George may be a "nice " guy - however he's also an ignorant fool - the DA in all likelihhod offered him a deal if he'd plead out to a lesser charge - NO..........I'm innocent "the clock fell on the obnoxious drunk" - so they rap George with two Class B violent felonies, a Class D violent felony, and a Class E violent felony - George is going to be sampling a variety of "ethnic sausages" from the male population of one of our correctional facilities - Bon appetit George!

Everyone is innocent until proven guilty. Having said that, I am sure they are 100% guilty. Many policeman are arrogant and these guys are at the top of the list. The Ocean Beach Police have had a reputation for being SOB's for years.

They were seasonal hires. OB only has two year round cops. They get the bottom of the barrel because no self-respecting city cop would jeopardize his pension for $25 an hour.

"The charges stem from an August 2005 incident in which a New Jersey marketing executive, Samuel Gilberd, suffered a ruptured bladder after being arrested by village police for littering.ok? or somesuch/mtsay as we did in today's story that what seemed to precipitate the attack was the way Gilberd shut the door when he left the police station. Hey, Sandra Peddie. Looks like your notes were not removed from the online version of the newspaper. You call yourself a journalist? You are spending a lot of time trying to decide WHY the ALLEGED beating took place (or should I say the slant that you want to put on it)instead of doing REAL INVESTIGATIVE REPORTING, AND EXPOSING THE TRUTH, WHICH IS THAT NO BEATING TOOK PLACE AT ALL. WHAT ABOUT INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY? THIS IS NOT CREATIVE WRITING, WHAT YOU SAY AFFECT PEOPLE'S LIVES, AND YOU ARE ABUSING YOUR POSITION. YOU HAVE ALREADY TRIED AN HONORABLE AND INNOCENT MAN IN YOUR RAG PAPER. DO YOU HAVE A CONSCIENCE? HOW CAN YOU SLEEP AT NIGHT? DO YOU REALIZE THAT EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THESE GENTLEMEN ARE RESPECTED, HARD WORKING FATHERS WITH UNBLEMISHED RECORDS? THESE ARE FELLOW LONG ISLANDERS. HOW WOULD YOU FEEL IF YOU WERE WRONGLY ACCUSED & YOU WERE BEING TREATED THE SAME WAY THAT YOU ARE TREATING THESE MEN? YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF..

Yes, Tom, but am I saying anything that isn't true?
I have opened a thread on another board asking WHO IS NEXT IN THE BARREL. Tom Spota's barrel that is.
And here it is once again. This time it's OPD.
Look, for all I know this could be a rightgeous indictment of these four cops. Like I said even a broken clock is right twice a day.
My personal experiences with Tom Spota tell me different.
Make no mistake about it I have a very big AX to grind and I can be allowing my understandable bias to show. But I have good reason to do that.
I can honestly tell you that I have seen more lies in one trial than I have seen in my 29 years in the NYPD total.
When a DA has discredited himself time and time again it is hard to accept anything he does after that.
Everybody in law enforcement knows this except the people who count in the Suffolk County criminal justice system.
Do you think that 31 former distinguished prosecutors and judges would sign off on the Tankleff Amicus brief would have taken the unprecedented step of going against a sitting district attorney if they didn't believe there is something very wrong in Suffolk County? There was even a former Suffolk prosecutor who threw his name on that brief.
The Honorable Judge David Trager warned of such abuses in the scathing 1989 SIC report when he was then the author of that report when he said unless things change and change fast the entire criminal justice system will destruct. Boy, was he right. Things have changed, Judge Trager - they got worse and they are emboldened by not suffering the appropriate consequences of that most comprehensive report.
The biggest and most horrible result of that report is that the Suffolk politicians circled the wagons and got the legislature to reduce the budget of the SIC by 50% causing the lay offs of at least 14 investigators and support staff.
Is this what you want for justice in Suffolk County?
Please use your ax in the name of justice and come forward. You were (or know someone) who was put out to hang by Spota. You must know how George Hesse feels right now. He is an innocent man, and the DA has really made a big mistake this time. In the name of God and in the name of justice, everyone who can expose these ourageous accusations for what they are should feel morally obligated to come forward. Take your anger and turn it into truth and justice, please !!!!!

In all this, Where is Ed Paradiso the Chief of Police. I never see a mention of him or Natalie Rogers. They were in charge. Not Hesse and not Loeffler. I bet those 2 are sitting scared right now. All this should fall on them. They left this bag of crap to be sorted and fixed by other people. Are they not accountable. Natalie rogers lied and protected Paradiso all these years. Now its catching up. They are the corrupt. They let these 5 cops get out of control. They should all be in jail.

I for one welcome this lawsuit and hope it finally opens the public's eyes to the many perils one faces when they travel to Ocean Beach. From the very moment you step off the ferry, you have to pay attention to the extremely dangerous gap between the ferry and the dock. This is a problem that the ferry company and the town have ignore in a willful and neglectful manner. Then, as has been discussed, you are immediately met by the OBPD, which could at any moment select you at random to be clubbed and beaten with a wall clock. There are also vampires that only come out at night. And on a full moon, beware of the werewolf, who eats all the little children. I also heard there's an al Qaida sleeper cell there, hiding in the Albatross. If I was awarded $325 million, I would go out and buy a new television. And a sturdy mule. Thank you for listening to my insights on this contemporary topic.

Yes, Kevin Lamm is a LIMA cop, since about a year and a half ago. So much for his credibility. His saying that he hasn't been able to get a job as an officer since OB is a total lie. I wonder if the other 4 are lying too and woking as cops right now somewhere.
No, actually...He is an Airport Security Guard. Islip does not employ their own police officers at LIMA. They come off the security guard civil service list. THEY ARE NOT REAL COPS!!!
