He might be innocent of this rape and he wasn't going for being charged with such a horrible crime. I would like to know more. It appears that these officers may have seriouysly provoked him.

People can be pushed to the limit by over eager disrespectful police. I don't know if this is the case here but we will need more info. The State police usually ditch all the evidence against them.

If I were to guess, they threw the guy into the wall and the kid reacted. This case sounds like a reaction to a physical move that the police made.

Something doesn't sound right here! The State Police has a extremely biased Internal affairs that will not cooperate with the public so my guess is this kid should just file a civil action suit if he was wronged immediately!

Skip the Internal Investigation as it is bogus in this department. I am curious now to learn more. This kid didn't just attack three inshape state troopers at this barracks.

This barracks is known for their disrespect, rudeness and abuse of power.

You could be right on, but in any case the kid should have clammed up and demanded his lawyer.
If he is innocent, then he can file a civil suit when all the facts are in.
If the state police are guilty of provoking him into a confession out of fear for his safety, then they should be fired immediately with no possibility of reinstatement.
This is America, not the KGB, and should never, ever be tolerated.
Any time a suspect is being questioned for a serious offense, the proceedings are generally taped, and should be made available for viewing by an independant review.

So the cops were wrong again huh? So they investigate this and they tell the guy he i under arrest for child rape.

He starts fighting with the troopers, so should the troopers just back off and get their butts kicked. Or should they be able to defend themselves against some animal who is fighting with them.

People think that everything involving the police is a cover up. It is the liberal mentality of this state is what the problem is.

So if this guy gets convicted of raping a kid, assaulting cops, he will probaly get six months in this state.

It appears that some people think that there should not be police in this country and everything would be ok. I would like to see what happens if the government announced that for a period of 2 weeks there would be no law enforcement in this state.

So all you liberals, when someone is breaking into your house to violate a family member, robs you, beat the snot out of you....What are you gonna do?

The answer is ..........curl up in a ball and be victimized.

I have know this person for many years and I really hope that they lock him up and throw away the key this kid is sick, violent and deprived.
He has had various mental health issues over the years and when people have tried to find help for him he hides behind his Mother and his brother Richard since they think nothing is wrong with him takes him off his meds and out of programs. I blame them as much as I do him for all of whats happening now. This person is sick and very, very violent and should not be on the streets. Anything would have set him of. He has hurt many people in his own family with his violence. So I'm not shocked that he got violent with the officers. You could be talking to him one minute and the next have him choking you.
I'm sadden that it takes all of this to get him of the streets and my hart go's out to the person and here family for the pain he has caused them.
Maybe now he will get the help he so badly needs and there will be nothing that his mother or brother can do to stop it. I'm just sad they can't lock up those two as well since there no better then him.

I don't think anybody is blaming the cops for anything, yet.
Like I said, most of the time there are camera's present, and any interviews are generally tapes and time stamped.
lets get all the facts straight, and let the chips fall where they "belong".

I take offense to posters here referring to the accused as a kid. He is no kid. He is an adult.

I, too, have known him for a very long time. He is not well and never has been. For the brief periods that he was actually on his medications were the only times he was remotely normal and making attempts to better his life. Sadly he allows those closest in his family and life to influence him and convince him that he is fine. As a result of this he goes on and off those medications on fairly regular basis without an okay from a doctor and with the opinions from individuals that last time I checked do not have a degree or possess the appropriate medical knowledge that comes with his disorders and the effects of abruptly stopping medications. It's unfortunate that it took these horrendous acts for someone to recognize that there was a problem with him and it's even more unfortunate that he had an opportunity to be helped early on but was denied that help because his mother sees him through rose colored glasses and can't possibly admit that this whole thing is her fault.

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooh. How dare you fine him an unaffordable amount of $500 for assaulting and battering 3 law enforcement officers. Wow. That is cruel and unusual punishment.

Staties were probably taunting and provoking. They are in a position of power and often use it. or maybe they are still upset that one of there brothers went to prison for trying to meet and have sex with an underage boy.

I too have known Jon and went to school with him and although his mental illness was a clear issue his mother is a self centered moron and older brother impregnates girls and leaves them to plant his seed elsewhere the only sane one of the bumch is the sister. Its no wonder such a tragedy has happened when your family moral is below a trash can, Jon has always been polite and its for a judge and mental health professionals to decide his fate but I do think that State police acting like victim when beating on a suspected rapist is shameless we have a consitution who holds this malicious pigs accountable. Where is there Law enforcement I know Jhon well enough to know off his medications hes capable of many things but not crazy enough to take on four state officers in there own house. Its crap and someone needs to repremand these uniformed pigs who dont respect the consittution and the bill of rights! Innocent til proven guilty, right to an attorney, all this seems fishy. Shame on the Police, SHame on the family and the health professions who scream criminal when they created the monster by passing the buck its just another case of Mass shorting on mental health care and another innocent person harmed in the process.
