Jesse Comstock, the father, may have a reason for the argument in use of Marijuana by his daughter. Anger over the divorce and especially the child support provisions including medical cost of insurance to his budget by take home pay vs the health and welfare of the child.

Visitation rights may be another reason along with his attorney wanting to make a name for themselves in the marijuana medical controversies.
