Saint Anna Parish and School

We were assigned a new priest about a year ago, and we were mourning the loss of our previous priest, because he was a wonderful man and an awesome spiritual leader. This new priest is young and it seemed like we would be ok, so we adjusted as we all would need to do. This priest promised good changes and specifically told us he would focus on our school, by making a good Catholic education more affordable.
The first change he made was to cut out the lunch program that included the cost of lunch in the tuition being charged, so we immediately experienced an increase in the cost for our children to attend there.
He then got rid of the Art teacher and replaced her with a member of a family in the parish that has initiated control over the school. This family has a family member on the school committee and a member that runs the PTO, and they have a personal agenda.
During the school year, he removed the principal (wonderful person) because he obviously has an issue with anyone that has any part in authority whatsoever, and the family mentioned here would have had challenges with her.
Our new priest, along with this family are cleaning house at the school, and we are losing some really effective and wonderful staff at Saint Anna School.
The school will see cuts in programs and some dramatic changes this coming year, so I feel compelled to get the word out to other parents of students at the school and/or others that have considered sending their children there...this school has a headmaster that is on a power trip and is a poor example of a human being, nevermind a priest.
When will the Catholic Church learn to screen these people and not let people like this earn places of power and do damage to others? Very sad!
We now have to remove our children and find another place for them to learn because Saint Anna School has been damaged by this "rogue" priest.
It has been said "power corrupts" and "absolute power corrupts absolutely". A priest should NEVER be given absolute power over everything without some means of checks and balances. When will the catholic Church learn?? Very sad!!
