Just feel the summer homes should be properly assessed to be fair to the rest of the town taxpayers. Eventhough you don't get any services it needs to be pro portioned and not $6,000.00 but not $1,200.00 either. I feel $3,000.00 to $4,000.00 is fair.

If you feel that way, then maybe you should have come to one of the meetings. came and seen the older people with tears in their eyes because the houses that their grandparents and great grandparents built are going to be taken away from them because they dont have the money to have a normal long island home as well as their bayhouse with the increases that were proposed. Or because they cant stay on long island all year due to weather conditions and are no longer considered reisdents. These are family traditions that newcomers just wouldnt know how to take care of properly.
