It would be wonderful! Bergeron should have already retired, he is overdue! City needs to get rid of him, everything he says is a lie, and the entire force will tell you so. He is what you call a floater, goes where the wave is at the time. There are SO many guys that would love to come out and testify against these boys it isn't even funny. There is a problem that is real that these folks really have. They went thru years & years of torment from these good ole boys, some left with medical conditions from work related stress. I believe they should be given the opportunity to stand before there terriorists and let the powers that be know what they personally went thru and saw other officers & residents go thru. I truly believe that will be the brightest day of all.

So what is good for the goose is good for the gander DeMoura admitted to doing the EXACT same thing when questioned by Mr. Joyce. Wong was not there for the entire hearing, the labor lawyer probably hasn't even put the hearing report together, Donovan didn't even interview the witnesses and she fires him the next day? I call this a total witch hunt.

Take a look at a few of the fencing operations in Fitchburg that had a hand in Tasca's pocket: The Pawnbroker--The Log Cabin--Sam & Friends.

Cops are a priviliged group, they are entitled to high wages, early retirement, new police stations, unlimited time off with pay and if they are fired, they are then entitled to all their back pay to the day they first committed the crime that led to their firing....and at the end of it all they get the big kiss in the mail every month until the day they die...all this for a job that has no low end off in IQ and requires no thought or ability....thank god for the taxpayer....or these guys would be working at K Mart.....all these police shenanigans while the crime rate soared and soared and soared and the crooks took over the city and the cops became the crooks...cops own bad bars in this city, cops get into drunken fatal car crashes in this city with no punishment, cops get into bar brawls, abuse children and abuse their wives and girlfriends, cops pretty much do what they want, when they want and get paid double for it...all in the City of Fitchburg, where crime is not a crime and who cares if the heroin trade runs the city

Chris, I'm sure you are a very nice person. In many ways that has always been the problem. No one could ever believe that a police department could be controlled by such a corrupt group as Tasca, Gallant and Louney. You organize the major component of your argument around Tasca's sick daughter but don't be misled. The psychopath is clever and ruthless. Take it from someone who knew these men for many years. Charlie Tasca never took time off for any reason that didn't have to do with his own selfish agenda. No one had any idea about his daughter until he used her problem to escape from his own. He has used his daughter to garner sympathy from decent people like yourself which makes me and should make you realize what an inherently bad person he is. The naivety of others has always been his greatest weapon..........

Keep the stream roller going, you need to go back and get Looney, Gallant, Richards and then move on the present day folks like Kearns, Fossa, Pappas, Bergeron, O'Brien, Martineau, Swears & Simos. Try a simple search of Fitchburg District Court for there names, small gold mine there. Don't worry about Charlie he was already a millionaire before this from an inheritance, maybe the city should levy it!
Dear Suzie Q...

You seem to know a lot about the FPD and its employees...you have mentioned in your comment many names and alledged misconduct on their behalf...if you are correct in your comments, there should be an investigation, but if you are not correct and you have put these oficers names out in the public view, you could be sued...one must be careful what one puts in writing...could come back to bite one and that would be very expensive...

Who are you people who write to these boards naming names and making accusations ? Where do you get your information ? Is it all heresay, because if it is not, you have very important information and you should go to the the proper authorities with it so that it can be addressed. You have stated Officers names, crimes committed, and added your two cents worth, and this is not the place to make these announcements if in fact any of it is true. As far as any Police Officer, whether Fitchburg or not, owning other businesses, I would like to ask WHO are you to say this is wrong ? It really should not have any bearing on their job as a Police Officer whether they own a bar, a clothing store, or a hardware store. Now IF you find that when you call these Officers for assistance and they are NOT responding, well then I think anyone would agree there is a problem. And again if you "KNOW" so much about the good ole boys you speak of, take it off these boards and do something constructive with your oh so important information, otherwise S*T*F*U.

1st - you need spell check!

2nd - The fact that his daughter has cancer has nothing to do with him using with imaginary comp time. Many of us face problems of this nature and magnitude daily, and although it does suck for all of us, any other employer would do the same if warranted.

I did not know it took "years" to get a reaction from the proper people. With information of this caliber I would think that once given to the right people it would be acted on much more quickly.

The Mayor and ciota have direct lines to the FBI and the justice department. I believe that they have to inform them of this situation with the books as a matter of law and justice.
It would be in the best interest of the Mayor and the citizens of Fitchburg to move this entire investigation into the hands of the federal government whom I believe have jurisdiction in these matters.

Before the mayor is able to request a federal audit she needed to do what she has done in the hiring of an investigator. There now is probable cause for the Federal Bureau of Investigations to move in. The Justice Department needs to be made aware of all the facts!

Dear AOL: Tasca was just one result. Already people are threatening lawsuits and "what about the book keeper". The Mayor is intelligent and has handled this entire thing extremely well. During the investigation Tasca has revealed information that suggested "Serious" illegal action. Tasca was fired; there is much worse coming out of all this than Tasca.
The Mayors next step through Ciota is presenting the probable cause to the FBI and the Justice Department. They have no choice, it is protocol. These agencies have the resources and expertise in dealing with "cooking of the books" and other crimes that involve government agencies.
The Mayors part is done.Tascas attorney and himself have threatened lawsuit; it is now in the best interest of the city and the Mayor to turn it over to the proper authorities. These cases are not handled in District court.
I may not express myself as an attornet would be better equiped to do but I do know that the next step is the FBI and the justice Department. Go to the FBI Boston site and click on the left links that read "What we investigate" http://www.fbi.gov/hq.htm
The Justice Department is needed. They fired Tasca and Ciota stated "it is Larceny". The local DA doesn't deal with this case, it is the Justice Department. Go to their site :http://www.justice.gov/.

When did Fitchburg, the former All American City turned into Revere? And how do I sell my house without getting ----------over financially?
Let me see if I have this right,
the top cops are criminals, no money for street lights, library only opened a few hours a week, highest rates /utility company in the country, rotten roads, gun fights in neighborhoods, taxes and fees rising.
Have we reached bottom yet?

The early bird gets the worm. Criminal charges are next. Start singing brother!! Louney,Kearns,Gallant,Tasca and three others!!!
Who will sing first to the justice department?? After reading your testimony; Tasca you need to get your attorney busy calling the Justice Department with a plea deal!
Criminal charges are looming! How in the world could you state to anyone that you kept track of the hours in your head! Your testimony today alone has Louney,Kearns,Gallant and others hiring attorneys!
You are dangerous when you speak. I hope everyone sees that they were so use to stealing and acting above the love that they felt the were permitted to steal as they were the leaders!"The, who is going to do anything to us?We are the police! Not only police but the Brass."
Could you please point out the three others? I'd really be interested in knowing....
