This is ridiculous that we are exposing people, animals and plants to toxic chemicals in a highly populated area for mosquito control. It's not as if we have a malaria epidemic going on! When will this madness stop. Dozens of dead birds in Argyle Lake in Babylon should be a wake up call to you all. Also, how do people know when to stay indoors or close windows, etc. Does someone go around with a bull horn prior to aerial spraying?

I called the phone number listed in this article for information about the spraying and it went to a dead line. Great communication!
NO SPRAY Request Form

I went to the Suffolk County website and there is a form you can submit to request that they do not spray your home. If everyone did this we could end this senseless and harmful practice. There has not been any reported cases of West Nile Virus in Suffolk County this year, yet the spraying goes on.(The request is overruled if West Nile does exist)
