Cops: Man tried to drive on Fire Island boardwalk

A Center Moriches man who was arrested after trying to drive his truck onto the Fire Island boardwalk Monday in Cherry Grove told police he missed a mainland turnoff that was 13 miles behind him, police said.

Man, yet another profit center for municipalities...just think of the bucks Coney Island and Long Beach could rake in let alone countless other places in the country copying us.

Towns, villages and cities could build boardwalks EVERYWHERE just to catch felons like this.
