PASCO, Wash. --A A While there is a misconception illegal immigrants don't pay taxes, new figures released from the social security administration show otherwise.A Social Security officials keep a record of wages that do not match up with real names and numbers in their system.

Anti-immigrant proponents, such a Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, O’Reilly, Dobbs and the “patriot” Mark Levin have done an excellent job confusing the public; making them believe that illegal immigration has a negative economic impact. When in fact, the truth, which is the exact opposite and all of them know it; yet they continue to obfuscate the truth and misdirect the public. Consider this:
According  to the Congressional Budget Office and the Social Security Administration, undocumented immigrants pay many different types of taxes, including sales, property, and social security taxes individual income, the most ignorant anti-immigrant radio or TV personality knows that the  1996 welfare reform bill disqualified illegal immigrants from nearly all means-tested government programs including housing, Medicaid and Medicare-funded hospitalization assistance and even food stamps, The only services that illegal immigrants  can still get is K-12 education and emergency medical care.
The influx in payment of taxes began in earnest in 1996, when the IRS created nine-digit individual taxpayer identification numbers (ITINs), It was designed to enable the IRS to track the tax returns of those who are ineligible for a Social Security number. It is believed that most taxpayers who use ITINs are illegal immigrants although a small portion of legal residents also has them.the Social Security Administration estimates that about seventy five percent (75%) of illegal workers contribute to the overall solvency of Social Security and Medicare by paying taxes.
In 2005 the agency estimates that on about $75 billion in wages from people who filed W2 forms with incorrect or mismatched data, about $9 billion in taxes was paid.
This amount would include illegal immigrants using fake names and Social Security numbers. Although the influence on Social Security is considerable because most of the money received is never claimed by the illegal immigrant who pays into the system. Instead of the money returning to the rightful owner, it is used to cover the deficit in retirement checks payable to legal workers.
They concluded that with high immigration the SSA's combined trust fund would be exhausted in 2043 and if the immigration numbers were half the amount, the fund would run out four years earlier.
Congressional hearing in 2006 then IRS Commission Mark Everson told Congress "many illegal aliens, utilizing ITINs, have been reporting tax liability to the tune of almost $50 billion from 1996 to 2003."
Even with hard numbers and facts verified by our own government anti-immigrant proponents continue to mislead the public.
Dr. William F. Ford a professor at Tennessee State University and  an expert on immigration and taxes assesses that (illegal immigrants contribute $428 billion dollars to the nation’s $13.6 trillion gross domestic product in 2006.)“If anything we need more immigrants coming into the country, not less, especially with the baby boomers retiring,” said Ford in an Associated Press article

Posting La Raza propaganda again. It has proven "undocumented immigrants" aka foreign nationals, cost more than they contribute overall. Not to mention crime, document fraud, theft, etc.

this replay isn't for you, you're an idiot, don't read it you'd like...The only state to do an exhaustive study of the cost of unauthorized immigration is Texas.
What they found is that unauthiorized immigrants add $17.7 Billion annually to the state GDP, resulting in lots of jobs for US citizens and lots of direct and indirect tax revenues.
As for the direct measurement of taxes paid minus the cost of services (social and otherwise) received, the unauthorized immigrants pay in a NET of over $420 Million per year in taxes paid minus the cost of services received.
The whole 'politically correct' crap of blaming all of our budget woes on immigrants is just plain not true. In short, it is a LIE.
AUSTIN — Illegal immigrants have boosted the state's economy by $17.7 billion and haven't been a drain on state government — but they did cost local governments $929 million in 2005, the Comptroller's Office reported.
The report by Comptroller Carole Keeton Strayhorn is the first comprehensive effort by the state government to calculate the benefits and costs of having 1.4 million to 1.6 million illegal immigrants in Texas.
Overall, the survey found that illegal immigrants pay more in taxes than they receive in state services.
The report's results quickly became part of a brewing legislative debate about whether it is right for people who are in the country illegally to receive services paid for by legal taxpayers.
The $17.7 billion positive impact on the state's economy does not factor in any effects of the immigrants sending money home.
The report estimated that there are 135,000 undocumented children in the public school system, costing the state slightly less than $957 million a year. Another 3,792 are in state colleges, costing about $11.2 million.
Medical services costly
The total cost for state services was $1.15 billion, but illegal immigrants, through sales and property taxes, provided $1.58 billion in taxes for the state. That was a net positive impact to state finances of $424.7 million, Strayhorn said.
Bill Hammond, president of the Texas Association of Business and a member of Texas Employers for Immigration Reform, said the report showed how important the illegal-immigrant work force is to growing the Texas economy.
"A growing, prosperous Texas economy needs a growing population. Immigrants fill an enormous gap," Hammond said. "Any immigration reform that ignores the needs of our economy will only delay reform and promote further illegal immigration, not end it."

