Uh, Lynch you cannot run for Mayor being on probation with a suspended sentence. You will still have to past the background checks which is mandatory to be hired as a city employee.

Sorry but at least you still have your freedom. and that is the greatest thing you can have.

Remember the police also have the most power that is given to someone. They have the power to take away your freedom.

Good Luck and please stay off this forum so you don't break the rules of your probation.

Whoa ! Wait a minute! You swore by the Sentinel as being the Holy Grail of newspapers. This is where you get all your information about the city! Hmmmmmmmmm?
Alot different being on the other side now isn't it?
Now you know why public safety employees do not talk to any newspaper or reporters. They will pick and choose only certain words or phrases and leave alot of the information out just to sell newspapers.
Anytime they call any dispatch center and ask if there is anything going on the usual answer they get is "NO".
The Sentinel will always portray any firefighter, cop or high profile person as being guilty even if there are other circumstances involved.
All newspapers and reporters are the same. The worst is the Boston Herald. Newspapers are great reading for entertainment but that is all.
I always stated that the Sentinel was biased like no other paper in the area. The editor has changed since the Tasca matters. The new editor chose not to investigate the Tasca and Wong agreement. The new editor gave Mayor Wong free reign to write her own stories.

The Sentinel is like a bulletin paper now as they are always slanted. Most papers in the US will investigate local government and will hold them responsible as they make sure that Democracy works. The Sentinel is more like a paper in Iran run by the government!!

I bet that this newspaper will see a new editor as the present one is biased which hurts the publics interests in making sure their are checks and balances on local government concerning the publics' interests.

I had been at odds with the Sentinel for awhile. It seems like this paper has an interests in protecting cover ups and certain peoples' interests! This will hurt the sales of newspapers as many residents will chose the Telegram and gazette for proper unbiased reporting!!

I cannot speak in reference to the facts of the case but I can correct your mis interpretation of the agreement. There is NO suspended sentence at all! There is NO probation sentence neither!

If I file a civil action suit then the case will pick up where it left off which was before the dismissal hearing and before the motion to compel exculpatory evidence took place.

The agreement is that I am to abide by the laws like any other citizen has to do, PERIOD! It is the same thing that you yourself must follow.

I am running for Mayor as these facts must be explained properly unlike the Sentinel has done today! There was NO sentence handed out at all! I did not break any laws as I will continue not to break laws. I make these decisions as does any citizen. I understand consequences that is why I go about things properly utilyzing the proper means to do so as I will continue to do!

As far as probation officer goes, there is NONE, no monthly reporting, no fees, NOTHING!! The pre-trial probation is a period of time not a sentence! Nothing has changed as it just requires what is required of you and anyone else!

If I decide to file a civil action suit then the DA has the option to continue on with the case where it left off.

The Sentinel has wrongfully and knowingly mislead the public as I didn't "get" anything! Shame on the Sentinel for their attempt to sway public opinion falsly!
Cheer up

No! You haven't been at odds with the Sentinel for awhile. You always used any article in the Sentinel about any cop or firefighter and preached about it here on topix. You used the Sentinel anytime you got a chance for publicity to run for Mayor.

All newspapers are the same. Sorry but that is a fact. Take a journalism class. I did and the same is taught there. A reporter or newspaper can print anything that is stated or a fact BUT they do not have to print the entire statement or story. They can pick apart the statements and are allowed to print what they feel will sell newspapers.

They do not lie but they do report the story to be one-sided.

Now you know how it feels !

I disagree! Have an open mind for a second. Read this quote as if you didn't know any of the parties involved and just picked the article up to read it.

"Ex-Fitchburg mayoral candidate gets probation in assault"

Now be honest; How do you interpret this headline? The word "gets" is leading in itself, utilized in this context! It leads people to belive that it was a sentence and not an agreement. Probation is a sentence! Pre-trial probation is not a sentence at all! If I break the law then this trial returns to its' status before the agreement was made!

This headline and the article are misleading purposefully as I had written to the newspaper the day before! And YES, I have been in dispute with the Editor of this newspaper prior as I have written him letters which I have the copies of! It was a two way conversation also if you must know so the editor is aware of the conflict!

This paper did favorite Mayor Wong and did give the Mayor preferential reporting! If you remember the day before the election she was given an editorial contributor position /column with this paper! A position which she utilized to contradict the need for additional officers in fitchburg as response times were outrageous!!! Then just before the general election she assured the addition of 12 officers on the street within the city!!!

This is just one issue that the newspaper didn't call her concerning flip flopping which on this public safety issue is in a sense misleading the public; in other words; "Lying to the faces of the citizens of Fitchburg"!!

The public MUST always hold its local government to high standards especially when it concerns such ethics!!

Lets clear this up. If you stick to the terms the case will be dropped.

Q. What is pre-trial probation?

A. Pre-trial probation is an agreement between the government and the defendant that occurs before a trial or other final disposition, though the actual probation itself is administered and monitored by the probation department.

While pre-trial probation requires that the defendant be placed on either supervised or administrative (unsupervised) probation for a specified time period even before a criminal conviction enters, it benefits the defendant in that the case will be temporarily removed from the court docket list and then effectively dismissed provided the defendant successfully completes the probationary period.

