Major cleanup work set to begin at fuel spill site

POLSON - A major cleanup project is scheduled to begin this week at the site of an April 2 truck accident that spilled nearly 6,400 gallons of gasoline along Montana Highway 35 near Flathead Lake.

I hope that the Mt Dept does the right thing and keep Hwy 35 for local traffic and residents only. This area is such a treasure and should not be taken for granted. There is only one Flathead Lake and it should be preserved for future generations. This road was not built for the weight and traffic and speed that it's being used for now. This is a scenic route for all to enjoy. Times have changed. Lets protect what we have.