Colorado illegal immigrants pay enough taxes to offset cost of their social services, study says

The Denver Post
POSTED: 04/23/2011 01:00:00 AM MDT
Colorado's undocumented immigrants pay as much in taxes as they consume in mandated social services, according to a study Friday from The Bell Policy Center.
The state's estimated 180,000 undocumented immigrants paid $167.5 million in taxes in 2010, the Denver nonprofit's study said.
The largest share came from sales taxes —$114.6 million — with another $30.9 million paid in income taxes and $22 million in property taxes covered mostly through rent payments.
On the other side of the equation, the state spent $166.5 million in federally required services, the Bell study calculates. Those costs include $107.5 million for K-12 education,$26.5 million for emergency medical care and an estimated $32.5 million in incarceration costs.
"This analysis clearly shows that claims that undocumented immigrants are the cause of our budget problems are way off base," Rich Jones, director of policy and research at Bell, said in a statement.

Hey Atl, let's see you post a long list of the engineering, medical, and/or technical discoveries and inventions that Mexico, or any Mexican, has given the world during the last 500 years.

Doing so would prove that you and your kind aren't half as "dumb" as the long winded "La Razist" propaganda that you paste around here.

Surely your beloved "La Raza" websites can "help you out" with this (very short) list...

While you're at it, maybe you could post the extremely high Hispanic "public assistance" and "high school dropout" rates as well.

Just "copy and paste" away Atl...

The scariest part of the whole thing is that there is no solution proposed by any of the GOP candidates or the current administration that addresses this issue properly:
http://www.cnn.com/CNN/Programs/lou.dobbs.ton...
"Since it's their business, and their money, they hire whomever they please, and run their business however they please. Serioulsy? Totally unregulated? I guess you want exactly the same thing for corporate America and Wall Street?
"Most of the commenters here want big government to make the hiring decisions, and they have the audacity to call themselvs 'conservative'?." No, they just want the farmers to hire Americans or (legal) Immigrants.
How about we apply that same sentiment to all big corporations and stop buying products from American companies that have shipped all of their factories to China, Mexico, etc? Seems that we are all crying that illegals are here doing work that Americans would never do for $10 an hour. But we willingly shop at the neighborhood retail store and buy cheap stuff that, if produced in America, would cost triple the amount (or more). If we, as citizens of the US were as passionate about demanding that US comanies stop sending jobs to other countries, as we are about blaming all of our unemployement problems on illegals, then maybe we'd have more companies keeping their factories in the US, and hiring more US workers. Our unemployement might drop so low that we wouldn't need to spend so much time worrying about the illegals picking our produce.

do you think is even possible that the people supporting immigration reform are not Mexicans or larasa organization members ( if exist )? You can think what you want but it contradicts with the resent polls EVEN from GOP republitards, or they are Mexicans to or laratsa members maybe:
To varying degrees, majorities of Republicans (57 percent) independents (68 percent) and Democrats (73 percent) believe the government should allow a path to citizenship.

Republicans (26 percent) are about twice as likely as Democrats (14 percent) and independents (12 percent) to back deporting all illegal immigrants.

Republican presidential candidate Gingrich has suggested letting local boards determine whether illegal immigrants can stay in the U.S.  Those boards would consider how long the person has lived in the U.S., whether they have a job and pay taxes, and whether they have a family here or other ties to the community. Most American voters believe illegal immigrants should be given a chance to apply for citizenship -- if they meet certain requirements.

In addition, just over half of voters like a plan -- floated by Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich -- to allow local boards to decide the fate of some illegal immigrants living in the United States.

