At present property taxes are close to $30,000 over 10 years. Property values are 50% what they were just 5 years ago. The total taxes owed are the same. I don't know how they were able to legally raise the percentage. It has to be funny math.

If they continue to rise I see another foreclosure crises in Fitchburg. Water and Sewer is $1,500 a year. Of course they are raking it in.

No they are not, in 2007, they were astronomically and fictitiously higher because of all the trading up and betting on property. They took a big hit, down to something like 75% REAL value, and are now close to what they should have been in 2010 and slowly catching up to gains.

If you want to make arguments, make sure you don't have a disqualifier in YOUR math!

I can agree with this statement. I agree that values were fictitiously higher in 07. This is fact. Many things in America went this route including salaries and dividends of the wealthy.

I am not jealous of the wealthy and I feel that the American dream should be protected but this isn't the case as it has been manipulation of every market place.

We got to a point where they could advertise speculation of future rises in gas prices without anything effecting that market such as storm damage to that infrastructure ect.

I agree with a lot that you have to say, I am just saying it differently.

Our entire system is filled with nepotism to the point that it is used and abused for personal gain.

I am an independent; recently Cahill was offered a deal by our attorney general. If I remember correctly it was $100,000 in trade she dropped the charges and agreed not to recharge him. It seems like everything is going this way and now done right out in front of the general public to see.

Our politicians are becoming lobbyist.
