Wow, I wouldn't have believed it, but at least two days out of the work week they have classes in the AM, during the day.

Couldnt be happier my kids are done with South Shore as of this year! No complaints about the school/teachers in general but with all these changes coming i dont think I wouldve kept my child in a school where there are boxing students walking around at the same time. Also, didnt they claim to close Westbrook for security issues but just 1 year later its supposabley suitable for a preschool?? I dont get that!

The 10-11am class is a crossfit class at the boxing academy that I would think some moms would love to have the opportunity to do before picking your child up from class. After getting a tour of the layout for south shore, I truly feel the kids will be fine. Besides, the current location isn't that great and a few years ago a cab accidentally plowed into the school! Yes, while classes were in session.

Unless public safety is your profession, I think parents will need more than just YOUR word that their 'kids will be fine' at South Shore Childrens Center. Knowing that there are locked gates across the hallways would scare the h*ll out of any parent looking to send a child there. If there's no safety concern for the children at South Shore Childrens Center's new location, then why would there be locked gates across the halls to begin with? If there's a fire or an emergency in the building I don't think anyone would want to be stuck on the wrong side of those locked gates. Very scary.

No need for rudeness Ben! They are installing Panic doors, so no one can get in from the other parts of the building and the entrance the kids enter in separate from the main entrance and there are inside doors that will be closed. What's the difference between this set up and if your child attended preschool at the YMCA???? Think about it.

They are installing PANIC DOORS? PANIC DOORS! Your own statement says it all. The safety of the preschoolers at SSCC's new location must be of great concern to the building's owners and South Shore Childrens Centers owners if panic doors are being installed. From what I understand about the building, the preschool is located in the back of the building facing an empty field on Route 231. Between that, the locked security gates within the building and the panic doors it would make perfect sense to question just how safe SSCC's new location is.

Why are you so concerned if you are not sending your kid there? It has nothing to do with you or your opinion. You seem to be just a trouble maker.

I thank God for those like Ben who watch over the safety of all children, not just his own children. The world needs more people like Ben. Peace.
