Congregants 'swarm' to raise kingdom hall

There are 74 comments on the Sentinel & Enterprise story from May 31, 2014, titled Congregants 'swarm' to raise kingdom hall. In it, Sentinel & Enterprise reports that:

It's like a good, old-fashioned barn raising from the old days, but this time members of the Jehovah's Witnesses are gathering to build a 6,100-square-foot kingdom hall at 1275 Central St. Church members from around New England, New York and as far as Texas started construction this week and plan to be done by June 22. More than 100 were expected ... (more)

You know I have objected to the lies she tells many times, and you know what happens, you have been there yourself. She only calls us more names and keeps on going. Why waste my time with her? Just as you have stopped, so have I. Did you object to what she said? You are still the JW aren't you? Why didn't you? could it be for the same reason I didn't? ;)
Ok...fair enough on that one.

I am now finished with this conversation. You will do what you want to, you don't really care how it looks to others, that is clear.
As long as you feel you are right and she is wrong, and you know she has left the religion of JWs, you will feel as you do.
So, you are convinced that "her brothers" and "her" are one and the same?

And we see here that you are condemning her just because she is no longer a JW. YOU DO NOT tell a person that they approved of what happened on 9/11 just because they are Muslim. This is why there is so much hate in this world right now toward Muslims, people like you are condemning them all because of the actions of a few. Read what Hmmm posted and tell me what the difference is in her comment and yours an Florida Natives, NOT ONE THING, you are all filled with hatred.
I don't agree with what Covered believes now, but she hopefully does not approve of what the terrorist did on 9/11. Maybe Covered will tell us how she feels about what took place on that day.
No, I am calling her out for the idiotic comments she made about those who help in that day and her baseless, assumed motives of them doing it.
We can see that you still give her a free pass because her idiotic comments were anti-JWs. Nothing new here.
And where did I say anything about her being Muslim?

Jesus said you will always have the poor. Did Jesus mean don't help anyone poor? Or did he mean seek first the kingdom. Mt 6:33. From the time Adam sold mankind into sin and death there have been poor people. They are everywhere. The problem will be fixed in God's new order of things. Rev. 21:3-5

Jesus also showed how God is a great shepherd and reaches out to get a long lost sheep. So why then would not the Bible say, work hard and save your money, and give it all to the poor laying on the street? First it would never solve the problem. Why not? You have a U,N. where these people make millions of dollars to bring peace to the earth, do you see peace?

It is also to help the poor countries. Is it happening? Enough to feed everyone 27 times over but can't do it. It is called failure by the god of this systems rulers. 2 Cor. 4:3,4.

So God sends a message to all, repent and get saved. Those who tell him they are not interested will be removed. Because that will include the rich and famous and the poor, why would he have his people give up their money and then not be able to do his will. It entails far more than handing out a magazine. They are entrusted with life giving waters everlasting life.

Beats giving a burger full of saw dust and MSG to a homeless one doesn't it?

Sad but as noted, Jehovah's Witness parents could care less about their children, instead of calling for change they point the finger at everyone else.
They lack the courage to stand up for their children and demand change, because then they would have no friends.
Sad but true.
Having their "friends" is more important than their children's safety/

Knock it off Karen. Your transformation is complete. Congratulations.
His terrorist buddies murdered almost 4,000 people in a few hours and he has the nerve to insult the people helping the survivors?
Oh... I forgot... He hates the Witnesses so he gets a free pass from you.
Don't worry, AuroraMom will be on here soon enough to defend him also.
You have a lot of backup to help you.
I didn't insult those who helped survivors (I said that they were kind). I did not and do not support the terrorists who killed nearly 3000 victims. I said that the organization itself is NOT inclined to do anything to help such people and that I believe that the help they offered was forced on them by the circumstances of the situation.
I also do not think that the WTS is afraid of another 9/11 because of any danger to them(another misconstruction of yours on a different post). I think that they don't like being in a position to be so visible when there IS a disaster. And NYC is increasingly vulnerable to all kinds of demonstrations and unrest (Increasing demonstrations against government, culture, financial institutions) and honestly, there is all kinds of trouble to be gotten into in NYC by the WTS workers. It is a lot easier to monitor folks in upstate NY, in a very small town/village near a very small city with what is likely no public transportation for evening out at the pub. IN fairness, there is no reason to live in NYC for the WTS. It is expensive, and as they downsize increasingly, they don't need the square footage or the location anymore.

