All you need to do is take the survey on the district website and fill in the blanks. It's as easy as one two three!
I took the survey and wondered why one of the q's was how much MORE in taxes am I willing to pay? That question shows how out of touch with reality Gellar and La Rosa are. The other 5 morons on the board put their tails between their legs and go along. They should be ashamed of what's happening to this town and stand up to those 2 twits. How can you show your faces in public?

The post above yours sounds correct. Why be so defensive? I never saw a lease sign outside of Kirdahy or Westbrook for that matter. If it's not be advertised how can you expect to generate interested parties? For $10 a square foot, I'm surprised you didn't have interested parties banging down the doors! Excess furniture, computers, smart boards most certainly can be needed by our district. They should have been removed, and stored. They could've been used to replace broken or worn out equipment as needed for the other elementary schools. If the Bridges academy has organized it's stuff inside our schools, they are using the schools. If they have filing cabinets and closets filled with their stuff, they are using our schools already. They have shown this school to the public during open house events, which means they are using our schools, it's rent time!
BTW, I think it should go without saying that Bridges will give residents of WI a reduced tuition rate for being tax payers in this district who through their taxes built Kirdahy into the school it is today.
By the time we pay the heat, the electric, the water, the maintenance, etc. for both Kirdahy and Westbrook what revenue will we have left over? I read that it costs 145,000. in heat and electric a year at Kirdahy.
I also hope that the SSCC will give the West Islip residents whose children attend a tuition reduction as well because the school is in the shape it's in by way of their already spent tax dollars, a good friend of mine said at the very least, that is what they should be doing.
The assets in Westbrook will be used too. That school is supposed to cost about 110,000. in utilities between heat and electric.
I have a child going into preschool in the Fall for a two year old program. NO discount was offered at either SSCC or Bridges to WI residents. While Bridges was a little cheaper (compared to SSCC) in tuition for that particular program if you registered early, the catch was that they wanted a substational amount put down in advance and some $300 processing fee!!!! I most certainly do not have a money tree in my backyard to shake!!!

South Shore Children's Center also requires a "processing fee" in addition to their very high tuition rates. We are lucky to live in close proximity to several excellent preschools. Although they would like people to believe so, SSCC is not the only "premier" preschool in the WI and Babylon area. Good luck to you and yours.

I would love recommendations. I just need a place that will change him if need be.... I know that's not always easy to find.

Value? Really??? Have you seen their prices? They're teaching abc and 123, not calculus.
They're all hype. A "premier" preschool? Really? Says who---them?
You'll notice that they weren't even nominated for a LI's Best award. Not even nominated.

My son started West Islip Tutor Time at 2 1/2 (hes now 4 1/2) and I've been very pleased with both the Pre-school and Pre-K programs. The teachers are great! They serve a hot lunch and healthy snacks everyday. He was not potty trained and it wasn't a problem. Their registration fee is $75. Lots of WI kids attend so he already knows a few who he'll be in KDG at Manetuck with. Check it out! Good Luck!

Yes I have seen their prices........my children went there and I could not have been more pleased.......Did your children go there ?.........The best thing about the place is the teachers, warm and caring........I can't say anything bad about any of the other preschools and they may be just as good......but I feel that SSCC is really a great place that did a fabulous job of preparing my children for their later school years......I highly recommend it........Good luck in your search...

My friend's son goes to New Beginnings and both she and her son LOVE it. I don't know how much or if they take kids not potty trained but she is a person who definitely does her research so I'm sure they are worth checking out.

A HOT lunch? OMG That's great! Wish I would have known that when my kids were in preschool. I live in WI but my kids went to Babylon Christian and they loved it. There are lots of WI kids in Babylon Christian preschol too. The teachers are amazing. I was pleased with everything there.$75 is reasonable for a registration fee. Anything more is just a $ grab for money hungry preschool owners.

The truth is that there are many wonderful schools in our area that offer pre school. I think your stretching a bit when you say it is "civil" since one poster accusses people of being "money hungry" not very kind at all I would say. People have to and should decide for themselves, go look at the schools, talk to the directors, see the place in action. Not every school is for every person or student. I am a former SSCC family, and I can tell you that it is a great school and the pricing is fair and competitve with other ones in the area. The teachers are wonderful, caring and knowledgeble.

Sorry if my opinion offends you, but any preschool that charges over $75 for a processing fee is just plain greedy. I think that South Shore Preshcool is way overpriced even though they say their tuition is competitive. They say their school is 'premier' but it's not offering kids anything that the other preschools in the area aren't offering too. I would be very nervous about sending my kids to a school that had locked gates across the halls to keep boxing club patrons from roaming into the preschool classrooms. Way too scary for me.

Yeah, they probably don't want you there anyway. Like stated above, go somewhere else if you don't want to pay for a quality preschool. Why come on here and bash them? Sounds like sour grapes to me.

How do you know that the boxing club patrons will be there during the same hours?

Go on their website and look at their hours of operation for the boxing club. Very simple thing to do.
