Sort of reminds me of your your great, great ,great , grandfathers who told your members that it was not sin to own black people as ;property which contributed to the deaths of 600,000 Americans. Sola Scriptura told them the Bible said that.
My great great great grandfathers were more likely to be slaves than own them.

That's just flat out sin and heart problems. Sola scriptura or no sola scriptura- slavery has existed since the dawn of time. SS not the culprit.

Good old fashioned sin is the culprit. And slavery is alive and well even today, and even in this country. Prostitution and drug running are the major culprits.

Real bad in southern California.

Should we enter a post-industrial dark ages, I wonder.

Do the Ten Words from God supersede all primitive and modern societies to establish a universal set of Laws/Commandments?

16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,
17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

But the issue to grasp is God has long established standards for who can add what to the Holy Scripture. Paul abjectly fails that test, just as Joseph Smith Jr. also does. Trouble is that many believe false prophets today, just as they did in the days of the Prophets and the days since Jesus Christ.

You can feel smug to trust in Paul, but your smugness rests in the hands of a Roman Pope - not God.
