Every day I drive from the Airport Expressway to 86th Street. There are always drivers who go TOO fast through the construction zones. Going 45 mph means you run the risk of being run over! I'm not surprised something like this happened.

I was on my way to work at 5:15 am and drove past this accident on the way down. For the life of me, I have no idea why people going the opposite direction slow down to 35-40 mph to watch the accident. I had to drive in the fast lane just to get to the speed limit. As soon as you got the past the accident, everyone went back to normal speed. Never understand why so many drivers want to slow down to see an accident. Never have understood it.

It's called rubber necking my friend, and it is just natural curiosity as humans to know what happened or what is going on.

Yeah, but why.... I mean, it's an accident. You are driving a car. People that do it are trying to cause another accident.

Let the police, ambulence, etc... do their work while you pay attention to the road. But I guess no matter how much I complain, people will be people and still do it.

No wonder we have the traffic jams we have. It's caused by accidents and rubber neckers.
