Are you kidding me!!$200/day fine for snow on sidewalk?? City should be fined for turning off street lites at nite!! This has made the city unsafe- but politicians and beaurocrats are raising their own pay! Pleople can't even see their side walks! You poor people will need to buy many flashlites!!

Why $200 why not $200 million a day? It doesn't matter no court will say you have to shovel property you don't own. The city plows the snow on to its own property so it's their problem.
Also how many elderly people in wheelchairs do you see scooting down sidewalks at night during a snowstorm?

this goes to show how bad fitchburg is doing. i just say move now while you still can. the cops are all amped up to scout for sidewalk messes rather then patrol like they should be and catching criminals. thats because they dont get paid enough. so i advise everyone sell drugs, make under the table money, and move! screw this town and the crappy council who just want to rob everyone because everybody who lives here MUST be a junkie or a dope head. so why bother caring about the people who had no choice but to move here with limited funds because of a crappy red flag made economy?! trust me they are loving this because the state of mass has had enough of fitchburgs childish bs. just move!

How do you catch a criminal? Do you really think a crime will be committed in front of a police officer?
So how do you know what a criminal looks like and that the criminal is about to commit a crime?
Sorry but the cops respond to calls when they are reported, this isn't a martial law city where the cops can just interrogate anyone they want to just because they look suspicious.
They have to be caught in the act.

I have read a report concerning such violations on Cedar street. The only violations are empty houses and the city piles snow on these properties.
The city council gets an F in my book. The city didn't complain until complaints from Cedar street came in to city hall as they didn't plow the street.
The city sidewalks were not done till four days after the snowfall, they didn't even begin to clear sidewalks until four days after the snow ended.
It is just a constant disrespect from city hall against all Fitchburg citizens.
WHEN IS THIS MAYOR GOING TO DO ANYTHING FOR THE CITIZENS OF FITCHBURG,HONESTLY????? All you hear is "she is the first female asain mayor, who CARES???? Serious, why should this matter at all????
We need a leader who gives a shit about the citizens of Fitchburg.Name ONE thing that she has done for the citizens of Fitchburg,ONE???!!!
Politics suck! Fitchburg is FAILING in EVERY catergory!!! Ok, she was able to put money in the bank, at what costs? The savings went toward massive pay increases for certain city employees.
Look at the variety store on Main street; I think that they have had more robbers than customers!!Fitchburg is fast approaching a serious downgrade as many are calling it "little lowell".
