Speaking out about free speech
Those were the types of questions tackled in a panel discussion on censorship at the Fitchburg Historical Society Wednesday night.

We have the worst record for denying our citizens freedom of speech rights.
Antonucci had a student thrown in prison on Christmas eve because he was different. Then he invites a former student who was run out of the city for expressing the importance of freedom of speech.
Just last night his cohorts had me barred from expressing my freedom of speech as the moderator told me it was political.
This city has the worst record in the state of Massachusetts. We just saw a 5% voter turnout. In a financial crises Fitchburg has 1 city council debate scheduled where we will have a total of three minutes to speak.
Lets be honest in order to move this conversation forward!

Antonucci and the Sentinel spoke on "freedom of speech?" OMG!!!!!!
All they were missing is the third one ,Mayor Wong. Mayor Wong when I was running against her attempted to have me jailed for my right to express freedom of speech concerning my filing of a complaint.
4 criminal charges were placed and my attorney argued my right pertaining to freedom of speech and was able to have them dismissed before arraignment which would of automatically imprisioned me for 60 days!
And Antonucci? I don't know where to begin. This man is behind barring freedom of speech. He had me barred from all political events at the University because I wished him to have a miserable Christmas after he unjustly fired my brother because he was my brother.
And the Sentinel? This editor has done injustice to democracy in regards to freedom of speech. He refused to allow me to reply to accusations made by the Chief Demoura during an election.
The Sentinel, Antonucci and Mayor Wong is what has hurt freedom of speech in Fitchburg. They control freedom of speech like no other city.
Shame on them.

You have the absolute freedom of speech. However, you are not guaranteed a medium or venue for that speech. Stand on your front porch and speak the half-witted nonsense you want, nobody is going to shut you down. Go on someone else's Facebook page and then you need to abide by their rules. And no one is stopping you from creating your own Facebook page and posting your thoughts there? Are they? Why is "The Real Fitchburg" Facebook page the only page you can go on to post your nonsense? Start your own page and, if people find your nonsense interesting, you'll create a following. I'm not a Facebook person, I think it's best left to the teenage and college crowd, but I find it funny that you're whining like a child because the creator of that page kicked you out because you were acting like an idiot.

Everyone has the right of free speech but there are consequences for what you say. Freedom of speech does not mean you can break the rules at any given time. Go to a Red Sox game and start ranting about your ideas. You have the right to do so. But the Red Sox organization has the right to remove you for disturbing the peace for other fans.
Freedom of speech is the political right to communicate one's opinions and ideas using one's body and property to anyone who is willing to receive them. If it isn’t your own property or medium and people do not want to hear you then you are violating other people’s right of a peaceful assembly. That is a felony !
The freedom of speech has limitations limitations, such as with libel, slander, obscenity, sedition (including, for example inciting ethnic hatred), copyright violation, revelation of information that is classified or otherwise. These laws cannot be broken thru free speech.
If I stood on the sidewalk in front of your own house and ranted about you being crazy then you would have me removed. This is the same as you ranting about the police or your political ideas in a non-political setting.
Sorry you lose. You need to learn the laws.
Freedom laws also have laws that keep them in check. This is in order to protect the lives of other people. You can run for Mayor because that is your right and freedom but you cannot hold the position because the law states a convicted felon cannot oversee any law enforcement agency.

You cannot violate the rights of other people thru free speech. You cannot use a public or private entity for free speech if your speech does not conform to the main topic of that meeting or assembly. You are breaking the laws of a peaceful assembly.
You cannot use slanderous talk.
You have the freedom of speech only thru your own property that you own or have permission to use. An example is the “police billboard”. But it cannot have slander. It can only make a statement but not slander a person or entity.
You see people have the right NOT to listen to you. You cannot violate my rights if I go to a meeting or assembly and expect to hear a predetermined topic and instead HAVE to listen to you especially if it has any kind of slander ! That is against the law. It is a felony.
If you were completely protected by free speech and slander and everyone did what you did then all public and private meetings everyone would have to walk out and leave. This is why there are laws to protect Free Speech from becoming what it is not intended for.
Say anything you want as long it is thru your own medium and it does not accuse anyone of something or slander anyone. Even if it is your own website if it contains wording that you cannot prove 100% then you can still be sued because of slander.

What is happening to Lynch is that he mistakes PERSONAL disapproval for a rejection of free speech.
In free societies, people have the right to say hateful things. BUT those offended also have laws and the right to oppose and condemn them and to use those laws to have the offender removed.
If Lynch showed up at my daughter’s dance recital at Memorial school holding a sign that stated “stop the corruption in Fitchburg”. He is protected under Freedom of Speech. Because he Freedom of Speech is freedom of the “written language” which people have the option of ignoring and not reading. Freedom of Speech does not protect the spoken language which most people do not understand.
The sign Lynch holds in the back of the auditorium also did not state a person or an entity. Just a city as a whole. So it was not slander.
Now if he held a sign saying the Fitchburg police are corrupt. Then that is slander and he can be removed. IF he did not hold a sign and started ranting and speaking then that is against the peaceful assembly laws.
Because I do not have the option of not listening to him where if it was a sign he is holding I have the option of not reading. Also even though it is a public building he is breaking the law of peaceful assembly because his speech does not pertain to what the assembly is for and that is a dance recital.