I admit, I have issues with the WTS. I don't trust it as far as I can throw it. I think they are up to something 'organizationally'. The corporate motivation I believe is corrupt because of the ways that they have been manipulating their progressive revelation to serve itself with logic, reason and common sense disregarded as so much dross.

OTOH, I think that most JWs have good motivations or at least normal ones. Even if it is to go along and get along with something that doesn't make sense to them.(Like many people in many faiths-including my own). I know real JWs and I don't think they are filled with bad guys (although I do think their system sets up bad guys to get away with crap)

My hope-that all that extra excess income from the sales and from the new donation arrangement actually, somehow, benefits some human beings. I really doubt it-so far, I don't see how having a decent hall to meet in is particularly wonderful for people who are crossing crocodile infested rivers twice a week to get to them. I am looking forward to seeing how it all shakes out. I hope things are as aboveboard as many JWs online seem to believe. I'm not holding my breath, but one lives in hope, right?

I am sure all that happened.
So, after 9-11, you decided to go to a JW only site (reading allowed, no posting) and saw the posts (still confused by that one) of all of these heartless Witnesses saying these awful things
ok Auroram.... Um... Red.
Oh, it happened. Yes, I was curious to see what JWs were saying about the incident. Big Ray had been one of the moderators on Obed Fernandez' forum before Obed woke up and left the JWs. When Obed closed down his JW-only forum, Big Ray opened his own, and he allowed non-JWs there to read only, but to be a member and post, you had to prove that you were an active JW.

Sooooo...since I knew about the forum and knew that only JWs were posting there, I occasionally stopped by to read the posts (frequently there were long discussions about what was in their liquor cabinets, or what was the color of their toilet seats.)

I don't know what's so confusing for you. If a forum requires certain things for a person to become a member and post, they still are often open for non-members to read. There are many forums out there like that. Frequently, if you do a Google search on a topic, it will take you to a forum where you can read information, but you need to join as a member in order to post. For someone who claims to be in IT, I would think that you would be aware of that.

And, as I stated, until one of the posters was contacted by an ex-JW and told how disgusting their posts sounded, they were all just SO excited by 9/11. "Thrilled and excited" were frequently seen in posts that day and for several days after that.

I know you don't like it because you try to show how compassionate and caring (cough, cough) JWs are, but, in truth, tragedies are the chocolate sauce on their ice cream. They just LOVE tragedies because they think that those tragedies portend the start of Armageddon, and, in their selfish little minds, their own salvation and the slaughter of all those nasty apostates and worldly people.

Not a nice group at all.

Its sad the Watchtower looks at practical, physical help of fellow humans in an prganised way as showing a lack of faith in God's promises. They brag they are the reincarnation of original Christianity, yet,the only time a collection was recorded was to help the churches in Jerusalem suffering from famine. Lord knows what they are setting up the new donation arrangement for,but I can guarantee it is not to help anyone in dire straits, except their organization.

Jehovah's Witnesses suffer from very high rates of depression.
Not surprising, when your every belief revolves around hate and destruction, though.
Was Florida even a JW then?
I have seen very little from JWs who were at the time.
Just like 1975, Florida tends to be an expert on things he has had zero exposure to, and did not experience.
Not surprising he was drawn to an idiotic cult like the Jehovah's witnesses, they don't exactly attract the brightest bulbs in the tanning bed by any means.

Why would they ever help anyone in dire straits? Not even their own "brothers and sisters"?
The evil demon jehovah does not want this, he wants all funds to go directly into the pockets of the WBTS.
He is quite the little imaginary friend that jehovah, and a greedy one at that.

Most Jehovah's Witnesses have some sort of mental illness.
Not sure if he has PTSD, but it is obvious by his posts that he DOES have a personality disorder, has a ton of anger towards women, and a huge chip on his scrawny shoulder.
The fact he needs to carry a handgun ( to prove he is a real man), is very scary.
Not surprising that now that Jehovah's Witnesses are embracing handguns that these loses are making headline after headline of shooting and murdering women, is it?
I fear most for his wife.
God forbid she ever actually have an opinion of her own.
