Captain Tasca has admitted to using "comp time from 2001", not your regular handout comp but this is "off the books comp that he feels that he is owed and only he kept track of them".
When you have captains stated that they illegally used this "off the books comp" instead of the "on the books comp" is illegal, illegal.illegal!
For the past ten years Captain Tasca has been doing nothing in terms of work. The crime around the direct streets to the station are crime riden.
All this while he is using "off the books comp" from "2001" instead of personal days from 2009??
I don't care if the mayor signed off on these illegal activities. There is no covering up this bull!!
How many retired Captains of the Fitchburg police department had their own kept book detailing "off the books comp time".This is robbery.
We need a federal investigation so they can uncover this illegal operation and make them repay this money.Kearns must of had a great christmas this year. I bet he was laughing all the way to the bank!!This is an outrage!!Call your senator Flanagan and report this happening to the FBI web site along with the attorney generals office.
The FBI needs to come in and take over the city. This is a widespread corruption. As we seen this week they do a better job at arresting 16 crack dealers than the FPD. Our police department is too busy sitting in their offices and updating their little black books where they keep record of their"off the books comp".
Enough is Enough. This is beyond a mayor wong and a chief Demoura who may have a black book also!!

I am hardly on this site at all, well quite frankly because I have a life and am busy, but this is like the 4th time that I've seen you do this.
Once here, once on the thread where you were letting people believe that you were an attorney, which you clearly are not.
Seriously guy, you need a hobby or at least some factual data if you're going to put yourself out there on the internet. To anyone who has half an education and common sense, you just look like an angry fool.
You claim that I am making up statistics. Let the record stand; I ONLY USE FACTUAL DATA! If you have a problem with any statistic that I have used; point it out. I know that I can defend it; because all my info is 100% accurate! You are the one spewing garbage; you try to challenge my data but you do not get specific about what you are challenging.

And, I never claimed to be an attorney> One of you dimwits starting thinking that I was an attorney and mentioned it on Topix Forum. Not me!

I'm just having some fun with someone who feels it's his or her right to hide behind trees and toss rocks at people.
Why bring up hearsay about someone if you did not want to ruin that person's reputation? If this is about Charlie, take Darn Tootin' to task for bringing up hearsay that an active member of the dept. deals steroids.
This forum is abused. Imagine if half of what "Darn Tootin" says about Fitchburg cops ISN'T true. and you were a victim's relative of the smear-let's say someone's mom, or wife, or daughter, son, and you read about your dad on this board. How would that make you feel? "Darn Tootin'" is on a crusade-OCD driven, and doesn't care who he or she leaves behind in his or her wake... Empathy and humility are virtues. Where's his or hers?
I personally think half of the cops are first class diks. I've heard "stories" about some that would make anyone's hair stand on end. Sharing them would be my right-but what "good" does it do? It's legal, but is it right? Because I hate Officer Bob, it's my "right" to post whatever I want? This preoccupation with law eforment is driven by misinformation and DISinformation. It's a disservice to the community and just serves to keep a down-and-out community just that... Down and out. It's also unfair to the civil servants I know who are excellent cops, correction officers, and firefighters.
I don't make ANYTHING up. If someone is being dragged through the mud; they brought it upon themselves. The solution is very simple: No matter who you are (including a cop), keep your nose clean. If you do, no one can sling any mud in your direction.

If you want to save your family the embarrassment of seeing Daddy the Cop getting a verbal bashing on Topix Forum, simply keep your fingers out of any poopie pies. Because once the crust gets broken, and all that poop starts getting the publics attention, I will be right here and right on top of it. It is my contribution to the community.

Yes, you're absolutely right. Everything you say about every police officer is true. Your posts are always correct, factual, and meaningful. Your prose is wisdom-filled and witty. We all owe you a GREAT debt of gratitude for contributing so much to the community. If everybody just believed what you said, and did what you suggested, we'd all be so much better off.

SO just take the test. If not, why not? Just for fun!!!

Looking forward to your score!

PS. Oh yeah, this whas a thread about Charlie. Just to keep it on track, Charlie sux, Chuckie sux, Joel sux, etc.

WHOA, Whoa, whoa.......
Not so fast! Chuck gets many extra perks that go along with being a Fitchburg cop that help him out in his other enterprises. His Customers over at JR's get to perform illegal burnouts and drive at excessive speeds over on North Street. Stuff that would land you or I in jail. And, he also has the benefit of parking illegally on Snow Street (it IS a no parking area) that he and his Customers enjoy on a regualar basis. And, he gets the illegal parking on the Fire Station sidewalk for his Customers who ride motorcycles. And, his Customers are able to cross North Street with open containers of alcohol as they go to view the illegally parked motorcycles. He gets to ignore the noise ordinances with both his loud music and the loud mufflers of his Customers with absolutely no negative repercussions. And, as you pointed out; he gets to routionely check in with his bar while on duty; thereby bilking the Taxpayers of Fitchburg out of a fair nights work. All of these things would cease and end if he was no longer a cop. You cannot possibly do that to him. Jeeze; if that happened; he would be forced into playing by the same exact rules as the common man. Again, it would be a terrible thing to do to him.
Besides that; a previous Poster on another link claimed that Chuck was once caught for selling illegal steroids. If this is true; he was able to skirt having any charges brought against him because of being a Fitchburg cop.
All of this would end for him if he was no longer a cop. Again, that would be a terrible thing to do to this man.........
The Tasca Chronicles will end up being a blockbuster. It has all the elements.

Unlike Fireman Fitchburg Police Officers are agents of the License Commission, which means they enforce the liquor laws. Police officers have no right Policing themselves. Example : Chucky Simos keeps people drinking in his bar untill 3-4 in the morning with all cops in there, serves underage girls booze, who comes along and says your suppose to be closed by 2:00 or your serving minors. No One. And Fireman don't carry Guns and have the power to throw people in jail . How can you compare the two ?

The Mayor and the City of Fitchburg Law Department initiated an articulate professional review of of the total operational efficiency of the Fitchburg Police Department by an outside entity. The Police Department administrators are charged with the responsibilty of cooperating with and facilitating the the effforts of the examiners. Ethical and public trust issues demand this as a minimal response. It appears that every effort is being made to preserve the constitutional and personal privacy rights of department personnel as required by law. The lack of information made available to the media reenforces the City's intent not to compromise the interests of any person or the qality of the review. In culmination, a report giving rise to any issues of criminality, ethical dilemma, malfeasance, misfeasance, compromised public trust or organizational deficiencies will be available to the Mayor for reference in implementing appropriate remedies.

Allot of thieves would like to say sorry instead of serving time. They just sent a kid away for six months for stealing a $200 radio. Tasca admitted to stealing$3,700.00.

I do agree that no one is explaining what is going on to the public; does Fitchburg need a Federal take over is my question??

I believe our police department may be in a state of disrepair; this city needs a Federal takover. The feds can use the police station to run law enforcement efforts out of it.

I believe the Mayor and Cioti are planning for the terminations of Captains. I believe that other officers are in for pink slips. Then we can hire legitimate law enforcement.
It would be ideal to have the feds run our police station.Lay off the whole force!!

Some of you here make me sick... and god help you if you ever need a officers help -
What do you sit at your computers and just wait for something to happen so you can all come out smelling like roses.
There are good and bad people in every profession ... and there are more good than bad! Why dont you all start thinking about the positive things that officers do on a daily basis ... better yet since you want to be one so badly why dont you go take the test get a job and put on a bullet proof vest everyday on your way to work.
