminals do. It might have been Dirty Harry.

I don't like shopping so I leave that to the wife she loves it. She has never had a gun fall in front of her cart when leaving. Are you sure Gomez didn't drop it in front of you to confuse you?

Oh, it happened! My guess is that the guy who fumbled the pistol is connected to a network and will not face consequences. This is typical of the area!

The guy was not apologetic at all. He was arrogant as he gave me a hard time afterwards as if I did something to him. Who knows, he may be someone who posts out here such as the guy who stated that he I need a bullet in my head.

I just don't understand how a guy can fumble a revolver that is suppose to be holstered. He was standing straight up when he fumbled it at my feet.

I have only seen one other person drop a firearm before and he was an officer that was hurdling a guardrail on 495 to assist injured in a serious disasterous car accident. At that time I pointed the handgun out to the officer as Dave was assisting the driver who was seriously injured.

So, you see, I am not a cop hater and Dave and I are actually genuinely caring individuals who will assist anyone in need that we can. We are not bad individuals are you have posted out here so often!

I agree that the guy was an idiot. He didn't apologize at all. It is on video as Walmart , the State police and Lunenburg police have the video.

The guy should contact the Lunenburg police or the State police to ID himself. I believe that they will be able to ID the guy as I believe that everyone who is issued a pistol permit has to take a picture upon the issuing of the license. They can also research who has a newer 38 Snub nose revolver. I would first cross reference all local police officers. I would then look at all the latest issued licenses first as it just may be a newly issued permit as you would hope that all others would be accustom to properly securing their weapon.

The pistol hit the floor hard as I was upset that being a 38 revolver with a hammer that it could have been triggered by such a fall. Some say that a new 38 revolver has a safety mechanism to prevent such a discharge but after the incident in Worcester court where the FPD officer had a handfull of bullets in a baggy that was set off by the bullets hitting into each other as he walked I don't trust any supposed safety.

My initial guess is that this guy may have been going to either threaten me in the doorway of Walmart before he fumbled the gun and or he was contemplating on rtobbing the place but got nervous. Whatever the situation this man needs to have his gun taken away until he attends classes concerning proper handling of a weapon.

What comes to mind is the Zimmerman case. Is this guy some whack job who has fed into all the BS that you people have spread about me out here? In the Zimmerman case he stated that he was first beaten, slammed to the ground and his weapon didn't fall out.

If this incident was an accident then it still needs to be addressed; what if some young gang banger picked this revolver up and stole it? What if a kid picked it up and shot his mother or another innocent bystander.

I need to be concerned as a few whack jobs out here have made statements that they wouldn't hesitate to shoot me as some have even threatened to do so. The scary part is that these people claim to be either have been an officer, are friends or family of an officer, are an EMT and/or a firefighter or a civil service supporter. In other words the Zimmermans' of society who do not hesitate in labeling people that they do not know!!

This is why people dont like you Lynch. A normal person would say "Hey buddy you dropped your gun" but not you and by now I'm sure you have sent letters to the police, Mayor, FBI, the Governor etc. My 6 year old nephew has a cap gun that fits the description, maybe he should be brought in for questioning?
