He should be tested to make sure he's not retarded. He should beable to tie his own shoe laces, be under 280 pounds, be able to walk a mile carrying a hose. Check his record to make sure he's not a thief, like many of the firemen, be able to do atleast 5 pushups.

I think that it is important that our future Chief of Police to have a good sense of humor. The daily grind of being a cop can become stressful, and a good safety valve to bleed off some of that stress is a good, hearty belly laugh.
I can think of no better man for the position that our own beloved Captain Kearnes. The story goes that he once pointed a loaded revolver at a fellow officer simply as a joke and nothing more. And that, dear Readers, is the kind of "out of the box thinking" that it takes to successfully lead the team of law enforcement professions we fondly refer to as the FDP.....