One thing you need to understand, well actually there are many things you need to understand, is the fact that the Sentinel is in the business to make money. In order to do that they will only print stories that they believe readers will find interesting. You in general, are not interesting and the Sentinel understands that printing stories in regards to you and your ideas is wasted space. As far as Wong, she is a politician, THEY ALL FLIP FLOP. At the time she made the comment about not hiring more officers there was no money, she always said we need more but the budget said no. She had the same problem as every other city leader across the country. Her leadership put the city in the black and found money to add more officers. Maybe to you the issue was a big deal but to the Sentinel and the citizens of Fitchburg it was politics as usual. All your rants on here are based on stories from the Sentinel your just angry that they don't find you interesting enough to write about. What the Sentinel printed about your case is accurate, you arre on unsupervised probabtion for 2 1/2 years and your case will be dismissed after that if you comply.

Lynch, have an open mind for a second, Ex-Felon equates too Ex-Con, as in Ex-Convict. Now, let’s go a step further and put your particular case in prospective or in "context". You are now an Ex-Con that is on probation or as its said "back of a leash? And because of your continuous reckless behavior that put you back on a leash, the word "continuance" is meaningful in itself, and utilized in your circumstances just reinforces the old notion, "once a CON always a CON!

Society must always hold ex-cons accountable for thier behavior, especially when it comes to public safety.

Exactly, he is ex-con and will always be viewed and treated as an ex-con. He lost the trust of society. That will never come back to him and he needs to learn how to deal with that.

Being an ex-con and with a criminal record DOES mean that he has lost some rights that people with no felonies get to retain.

I don't care if he thinks he wasn't convicted or thinks he does not have a felony conviction because he pleaded and took the sentence.

It doesn't matter, he went to prison for a reason and that was for a horrific crime that will follow him thru life. He needs to accept that and engage in activities that he is allowed to do.

He can never be Mayor. He will run for Mayor because he feels he needs to make a statement and get the word out just like Nelson Mandela but he should concentrate all that time and effort on taking care of himself before he self-destructs.

It's possible the reason has a deep seated hatred towards professionals in both the public and private sector is that while normal people get a PROMOTION each year he gets PROBATION.

They both start with a "P" so it is possible.

Just wondering why he is so upset about the Sentinel and his image?
Does he think he is a celebrity or something. He is a nobody. A nothing.

They were willing to drop the case pending probation completion because they have bigger fish to fry. He is not worth it to go to trial over and tying up the courts.

Most court cases go this route now but this may be new to him.

I wonder what the total cost to the taxpayres will be just because this blowhard trouble maker had to make a big stink over a little thing? Even his boyfriend Gomez told the court that he told him it was a bad idea to stop and start something.

I wonder what the total cost to the taxpayers will be just because this blowhard cop had to ignore F-burg's parking rules. I am glad that Mr Lynch rightfully decided to make a stink over what some consider to be a little thing. The fact that Gomez told the court that it was a bad idea to stop and to take photos of illegally parked vehicles does not mean that anything illegal actually took place by Mr Lynch.

Rhe fact that a plea was taken does mean that something illegal happened. It just wasn't the cop who did something wrong. Know how the general public knows that justice was served? Because you and Lunch aren't happy with the outcome.

I admire your conviction to the cause. It's good to hear we have a brave man who will continue to fight the good fight. I hope you go on patrol today with a camera boy and get some good pics of illegaly parked cars. You're another champion for what is right in my opinion. Now get out there and get clicking champ.

Didn't the last guy who went around snapping pictures of illegally parked cars get brutally assaulted over it? Apparently, some people really freak out when you get cold hard proof of their wrongdoing, via a cell phone camera.

I suppose that some where, some place in F-burg there is illegal parking going on. But, my sources tell me that IT ISN'T happening over at JR's Pub anymore. So, inspite of the proud chestpounding that is now going on from Chuckles The Cop's fans; Chuck has learned an important lesson about how to properly park his vehicles. Ditto for his patrons, his friends and his family.

As I said before; my sources tell me that Chuckles The Cop and the Siomos clan are now so damn worried about ever getting caught up in a pickle like this again; that they even make sure to return their empty shopping carts back to the Cart Corral over at Market Basket. Simply amazing!

I see you're a little on edge there ole chuckles, with Alana? I would guess you would have every reason to be after spending several years now coaching and toying with a habitual liar who sucked you into believing him. It's a shame he didn't take your advice and end up back behind walls where he belongs chuggles. After all that time and energy you've put into this con artists efforts we can all now clearly see why you would be a bit disappointed and on edge. I bet you had a tough weekend when coming to the realization that you've been made a fool of by a professional con artist who you can no longer play hate cop internet “tag team” with.

It was actually fun watching you get sucked in and convinced by him that he had some phony offer which turned out to be just another one of his many lies after all. How’s it feel to be made a fool of by a professional con artist chuggles? You let your own disdain for our LEO’s get in the way of your clear thinking and swallowed his bait, hook line and sinker. It must be tough coming to terms with being made a fool of by a con artist. If I were a betting man chuggles, I'd bet it's just a matter of time now before he rats you out too. After all chuggles, didn't he once claim that he met you and that “you” are just another well to do landlord that doesn’t understand how tough it really is out there for his kind, after you “dissed” him and his Mayoral attempt? Or was that “just” one more of his many lies chuggles?

Chuggles, I’m starting to really feel bad that you lost your little internet hate cop tag team “toy boy”! So here’s a little tune that I hope might help you get over him…..