A new Fox News national poll asked voters what government policy should be toward illegal immigrants currently in the U.S.  The results were released Friday.

Click here for full poll results.

Sixty-six percent think there should be a path to citizenship, but only if the individual meets requirements such as paying back taxes and learning English.  Nineteen percent of voters believe all illegal immigrants should be deported, and another 13 percent take the middle ground of a guest-worker program that would allow immigrants to remain in the U.S. for a limited time.

Whose pockets were filled and whose pockets were robbed? Corporations picked up a profit. Did they pass the savings along to consumers? Taxpayers picked up the bill. Did their schools improve? LMAO Did the jobs they created afford the job taker an income above the poverty line? Not exactly.

Let's go back to the better more comprehensive study:

http://www.thesocialcontract.com/artman2/publ...

Summary:

Illegal immigrants in California have increased in number by at least 50 percent, and possibly as much as 200 percent, since 1994. Because the average immigrant has few years of schooling, their incomes are low. Consequently they are eligible for many (federally mandated) state government services, but pay little in taxes. Specifically, the average illegal immigrant receives eight to twelve dollars in services for every dollar they pay in taxes, roughly twice the disparity found in 1994.

In the aggregate, illegal immigrants impose a “tax” on legal California residents in the tens of billions of dollars. Their costs, net of taxes, consume about 20 percent of the entire state budget, crowding out vital services or lower taxes for legal residents.

copy and pasted idiotic statements from numbersusa about that the illegal immigration cost us 100 billion a month and it's the reason for the banking crises housing bubble burst worldwide economic downturn probably for the Iraq war too, won't be surprised what I read in cis or numbersusa-for lowering levels of immigration ;-) Which translates to for lowering levels of America ? Since America was build by immigrants both legal and illegal

We all know by now that GE didn’t pay even a penny of taxes. We know other corporations are also guilty of defrauding the American people out of their hard-earned tax dollars. Apparently you can be a citizen, as the Supreme Court recently ruled corporations are, yet pay no taxes. The Tea Party cries about “class warfare” and “redistribution of wealth” but both of those are more than acceptable as long as they’re not aimed at the wealthy or at corporations. It is on our backs – average American citizens – that the weight must fall.
At the same time, we’re being told that immigrants are (warning: National Socialist comparison here) parasites, a danger to the health of the country. These people, we are assured – these brown people – are not only an infection we must fight off but they’re freeloaders, sucking the wealth out of our country, receiving our money as entitlements while they wile away the hours apparently relaxing and enjoying themselves.
So who are the real parasites?

So who are the real parasites?
Bernie Sanders has recently provided us with a list of “corporate freeloaders”:
Exxon Mobil’s 2009 profits totaled $19 billion, yet according to its SEC filings, the company received a $156 million rebate from the IRS plus it didn’t pay any federal taxes.
Bank of America made $4.4 billion in profits last year. This was after it received a $1 trillion bailout from the Federal Reserve and the Treasury Department, and a $1.9 billion tax refund from the IRS.
General Electric has made $26 billion in profits in the United States over the past five years. It’s also received a $4.1 billion tax refund from the IRS. GE has cut a fifth of its American jobs in the past nine years, and is boosting jobs overseas – where tax rates are lower. And where it can continue evading U.S. taxes.
Chevron’s IRS refund last year totaled $19 million but it’s 2009 profits came to a whopping $10 billion.
Boeing received a $30 billion contract from the Pentagon to build 179 airborne tankers. It also received a $124 million refund from the IRS.
Valero Energy made $68 billion in sales and received a $157 million tax refund check from the IRS. Over the past three years, it has received a $134 million tax break thanks to the oil and gas manufacturing tax reduction.
Goldman Sachs paid 1.1% of its 2009 income in taxes. Yet it made a profit of $2.3 billion. And guess how much it received from the Federal Reserve and U.S. Treasury Department?$800 billion.
Citigroup profits last year totaled more than $4 billion. But it paid zero dollars in federal income tax, and received a $2.5 trillion bailout from the Federal Reserve and U.S. Treasury.
ConocoPhillips profits from 2007 through 2009 totaled $16 billion. But it was still awarded $461 million in tax arrears because of the oil and gas manufacturing deduction.
