Alaska pundit says Palin ‘channeled’ Karl Marx,‘rolled out communism’ in passing a “Venezuela-style” oil tax
March 28, 2013
In Alaska, a heated battle is being fought over whether to reverse one of Sarah Palin’s signature accomplishments as governor, the drastically increased oil tax system that she called “ACES, Alaska’s Clear and Equitable Share.”
As I note in Unlikely Liberal, Palin’s new oil tax was the largest tax increase in Alaska’s history. The attack on her oil tax legacy is being led by Republicans, including her replacement as governor, Sean Parnell (a former oil company lobbyist); most of those defending Palin’s oil tax Democrats.

Let’s Closely Examine McCain’s Record
2/1/2008
Following his wins in the South Carolina and Florida Republican primaries, Arizona Sen. John McCain has become the front-runner for the GOP presidential nomination. He has spent the last year attempting to convince the conservative base of the Republican Party that he is one of them — but his record in the Senate shows otherwise.
Most voters know about his anti-free speech McCain-Feingold campaign finance reform. His temper is legendary, and his mistreatment of conservatives and fellow Republicans has earned him accolades from the liberal media who lovingly refer to him as a “maverick.” And he suffered a blow to his campaign last summer after his second failed attempt to pass the McCain-Kennedy guest-worker/amnesty bill. But his apostasies go far beyond that into taxes, judges, life concerns, same-sex marriage, energy and other issues important to conservatives.

Now how were any of those positions to the left of President Obama? Remember to compare two things you have to examine both of them, not just one.

<quoted text>Have you ever listened to McCain's daughter speak, that there alone is enough to tell you how she was brought up and how she was influenced by Liberalism.
So why did it take so long for Conservative demigod Ronald Reagan to be called out for being a Liberal? I'll tell you why. Because all of your terrible political choices magically BECOME "Liberals" when the truth of what they did comes to light. I wonder why nobody was calling Reagan a Liberal when he was raising taxes 11 times on the middle class? I think it's neat that you have to travel back through time and rewrite history to even come close to making sense in your choices. Combine that with the fact that you can't admit you are a Tea Bagger and have been your whole life and I think we get a pretty complete picture of the shame you feel for being who you are.

Now let's all stop and easily remember if it was the Conservatives or the Liberals who backed Cheney. Better get spinning, boy. Your lame ass excuse for the terrible decisions your Bible voting camp has made at the cost of this nation is wearing thin.

A quick and magical trip back in time to rewrite history and presto...we have Cheney putting flowers in the barrels of American soldiers as they ship out to a meaningless no bid contract Halliburton war against right wing Tea Bagger Christianity's number one religious rival.

McCain was no conservative by any stretch of the imagination, but he certainly wasn't left of DumBama. Nobody is left of DumBama. DumBama had support from the US Communist Party both elections. You can't be much more left than that.

Winkin Blinken and Nod just said today 'that ISIL would be eradicated by the time the next administration took control.' That's about two and a half years away. Kick the can, much? If we can't depend on them to put a hole so big in the desert that it can be seen from space, then we really can't call them leaders. Fess up guys, your party is as worthless as a screen door on a submarine. They threw away the gains made in Vietnam 40 years ago, Afghanistan and Iraq in this decade and have contributed more to extremism than any other administration in our history. Syria and Libya for example. Not to mention the brief Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. You can't argue those simple facts no matter how much you link, bend, twist and contort. Radical Muslims don't care if you're D or R. All they want is your cranium to split via 9mm Luger. Get your ish together boys. Squabbling back and forth isn't the answer.

I have to admit to having voted for McCain but it was primarily because of experience over an Illinois senator that kept voting 'present' in his 1st & only term.
In 2012 I voted 3rd party.

Switch to LEDS? You mean the Conservatives bold stand against higher efficiency light bulbs was all just oil lobby sponsored garbage? We'll file it next to birth certificate, FEMA Death Camps, and Obamacare Death Panels. You know. Those historically documented absurd claims you guys used to cover your obvious racism. Bet you guys miss the good old days, before the internet, when you could say anything and never be held accountable for it.
