That is why MA should make it easier for people to carry firearms. If all responsible people could carry weapons these attacks wouldn't happen or these low lives would be shot and killed. Sure their friends would come out and say they were good people but there would be two less maggots on the planet!!!
You are an idiot...or perhaps you could twist it and assume this delivery guy would have been shot, instead of beaten.
Let's see....look at all the stupid people living in this city....you think it's a good idea to arm them as well?????

It really is:

+ you need the safety course which costs money
+ you need the $100 app fee
+ you need to actually get a lic appointment which is one day per month these days
+ you need to jump thru hoops that the local PD sets up. Like notarized reference letters, doctors notes, proof of sportsman club membership, letter stating why you want it, etc. All this is against the law but they do it anyway.
+ Once the application is in expect to wait 40-60 days
+ THEN....you may get an LTC that allows you to carry. Many PD's will issue LTC's with restrictions that wont allow conceal carry.

Its a total pain in the ass!!!

It really isn't - you just need $75 for the safety course and $100 for the license. It isn't difficult to obtain.

Advice to anyone in crapburg. Owning a gun is a great idea, however it is beyond the means of some. Also it takes time and practice to be a proficient shooter. In this comunist state actually getting a LTC is a real pain in the ****. This guy got jumped from behind so a gun would probably been a liability.
A great alternative is to carry pepper spray. Visit your local PD and obtain a permit to carry pepper spray. It will cost you $25 and everyone is eligible for one. A can of pepper spray will run you about $10 and can give you the extra seconds needed to escape from a scumbag.
Unlike guns, there is little risk of prosecution and/or getting sued should you ever have to use it. It does have its drawbacks, but its something you can do without a large expense or jumping thru lots of hoops.
the cost is $100.00 and the spray is over #$20.

although fitchburg may be a lot tougher than other towns, and i agree, you will probably only get one for sporting and target, which limits you to when you can carry

No one should travel alone in Fitchburg, especially if you may have money on you. Even Pizza delivery people will have to travel in pairs just to be safe.

Let's turn off more street lights and lay off more police officers, that should help

the reason they were paying for the pizza in quarters is because these are the two low lifes that have been plaquing our neighborhood breaking into cars to steal change. it's about time they were caught. they target rural areas of the city. and why the heck are criminals from uxbridge comning to fitchburg to prey on us. oh yeah, now i remember. we turned off all the street lights, cut our police force so much that they can barely respond to emergencies, let alone small burglaries, etc. then reported these situations in the news so other areas know this is a great place to be a criminal. i'm out of this town as soon as i can. it's getting too dangerous to live here - even in the peaceful rural areas.

I work with this man, most sweetest guy, I worked that day but alittle later after this happened and I couldn't believe it, his sister called saying he was at the hospital and had a head injury, we were all scared for him, and he was telling me the whole story yesterday.... he's a great man and I'm glad he's alright. And those guys should seriously get charged with attempted murderer, if Roy didn't get up and fight back, I think they seriously would have killed him, the sad fact is I don't even think they were looking for money or anything, cause they could have easily stole his car when he was out, and he still has all his money, they weren't looking for money they were looking to kill this guy.

You really believe that this man was attacked because the street light was out? Wake up.

If you are going to beat-up a pizza delivery man it should be done with a big, long and hard pepperoni. Extra spicy, of course.