Talking to Lynch is like talking to a 5 year old. He cannot grasp the concept of the laws in our country.
Lynch feels that our country’s freedoms allow him to bypass and break the laws of our country that protect people. Freedom of Speech is not a pass to break the law.
Whenever Lynch is detained, removed, banned or arrested for ranting and raving he feels his civil rights and Freedom of Speech have been violated. What he doesn’t understand it was NOT his speech that had him removed but his ACTIONS !
He can rant and rave all he wants to but he cannot break the laws. These laws protect people from other people that disturb the peace and disturb a peaceful assembly. He was not removed and banned because of his ranting and raving he was removed for breaking our laws.
Laws protect me from people like Lynch. What if I do not want to hear Lynch speak? What are my rights? I will invoke my country’s laws to have him arrested.
There are many laws that our Freedom acts cannot protect us from and that is good. People have the freedom to express themselves such as a student wearing a belt with bullets. But when that student wears that to a college he is disturbing the peace because other students become scared. He broke the law. The college did not want to make this a national event so they did not pursue any further action which costs time and money.
For example: lets say there is this individual wearing a fake vest with fake grenades and fake bullets with fake guns and dressed in all black with a ski mask. He enters a Cumberland Farms at 1 am. Yes he has the right to express himself but he is breaking the laws of disturbing the peace. He is scaring the clerk and could be a robber. He will be arrested.
Lynch has the right to start his own web page and place as many signs in his front yard for Freedom of Speech. But Freedom of Speech does not cover Lynch if he rants and raves on property he does not own even if it is public property because then he is violating my rights and breaking the laws that protect me.
If he wants to be heard at a meeting or assembly he must rent a hall or auditorium and post what the agenda will be. Then he has the right to rant and rave to whoever shows up because they know ahead of time what the subject matter is. People have the option to go to his meeting or not to go.
He cannot disrupt an organized meeting that the topic has been set and a moderator is sponsoring the event. He would be breaking the peaceful assembly laws. If Lynch showed up he is violating the right of people there because they do not have the option of NOT listening to him if they wanted to. He is FORCING his ideas on people. That is also disturbing the peace.

#10 Oct 19, 2013
Leave Jtn alone, leave lynch alone. They are both taxpayers and we need the $.
#11 Oct 19, 2013
Happy April fools day fool, you know who you are
#12 Oct 19, 2013
I'll be honest. It only takes the city council one minute of listening to you blabber on with your bullshit and the meeting is over. Yes the country does have a financial crisis. Do you think having more city council meetings so you can talk and state the obvious is needed? Your idiocy holds no bounds. Do you think having these meetings is free?
#13 Oct 19, 2013
No one wants to hear you speak. You sound like a special needs student? What was it? Paint chips as a kid? You mom drink while you were in utero? Take a lot of blows to the head as a kid?
Give us something because you're one of the dumbest people on Topix.

you must be a woman ,yu go gurl
#15 Oct 19, 2013
You are the idiot! I started a topic and people liked what I had to say and I received emails. This was the problem for the trouble making bitch and her little group of friends.
She is a trouble making bitch and take a look at her friends list! Mostly trouble makers!!
#16 Oct 19, 2013
What happened was a few coward trouble makers sent messages to their trouble making friends and protested with a copied and pasted message.
They are the cowards as they cannot take it when I show them up all the time.
They do not live in Fitchburg. Karma will come into their lives for being so EVIL!!!!
Not one of them could come up with any idea!! They are all followers.
This is normal for Fitchburg insiders just ask their coworkers.
Their cronies in the fPD and city jobs fucked everything up and they know it!
We have Dean Tran promising everyone that he will only vote to raise your taxes by 2.25% every year for the next five as apposed to 2.5% which is the cap.
Is this the biggest idea that they all have ? Come on already!!!!
Oh, and he wants to hire an economic manager! LMAO.
Really? With a business tax rate at $27 per thousand while Leominster has a $17 per thousand and Dean wants to raise it again for the next five years!
Does he think that potential business leaders do not know how to write a business plan and to run successful businesses???
Shit, and Dean Tran is the most conservative member???
These councilors have been in there for multiple years with Tran being there I believe since 2005.
So in 8 years he watched our city reach its Levy ceiling? While roads failed and became neglected??
Now we just had the fPD post a billboard. This should attract businesses and new residents!!!
The gang bangers are proud of that sign!

What the hell are you ranting about? For 3 bucks you could buy some rope. By the way I looked at Daves Facebook and your dogs deserve better.
#18 Oct 19, 2013
I have been struggling with disabilities. I have a past record. If I had money to properly run a campaign then I would be elected.
The people of Fitchburg need to stand up and vote in order to remove the good ole boys from their positions where they have done nothing but rubber stamp everything and left every citizen to hold the bag!!!!!!
This city council has not done ONE single thing for the citizens of Fitchburg. They need the fire put to their feet.
People are beyond feeling disrespected by the good ole boy network. We just had a 5% turnout at the polls.
The people in Fitchburg have lost faith in the city council and the mayor. Many do not trust the police because of its past.

Simple question business guru. How many businesses do you currently own? And NO Kev and Daves yard sale doesn't count.
#20 Oct 19, 2013
